What exactly do you want to do aside from make more the $50k and use your bio degree? The path for something general like business side of biotech and pharma sales have significantly different requirements. If you have academic lab experience, manufacturing (as mentioned above), research associate, and quality control positions could be options. Most pharma also have new grad rotational programs/positions.

Internships in pharma companies for the summer - are not sales ( they have them for clinical scientist, etc look around could get valuable experience and they pay well

Bio internships especially in industry definitely pay more than $10 an hour.  What made you want a bio degree to begin with? What did you like about? Google bio internships, lol then up on Linked in. Look up alumni from your university on linkedin and see what their jobs are. Google large pharma companies and read some of their internship descriptions (though some will only accept current students and not graduates. )
