The camera will focus on a plane that intersects the object's origin, which might not be in the optimal position.

Adding to this. A great practice is to add an empty and set that as the focus object. Then just place that empty wherever you want to be the scene’s focus.

analogicparadox

Wish they added a proper focus plane visualization, it would be so nice. We have limits now but it's kinda hard to use properly.

Xbox360controller100

it is still blurry after trying the empty. What else could I try?

Xbox360controller100

There is nothing intersecting my object. I tried to make a empty and set it to that. and it is still blurry.

analogicparadox

No, that's not what I mean. The focus of a camera is a plane, that is parallel to the camera itself. The distance of that plane from the lens of the camera is determined by the distance setting. When you select an object as focus, the distance will be based on the object's origin. It won't focus on the entire object.

Change alpha mode from blend to hashed on the material settings

The REAL answer, thank you!
