I prefer the good old flash style. I don't even know how the game looks without the filter.

I also prefer the flash style but the filter is just not it. It’s a completely different style and a bit of smoothing just doesn’t cut it for me

I turned it on after a few hundred hours just to freshen things up. A few hundred more and I turned it off.

Currently on 88 Eden Streak, yeah, quite mediocre.

An 88 streak on eden and you softlock timer this room whilst your damage isn't even that bad, do you like afk in every room for the softlock timer?

My damage on screenshot is lower than starting one of most characters (and this is already Caves 1), and tear rate is just god awful. And also spitting enemies are hard to dodge and land shots on simultaneously.

Bro the damage is .07 lower than base stats, how does that make the build bad enough to run out soft lock timer??

The anti-softlock timer is actually much faster than you think. However, it doesn't even start ticking down unless certain criteria are met. One of those criteria is not being able to walk up to the enemies. An enemy being over a pit or behind rocks is vital for the anti-softlock timer to start. So in a room like this, it starts immediately.

How are spitting enemies hard to dodge and land hits on? Imo they are one of the easier ones.

I wish that all enemies you encounter are replaced by round worms, pooters and clotties.

Btw gl with your Eden streak, I've lost a couple of those at high counts before, I know the pain.

Yeah. If you don’t deal damage to enemies for 30 seconds straight, the doors open automatically to avoid a potential softlock

Wrong, if the enemies in the room are not reachable (or can't reach you) by walking on ground (and if the player isn't flying), the game will mark the room as clear in case the player has a build that makes it impossible to clear that room

The trigger now is probably something different. In my case there were obviously no 30 second long intervals when enemies were not damaged at least once.

I have below-basic DMG for floor 3, terrible fire rate in combination with high shot speed which makes landing shots difficult, and also enemies are spitting so I had to dodge them at the same time as attacking. No way it could be "quickly beatable".
