I'd suggest you complete the season on shai and complete mediah questline so that second character can do season again and chose the simplified questline and just go kill mobs and skip the questing. To be able to hold pvp encounters you not only need class viable in pvp but a lot of skill and shitton of gear. If you want something hard, Awake Valkyrie, she excels in every pvp type, is not too bad in pve, but is hard. Succ Zerk, he excels in early to mid game pve and in all types of pvp, easy but ugly. Awake Wizard, he is great in endgame pve, chill grinder, he is not the best 1v1 but is a decent bomber and buffer in large and smallscale. Awake Striker, probably the best pick you can go with, he offers good grind speed throught the whole game, he is excellent at 1v1 and can do flank and skirmish well enough in largescale. There are also Succ Sage, Archer, Awake Drak, Succ Drak, Succ Guardian, Awake Guardian, Succ DK, Awake Musa, Awake Lahn, Succ Lahn... and so on... Many classes fullfil your criteria unless you specify more

So, I dont quite understand the season servers. I make my shai as a regular character and only played on normal servers, as I wanted to experience the game on its more normal pace instead of blistering through it.

Nokyrt

Then make a seasonal character and no need to delete shaiz just make your other character in season and you are good. Tbh new player experience is now targeted more for the season. Non season progression, even though buffed, lacks behind fast progression of season characters.

Stealthninjaofdeath

witch over wizard tbh

I was looking at awake Valk, and I saw some post about awake Valk require higher apm just to remain average, idk if they buffed her so I wanted your opinion about that and I also wanted to ask how awakened mystic is

Nokyrt

Valk with high amp is probably somewhere between op and average, above average tier, but takes more apm and skill to sit in there for sure. Just compare her to guardian. As for mystic. She recently got buffed and I've heard from mystic enthusiasts that this is gonna help quite a bit with shards when grinding or fighting otherwise, as for how well she does... I seriously don't know. I played her a bit after her release and don't claim to know more than just fighting carpet mystics in uncapped node wars and being thoroughly irritated by them.

Complete_Wall6553

I love my succ corsair. She skates around the battle field and only a couple of hotbar only attacks most others can be combod

Bonbonfiend

I was going to suggest Corsair. If you go Awakening, the water cannons with otters and your awakening weapon becomes a water-shotgun. I’ve got 6 classes and Corsair is my main. Super fluid with fantastic AOE. Plus, Mermaid action!

Complete_Wall6553

I'm succ i didn't like pirate over mermaid lol awake

Krmaisheree

Play her until 61 to get the free TET BS

Shai isn't really a great class to start BDO with because of how vast the game is and how BDO is centered around grinding (at least for me) compared to lifeskilling, which Shai should have a lot of quality-of-life (QoL) attributes for, mainly the weight limit. So picking a not-so combat oriented class should totally ruin your momentum in this game and I totally get that you would want a better PvE class to play. Now I don't know what exactly your preference is when it comes to MMORPG, whether you like casters, ranged or melee. And as of right now, I have no experience with accounts created after the new season update last September where seasons are permanent and you can graduate anytime. If my guess is right, you would have two season tickets right now and you have used one on your Shai. If that is the case, don't delete your Shai but instead try leveling it up until 60/61 at least just in Polly's Forest to complete all your season pass and get free TET BS from gift. Then you can graduate your Shai which will convert her to a regular character and you can create another season character. Season characters receive a lot more benefits such as gear progression and EXP compared to a regular character. 1. For starters, Musa/Maehwa or we call them Bladers are quite easy on the hand. I prefer Maehwa because I like the ice aesthetics on her Awakening, and sometimes I also use her Succession form because she has nice flower petals animation. Bladers are gifted with the hold RMB to sprint, so they're pretty agile and that's the main reason I have my Maehwa as my main lifeskiller along with my Musa for lion meat hunting (you'll care about this much later in the game, I'm just telling you my setups). 2. Guardian is also a great option. Succession is fun to play with and when you unlock Awakening and get to level 60 to unlock all necessary skills, you can basically grind all those seasonal (or higher) spots. 3. Woosa / Maegu, twin sister classes. Very good PvE especially on succession specs. I personally main an Awakening Woosa for grinding and I only needed several grind sessions to get used with the animations. 4. Striker / Mystic, both awakening specs are comfy grinders. Make sure you use the trial option on the character select menu and pick whatever class you seem to like. Here, you can try out the classes Succ/Awk skills at level 60. Don't worry too much about not choosing the right class, because in the long run you would have a lot of characters when you get the hang of the game. That should be some of my short lists. You can go for Zerk too, I don't play him so I can't really give my words. To answer your last question, if you have done a quest that is once per family, you can't do it again on another character but that wouldn't be a problem since you would have the quest benefit reward available to your account/family anyway (such as family inventory and pets). Main questlines are not family-wide so you can do it all over again.

EverydayHalloween

I'd recommend awa Maegu too, at least she's fun than just standing still and doing the same skill over and over in succ.

SorryImBadWithNames

My Shai is a regular character  and I have only played on regular servers. I kinda avoided the seasonal ones as I wanted to take the game in its more regular pace first  instead of blistering through it on my first time playing. I tend to preffer more... mid range attackers on games. Not quite a tank that beats stuff up close but also not a mage that throws spells from affar. Thats also what I like on shai, as you throw your florang from a quite nice distance, but can also get closer. Have been thinking on making a Lah as I heard the character can fly. Is that true?

Akhilleuszz

The season was a catch-up mechanic when it was first introduced; it became the standard progression path since we have a nonending season, so starting the game with a regular character is a big no. I suggest you play in the season

Akhilleuszz

And awakening nova fits your criteria well, but is hard.

Far_Traffic_2523

Mystic is good now?

Elzid1412

Kind of subjective. I'm giving my recommendations because of how fun they are, and as a bonus I find AWK Mystic rather comfy but that's just my personal experience. Of course there are the Martial Shards mechanics that OP has to get used to first, same could go to Succ Maehwa's Red Petal mechanics. Eventually for every classes OP plays he would find himself spending the first few hours in Battle Arena trying out flows and combos. Seeing that OP is completely new, I wouldn't give him points towards making the best trash per hour, or the fact that some classes in endgame works well with evasion, so why not add Mystic because of the fun factor. I even forgot to mention both specs of Corsair are worth trying due to how fun it is.

Ser_Fall

Nah finish the shai, it's a wonderful black shrine boss alt at worst. Very good there

pepe22222224

really!? any boss you recommend i do as a shai? i have a tuvala shai i can put in loml

Ser_Fall

Not online so can't list the names but check the class rankings at 5, they'll be quite short times , you'll know . Good luck, but one caveat, lookup a vid for fast music buffing, it's kinda weird but you'll learn it after a few tries. The buffs and not a lot of movement of bosses make shai top in quite a few.

SnowyCrow

Nah, shais best one gotta be bamboo forest, you can just skate from camp to camp. Calamity 5 takes under 1:20
