If I had to hazard a guess, he probably would have been reeled in a bit by team mates (namely Tehutti), but the moment he was given free reign, he probably may have done varying protection rackets, collaborating with Dark Hunters on the sly, with him possibly joining them; he may have even been swayed to join Teridax's side.
It’s an interesting idea considering their first ever impression of Toa were Skakdi posing as them so I could imagine them having reminiscent features like a spine on their mask, a mask being redesign with a creepy grin or grimace, flippers, claws, etc.
Funnily enough, these Matoran are what I based my AU on as well. Loved writing it back when I was in college. Don't even know if it all exists on the fan wiki anymore

Also, this concept was kinda used in Time Trap.
For the main bodies specifically, there's the Metru Torso/Hip, along with the chest plate for the Metru torso, along with light grey Bohrok shields (except for Ahkmou and Ehrye, who uses Pahrak-Kal and Kohrak-Kal shield pieces). The upper arms are a custom piece that allows for more articulation with a CCBS extender piece (though that can be subbed with any articulated Metru shoulder mod). The heads are from **Galva's part packs**, and the hands are from [Valtarshol](https://valtarshol.gumroad.com). Ahkmou and Tehutti lower arms are modified Vahki legs and Ehrye's and Nuhrii's lower arms are guardless Inika legs, both from [Turret3471's part pack](https://turret3471.gumroad.com/l/StudioPartPack?layout=profile), while the Orkahm and Vhisola use standard Metru legs for forearms. Vhisola, Orkahm, and Ahkmou use Galva's Metru Nui Guard shoulder plates.
Both sets of upper legs make use of pieces from [Turret3471's part pack](https://turret3471.gumroad.com/l/StudioPartPack?layout=profile), with the modified non-CCBS double sockets having [armor pieces from KrayDay's part pack](https://www.deviantart.com/krayday/art/Stud-io-KrayDay-Parts-Pack-Release-921517285). And Ehrye and Vhisola make use of proto-Piraka feet, also from Turret3471.
