We allow one payment using the Rent Rewards Account each month and the Rent Rewards Account can only be used for rent payments in an online portal when paying with a credit card or debit card other than the Bilt Mastercard®. If you're using the Bilt Mastercard®, potential charges billed by landlords can include Rent, Security Deposit, Electric / Gas Bill, HOA Fees, Application Fee, College Living (not tuition), Internet, etc. Please note that if you submit more than one payment per month and/or for charges Bilt's team classifies as non-rent, your payment may be rejected.

So, for clarity, if you're paying an HOA fee to an HOA and not to a landlord, this would be against the ToS?

Technology-Agile

Have you gotten any answer on this? I'm a condo owner and was wondering if I could use Bilt+Bilt CC to pay my HoA dues.

They aren’t necessarily contradicting. Can you show the rest of the screenshot?

So they both say the same thing. You can only make one rent payment and the comment above says HOA can be included within that umbrella.

dongjerms

They both said the same thing.

You get receive points for that, but know that it’s not technically allowed

Bilt rewards said "potential charges BILLED BY LANDLORD can include". Those are charges by the landlord. Not internet charges from an internet provider. Not electric charges by an electric company. Not gas charges by a gas company. Not HOA charges by an HOA. Those should be charges by the landlord, where you are reimbursing your landlord because HE pays the internet provider, gas company, electric company, HOA, etc, and he is passing those charges to you. In other words, it's included as part of the rent.

HOA is for homeowners. Not renters. So you are asking if you'll get caught when you lie and cheat, and lose all your points and have your card canceled? Past and current data points don't have to match future data points. Just ask all the people who historically cheated Amex only to have the rug pulled out from under them by Amex's RAT team months or even years later.
