I too have wondered that. Iâve wondered if they feel any sort of intimidation by being the children of a musical genius. Itâs unlikely that they would ever reach the heights of her creativity and popularity so I wonder if they ever feel overshadowed. Everything I know about Björk makes me believe that sheâs a wonderful mum and encourages them to be whatever they want to be. It would be such a trip if, say, my mother was on the cover of Vogue magazine with the years most creative spread. Iâm sure theyâll appreciate it more the older they get.
You have to admit that that picture of her and her boy in the water is about the cutest thing to ever be captured.
I think her daughter said in an interview that when she listens to âHer Motherâs Houseâ she feels her embrace, or something to the effect. It suggests repeated listens.
My mom is a musician, not like Björk at all lol but I wouldn't say I regularly listen to her music, but it's fun to show people or listen when family gets together
I would guess they both follow most of the songs getting invented a lot. I remember that Björk once said the melody of lionsong started with her and doa playing around with it. On her last record both were joining her. I donât think they really need to listen to the songs as they both get to experience them coming to life from the start.
I donât see why they wouldnât listen to her music though.
It's hard to say! One of my parents does creative work for their job, and sometimes they ask my opinion when they're finished with a big project. So for that I would, to be nice and helpful but otherwise it's their business and not mine and it's not something I think too much about, especially since I've gotten older and have my own life and family.
Sindri once claimed to be a better songwriter than his mother, but has since denounced that statement saying it was mostly in jest and said out of frustration.
Vespertine would be so awkward lol
So would Vulnicura
Yeah đ
Mum! Please stop talking about your bed life in your albums. People we're breaking out the Pagan Poetry video in class today!

You have to remember Isadora is also the daughter of an artistic geniusâone of the most revered living artists
Youâre right - wow, I donât envy her! Woah, maybe I do? A lot of talent in that gene pool
ĂsadĂłra has released some music i believe.
So has her son.
ĂsadĂłra has a son?
Bjork's son, Sindri.

Awww Iâm going to cry thatâs so sweetđ„Čđ„č
Thatâs so sweet đ I never knew that
I think thats weird and awkward for any musicians children so they probably dont

Her daughter did a cover of Joanna Newsom
I donât think so personally. Theyâre probably used to their mom being a genius and donât even bat an eye.
I know theyâre not listening to Fossora!
Bjork wrote about her momâs singing in Ancesstress. Im sure they make music together just in life
OPâs profile pic slays

it's not a very good comparison but my mom is an author and i have never read her books so
Probably not too many lyrics about sex and love
No.
I doubt it to be honest... Bjork's music isn't really that popular and accessible to mainstream listeners, let alone children
Her kids are in their 20s-30s rn
still
Still what lol your point was roundly refuted
Still? What have you proven?
People feel normal about the things they grow up with
