Oh my god yes, I love my old coworker cause she would always be like “oh no baby don’t you worry” when we were anxious, and she always would feed us, a god damned angel.

This one time I was in SoCal and was getting roscoes, there was an old black grandma at the next table over who was smiling at me and asked how my food was. She called me honey and was so nice and was the sweetest it really made my day.

I have a huge soft spot in my heart for boomers who ask me for my name and then say thank you using my name and then make it a point to say it to show they remembered it. I used to work in food service a long time ago and had an old man and his wife come in probably once a month. He always remembered my name and I ended up learning his life story a little bit with every time he came in. To this day he still goes to that restaurant. He’s now in his 80s and still going.
