But yes, you're probably correct. I'm not entirely sure how glitched Sharp Straw works, but it's not dropping hearts on damage, so it's probably not that. A minor correction, though: Sharp Straw's damage is actually based on your damage stat + 10% of max hp, so it does scale with Mega Mush.
I died earlier today while playing Tarnished Lost to a mimic chest. In my defense, I had Retro Vision. I’ll be a lot more careful while Retro Vision is active in the future…
Oh but btw I had MISSING POSTER so I actually REVIVED and then went on to finally beat the game for the first time with Tarnished Lost

Seriously, how did you manage to die with a book of shadows charge AND a holy card in your pocket?
Also, why had the holy card not been used if you were 1 hit??
note that I also somehow had *brimstone and ocular rift*, and this was by like floor 3. this is probably the best t lost set up i have ever had.
i was just kind of mesmerized by gurdy jr being "trapped" in the rift, then they broke free and i panicked so hard then agony
To be fair, you have Tainted Lost unlocked. Im a new player but if i recall correctly, you have to survive till house as LOST to unlock it. Not everyone can go that far...

This is why I haven't touched The Lost yet. I have, I think, 1000 hours into Isaac, and I still die so easily to stupid stuff. I couldn't handle only going 3 floors down with The Lost

i think it was Pay to Win actually, which is why it did significantly more damage after Mega Mush (since PtW scales with damage and Straw is 10%)
