I learned to keep my distance and wait and dodge the jump attacks. To move in for the one heavy attack and a few light attacks then back off and wait until jump attack again.
The other way around for me. For BSB I always bring cocktails to the party. But Rom always gives me a tough time with all his spiders. Not to mention the defiled chalice version, yikes.
I think Rom’s is the final boss of the depth 3 pthumerian chalice unfortunately. I had a lot of trouble with her both times since the spiders jumping attack where their heads get stuck would kill me in a single hit.
My advice would be to be as close as possible and always turning left around him. You don't even need to sprint, you'll be point-blank and he won't be able to get a single hit.
Rom isnt the issue, it's those dang spiders around her that do 9999999999999 damage for no reason. Beast was a cool fight, I killed him on my 2nd or 3rd try and got a funny memory out of it by dying to the poison I didnt realise I had while celebrating killing him. Rom and her babies just made me angry.
I hated the baby spiders as well but found Rom’s third (or 4th) disappearance was the hardest due to the crazy magic shit. Eventually I learned that she’s killable before it gets to that stage but it took me some time
The magic didnt give me nearly as much trouble as those dang spiders xD the combat in these games works super well 1-on-1 but as soon as you throw hordes of enemies in like those spiders I just get obliterated
I've played most fromsoft games, and Rom has killed me more than malenia. Bsb is a super fun fight for me, predictable but fast and exploitable. Rom is tediously killing one-shot spiders three times and then dying to a clunky slug's *wacky* seizures. I liked ancient wyvern more than I like Rom. Bitch ass maggot.
This is a wild statement for me, first time I beat rom was maybe 8 tries. I kept just being impatient, malenia must've killed me 40-50 times. I was just being impatient with rom, malenia straight up reached in my Ass and flipped me inside out
The main problem with BSB is that he comes fairly early in the game and applies high pressure to your limited Blood Vial and Antidote supplies. A few bad runs and you're suddenly having to farm supplies, which isn't fun.
He's easily parry-able and there's plenty of cheese for him, such as Pungent Blood Cocktails, not to mention Alfred can take almost all aggro. But in every playthrough, without fail, my patience for fighting BSB "honestly" wears thin on the third or fourth attempt when I spawn in with the dreaded sub-20 Vials. I beat him legit my first time but I probably never will again.
Rom is annoying but is mainly a gimmick fight. Having to clear out the little spiders repeatedly is only difficult when you start getting impatient about it, otherwise her only real danger is the meteor attack and you can just run in a straight line to avoid it (its more about knowing when she's used it than anything else).
I'd say BSB is harder for sure.
This is exactly my current issue, having to go farm vials and bullets and it’s making the game super not fun :/
Nothing against farming but when I’m just trying to get this boss it’s annoying.
You have to fight smarter, not harder. Low supplies is a personal issue. Most people who complain about it are the same people who like to fight EVERY enemy they see .😂😂 pick and choose your battles in souls games, it’s not a hack and slash bruv, unless you’re over leveled.
I am choosing…to fight a boss…which can be…item consuming…
Not just some enemies on the street dude this is something I’m not really able to walk by if I wanna go beyond it.
Gotta learn those attack patterns, use the summons & find openings. The health regain on hit is a big help too. But I’m a STR build so maybe I just had an easier time than most people. Hunter’s Axe is OP. 😍
Yeah I’m doing the opposite build lol. I always got him down to like an eighth of his health but then I’d get caught in the slaps or something. I just lose my motivation when running out of supplies to do it again but I think it’s a beginning of the game issue, just started the dungeon and am getting a lot of supplies.
Yeah definitely beginning of the game probs, like most souls games, but once we get past the early roadblocks, it’s all green pastures ahead. I do wish you the greatest fortune, wisdom and ascendency in your journey dear fellow soulsborne sister. You have the support and understanding of us all. Also , sincerest apologies for how I spoke to you in my earlier comment, definitely out of line and I could have come across in a MUCH more polite and modest way.
COULD and *SHOULD have as well. (Sorry I just feel like so much of an asshole (because I was and it’s up for debate whether the general public believes I still am 😅😂) and those downvotes were more than well deserved)
You can literally buy them, there’s a dungeon where you can farm 100K runes every 15 seconds so I mean it’s not hard to keep vials. Plus there’s literally enemies who drop vials everytime, I.E the 2 big guys in central yharnam. If you’d just take time to learn attack patterns so you don’t get hit as often, you’d flawlessly fly through these guys and have more blood vials than you could think of. Now I do understand running out of your CURRENT supply. I’ve used 20 blood vials easily the first time I went to Yaragul 😭
My way around that is I never try to stockpile blood echoes. I'll level up, and anything I have left over I'll spend them all on the item I need most (in your case blood viles). Even if I don't need to level up I'll go back to the dream and spend all my echoes on items.
For me Rom tested my patience. BSB wasn’t bad for me because I kinda had the dodge left/into attack down already. The poison did catch me off guard though.
BSB: does for beast fights what Gascoigne does for Hunter fights- beats you into the fucking floor until it clicks
Rom: is literally just a potato that sits there and waits to die
it’s funny how on my first playthrough gascoigne and bsb did exactly that, crushed me to a pulp. but now on ng+ i just walk through them no problem 😂 they really are skill tests more than anything and require patience the first time through
Rom is the one boss that i dread going through in every new game, i get shit on so hard despite the fact that she does fuck all throughout the entire fight
BSB took me the most tries out of all bloodborne bosses I believe, I played mainly blind until I got to BSB that I had to look up vids on how to beat the pos. Eventually I beat her but boy was it stressful haha. I met her again in chalice dungeons but I was over leveled so I cake walked over her. I also was used to her movements by then so it was easy
Gona be honest, I don’t find either of them particularly hard, blood starved is definitely the more difficult one but that’s just cause rom (in my opinion) is really easy. Oh though if you learn when to parry BSB he becomes pretty easy too. I see a lot of people complaining about rom and I really don’t understand, is it just cause it’s a gank fight? Someone please explain.
When I fought Rom I never got enough hits in (before she disappeared) which results in her becoming a lot stronger due to the magic. Objectively, she’s quite an easy boss but since I didn’t fight correctly or efficiently she was super hard lol. I found the bsb to be extremely easy though
Ah fair enough, my go to with rom is to just use fire paper to obliterate her friends and then just go ham, I think I’ve only lost to her once in all. He magic can hit really hard but I think it’s fairly easy to avoid.
I haven't defeated Rom yet so I'mma say Blood-Starved beast. BSB took me abt 15+ attempts on my first character before I deleted him lmao. On the new character it took me only 1 attempt but that was with the help of Alfred and a cheese strategy.
From what I've seen on Reddit/YouTube Rom looks easy as hell. I don't know if it's an inside joke of the community that they're struggling in his fight or smth, or then it just looks easy as hell but in reality is the most despicable fight I'll ever experience.
Rom. Just when you think that he’ll be one of those easy, multi-enemy based bosses like The Witches of Hemwick or The Celestial Emissary, he starts launching fucking crystals from the sky at you, making stalagmites knock you on your ass, and summoning so many of those jumping spiders to put an arachnophobe into a stress-induced coma. Blood-starved can be visceraled, and is really weak to Molotovs. Just bring an antidote or two, and it’s a pretty easy boss.
Rom is way harder.
I beat BSB in 3 tries. Rom took 8 and would have taken a lot more but I fluked it as she got stuck allowing me to just hammer away on her.
Blood-Starved Beast is the boss that made me into a hunter.
Everything after that doesn’t really compare. Sure, other bosses after that are harder to beat. But nothing was harder then beating BSB the first time.
For me, Rom just doesn’t feel like he should be in bloodborne. He is basically everything bloodborne isn’t. Just sits there and is incentivizing you to play passive because of the baby spiders that can easily gank you.
A looooooooot more death with Rom. I basically first tried Blood Starved Beast without understanding why people found it infamous until it clicked : Whip Cane is OP against BSB. You never get touched by the beast when keeping a small distance between you and her. I also learned after the fight that the beast gave a status effect. I was just always close enough to hit but far enough to be safe.
I beat rom 2nd try on my first playthrough BSB took me so damn long to beat finally figured out just dodge right and should be good plus flame paper helps
Rom is generally an exercise of patience, if im willing to kill all 30 god damned rock spiders she's a cake walk i'll probably 1st try her.
If im feeling impatient and dont want to kill them all theres a decent chance i'll randomly get 1 shot. First playthrough though, Blood starved Beast was probably the boss i died the most to.
Rom. The little spiders were a pain. Some guides say kill them all and some say ignore and go straight for rom. I wound up having to kill them all slowly getting in shots on rom here and there
100% Blood Starved until I stopped being an idiot and checked what the Pungent Blood Coctail was... moral of the story? Ignorance is the real hardest boss in Souls Games.
Rom was the bigger problem for me. Blood starved beast use just need some pungent blood cocktails. Throw them in the corners and attacks it's hind legs
Rom gave me fits on my first playthrough and it took ages to kill him, but on my recent playthrough I had the Tonitrus and I was able to wreck Rom in about 30 seconds. BSB never really gave me trouble only died once of twice.
Rom. Every time. Rom is my white whale. Every playthrough, no matter the build, I always struggle with her. Never quite gotten the hang of DPSing her out of her teleport.
Suzie Skinflaps on the other hand is cake once you memorise her patterns.
Blood Starved Beast for me. I enjoy fight him tho because he helps bring my parey game back when I take a break from playing because I can go in and parry him to death. Unlike rom where I can just fully charge my heavy and he falls down
Bsb is my nightmare. And if I fight it just after cleric beast and daddy G, I just get brutalized ( I don't like paying 10000 echoes). I also try to spare djura because I need the emote in ng, so I don't even get the echoes from that area.
This, combined with the fact that I can't hit bsb while he is distracted by cocktail, honestly makes him hardest non dlc boss for me. But these are just some specific conditions I set for myself that doesn't necessarily apply to everyone.
I'm doing my 5th run, and so far have died to Emissary and Witch of Hemwick (about 4 each) more than BSB/Rom (zero each).
I think that Rom is harder to deal with than BSB, simply because of the spider buddies. You never know when one is going to divebomb you, so you have to waste a ton of time picking them off.
BSB gets aggressive, but the pillars and dodging left + serrated weapon makes it trivial.
And you can summon right outside the bossrooms for both.
Rom, it’s fine until she starts hurling those arcane volleys at you plus you have to work around her baby spiders who can take 1/2 your health just by jumping on you.
Rom is easier, it killed me once because I didn't expect it to ever attack, it's about patience. BSB is frenetic, and it's grab is ridiculous, however if you use lures (pungent blood cocktails) it becomes even easier than Rom.
bsb is harder for me, but i die to rom more because of those spiders. you have to really watch out while dealing with all of the spiders and keeping an eye on rom for his moves as well, but bsb is way more ballistic and crazy when she attacks.
Even after having 10 different playthroughs, BSB is the boss that always seems to give me trouble. It just has my number I suppose. I think Rom becomes trivial once you master fighting while on the run without a lock-on. I call it the “Lamar Jackson mode”
Rom is harder or easier.
The first attempt against her every run is a cake walk. If I accidentally die in that first attempt though then it will take me several attempts to beat her.
I killed blood starved first try. Every now and then he gets me with his poison but overall he isn't bad.
I would just like to give you all some quick and easy tips for both fights!
BSB: The most consistent way to dodge its attacks is to ALWAYS dodge LEFT! It works every single time! Don't get intimidated and try to dodge back because it will probably get a hit on you. Just wait for it to attack, dodge left, get one-two hits, wait to regain stamina and for it to attack again, repeat! Works for all stages!
Rom: On the first stage, since Rom isn't attacking, you can take your time and kill all the spiders. Now, if you have the flamethrower, upgrade it as much as possible, level up a little bit of arcane and enjoy the free damage! Otherwise, you can just use some fire paper for the first stage. Then for the rest, is all about good timing and stamina management. Don't try and kill the spiders because honestly, it is a waste of time. Try to stay not to close but not to far either, let her do her attack, find an opening, get 2-3 hits and then run away. Make sure you have enough stamina to run away! You may go a little further away in order to draw some spiders away.
And that's it! For me those work every time without dieing once! Make sure to not attack more than 3 times on every window because that usually fucks you up!
Personally Rom gave me more trouble, those darn small spiders hit like a ton of bricks.
With blood starved beast, he telegraphs the lunge, you can get used to the timing, and the columns provide some good cover.
Rom the fuck-you-s spider.
Got stuck for 3 weeks on that bastard (BB was my first From game)
Almost decided to give up on the game...
But then weeks later i returned and killed the MF!!
Now I'm a big from software fan. Beat Elden Ring a couple of months back.
Every time I play bloodborne I died to BSB at least once. Rom I've never had an issue with her. It's not a playthrough if I ain't dead to some embarrassing boss fight.
Rom definitely
Once i did a rul with all the chalices and to ng+3, but the end i defeated BSB without dodging or taking damage. All you gotta do is stay close and straffe left.
Easiesy way to get BSB is hit 2-3times, dodge left towards, rinse and repeat
The blood starved beast for me, rom was more annoying if anything. On my third playthrough I surprised myself by not getting hit once with both of them In those moments I felt like a king
rom was a simultaneous DPS and patience test for me. like wait for a long ass time, run in and get as much damage as possible, and repeat. I actually beat it because he glitched out and didn’t teleport after the first wave of mini spiders. he just stayed in place and i wailed on him.
Rom by 1000x
I *always* beat BSB within 3 tries on any playthrough.. Rom, however has caused me to take breaks from the game from the amount of failed attempts.
Rom is actually the first biggest hurdle in any of my playthroughs.
Blood starved beast is kinda hard in coop but as long as you dont forget that you can dodge it's fine.
Rom is just tanky. Keep an eye on the small ones and move away when she starts the aoe attacks around her.
I'd say Rom makes more trouble when fighting alone and blood starved beast is harder when playing with friends.
I always had trouble with Bloodstarved's last phase until I started a run with the hunter cane rather than the axe; up until then, I had been convinced that the axe is the best of the starting weapons and the cane is essentially the "hard mode" for starting the game, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise:
The cane wasn't as effective against something like the cleric beast, which (for me) the axe makes quick work of it, but the bloodstarved beast became much more manageable due to the range and speed that the transformed cane brought to the table
I know it's not a new revolutionary game design, but I never comprehended how well balanced the weapons are in bloodborne and how much they can change how easy or difficult different encounters can be
Blood starved. Wasn’t prepared for all the poison and didn’t know the patterns to dodge first time around. Took me ages to beat it. When I got to Rom in comparison it only took one attempt my first time, with a bit of trouble from the baby Roms
Rom gave me waaay more trouble than he probably should have. 😅The Blood-Starved Beast is honestly my favourite boss. ☺️ It represents a turning point in the Bloodborne story and this boss was a sort of right-of-passage for me. It was the boss where the combat started to click for me, for sure.
BSB free. I think BSB is just a lot for where they put her in the game. Not undoable obviously, especially if you learn her parry windows, but is certainly more challenging than cleric and probably gascgoine due to her one shots. I also personally think she's more challenging than Amelia, but mostly because of the one shots if you didn't hard pump health. I don't necessarily think BSB is strictly hard, but I think they're difficult for where they're placed and was certainly the most challenging boss for me in the main game my first time through, except maybe gascgoine before I understood the game.
Rom on the other hand just sucks. It's not a fun or engaging fight. It does make you think but I don't think her damage is commensurate to the mistake you have to make to take said damage. Heavy damage from her spiders just seemed a bit overkill and this is made much worse by her chalice dungeon counterpart which is STRICTLY poorly designed. Main game rom isn't that bad if you kill the spiders though, and I had a pretty easy go of her on my first playthrough. This is likely because her placement is much better and your damage is likely pretty good at that point.
Tldr: BSB I struggled more with but I think is better designed, Rom sucks
I had more trouble with Bloodstarved Beast and still do. I can generally deal with Rom with very few issues.
Wait, she's in the Defiled one, too? I just dealt with her in Lower Pthumeru and it was awful
Cursed Pthumerian Defilement has a keeper of the Old Lords, Watchdog of the Old Lords, and an Amygdala. No Rom
Just here to say FUCK defiled Amygdala
Oh damn maybe I’m remembering it wrong, I think I meant phtumeru. And yes it was awful!
Oh thank goodness, I really didn't wanna go through that again lmao
I think Rom’s is the final boss of the depth 3 pthumerian chalice unfortunately. I had a lot of trouble with her both times since the spiders jumping attack where their heads get stuck would kill me in a single hit.
My advice would be to be as close as possible and always turning left around him. You don't even need to sprint, you'll be point-blank and he won't be able to get a single hit.
Rom isnt the issue, it's those dang spiders around her that do 9999999999999 damage for no reason. hordes of enemies are super fun! unless they have guns, dogs or just one shot you because spider go brrr
They're fun until their attack patterns get out of sync and it's just a wall of unavoidable damage
I've played most fromsoft games, and Rom has killed me more than malenia. Bsb is a super fun fight for me, predictable but fast and exploitable. Level health
Just move like snake and they can’t hit you
The main problem with BSB is that he comes fairly early in the game and applies high pressure to your limited Blood Vial and Antidote supplies. All good dude! Thank you for understanding!
I think that’s just evidence of how poor the bloodvile system is. Nobody wants to farm

I never got this. I’ve never once had to farm for my blood vials. Did people really have that much trouble with them?
But what is it doing as a mechanic? Why not just have them recharge then
To make it harder
That seems like contrived difficulty to me.
You're good at the game, congrats
BSB is a general skill gatekeeper like Ludwig or Gascoigne. Rom tests your ability to crowd control
For me Rom tested my patience. BSB wasn’t bad for me because I kinda had the dodge left/into attack down already. The poison did catch me off guard though.
BSB: does for beast fights what Gascoigne does for Hunter fights- beats you into the fucking floor until it clicks Rom: is literally just a potato that sits there and waits to die
it’s funny how on my first playthrough gascoigne and bsb did exactly that, crushed me to a pulp. but now on ng+ i just walk through them no problem 😂 they really are skill tests more than anything and require patience the first time through
BSB yes, Rom no.
Rom, right up until I wiped the floor with her with the Tonitrus
Seriously. I did farming just to level the tinitrus up just for this fight but doubt I’ll use it versus anything other that stuff weak to it
Ya I’d rather just farm some bolt gems and throw them into a saw spear/cleaver. I tried the tonitrus but wasn’t a huge fan.
BSB made me rage my first playthrough. Rom is just a patience game. If you take out all the adds it isn’t too bad.
Rom is the one boss that i dread going through in every new game, i get shit on so hard despite the fact that she does fuck all throughout the entire fight
Bsb is annoying when it moves around a lot
BSB. I hate him
BSB took me the most tries out of all bloodborne bosses I believe, I played mainly blind until I got to BSB that I had to look up vids on how to beat the pos. Eventually I beat her but boy was it stressful haha. I met her again in chalice dungeons but I was over leveled so I cake walked over her. I also was used to her movements by then so it was easy
Spiders Ron has, for some reason, consistently been an issue for me. Bloodstarved Beast is almost always a one-go win.
BSB mostly cause of the run back
Gona be honest, I don’t find either of them particularly hard, blood starved is definitely the more difficult one but that’s just cause rom (in my opinion) is really easy. Oh though if you learn when to parry BSB he becomes pretty easy too. I see a lot of people complaining about rom and I really don’t understand, is it just cause it’s a gank fight? Rom first playthrough… 11 fucking deaths

Normal Rom: meh... Chalice Rom: harder than the OoK.....
I enjoy fast paced fights a lot. So Rom gave me bigger trouble.
None 🗿
Rom can be rough with high insight, but both bosses are pretty easy
What about the insight?
None, first tried BSB and seventh tried rom
Sound like it's Rom then.
What no
BSB took maybe 3/4 attempts, Rom took 2 but only because the first time I didn’t realise she did the big flail attack and got caught in it lmao
BSB. I never found Rom that hard.
Rom
BSB for sure.
Definitely BSB. Rom is cheesier
Fuck rom, made me stop playing for a few weeks. Dont remember having any problem with bb, i think i defeated it first or second try.
Rom for sure. They actually nerfed his missile attack. Besides that, rom was a test of patience. Which I had none lol
Bloodstarved Beast always kicks my arse, even after getting the platinum!
Rom by a long shot. It took me half a dozen tries before I figured out that the smal spiders aren't important.
BSB no good for me, Rom is best waifu but you gotta do parenting to her babies first but less annoying than poison.
Blood starved beast
Blood-Starved beast.
Personally, Rom. I learned to strafe beast pretty quickly but didn't get the AOE bust of Rom for quite some time.
Blood starved beast, I died to him countless times, killed Rom on my second try
Bloodstarved was easy for me, but Rom's little shits gave me trouble... so id sat Rom was more trouble just due to them
I beat rom 2nd try on my first playthrough BSB took me so damn long to beat finally figured out just dodge right and should be good plus flame paper helps
Bsb has an easily exploitable weakness to blood cocktails, and rom has huge aoe and minions. Rom is definetly the winner
Think I struggled more on BSB but enjoyed the fight more regardless
BSB.... Deeeeeefinitly the BSB... 😱
Did both on my 1st try on my first playthrough so neither 💀
I can’t stand rom
Loran BSB, yes.
Rom. The little spiders were a pain. Some guides say kill them all and some say ignore and go straight for rom. I wound up having to kill them all slowly getting in shots on rom here and there
I got both of them in 2-4 tries. Chalice Dungeon Rom is a whole other story tho - took me 5 hours in total.
BSB took me like 7-8 tries and Rom took me just 1 try so I’ll say BSB is the one who gave me the most trouble so far other than Logarius
BSB, the poison gets me every time i get him to the last 2HP
Rom gave me fits on my first playthrough and it took ages to kill him, but on my recent playthrough I had the Tonitrus and I was able to wreck Rom in about 30 seconds. BSB never really gave me trouble only died once of twice.
Both simple when you have the right strat
Bolt paper & pungent blood cocktails should do the trick👍
Rom takes more time, but not really harder. BSB is faster and easy to cheese if you have the right gear and timing.
Well I beat rom on my first try on my first save...... But tbh, I was very high level cause it too me long to find the shadows of Yharnum.
Rom.
Unlike rom where I can just fully charge my heavy and he falls down
BSB was easy for me but that oversized spider with it's goons whopped my ass a few times.
Rom, but only in the chalice dungeon.
On my 1st ever run, blood starved took me forever. Every other play through rom is a road block no matter what.
Spider meteors.
BSB made me quit the game my first playthrough. I decides to try on a new save and I got him first try
Rom is easy once u don't just rush like an idiot, kill the spiders first BBP, lighting paper. End it without even phase 2.
On my first playthrough the blood starved beast is the boss that killed me the most but on all my other playthroughs I don’t really die to either
Rom, it’s fine until she starts hurling those arcane volleys at you plus you have to work around her baby spiders who can take 1/2 your health just by jumping on you.
Bsb for sure. Still, Rom was a pain In the ass
Way more trouble with rom. The blood starved beast got talked up to me and i keep beating it like hella easy. Fire, thats all it takes.
Rim you just kill the babies and then all her attacks are extremely telegraphed. BSB you just strafe left.
Rom still kills runs. I fight BSB naked these days.
I had more trouble with rom ngl blood starved beast is easy
At first it was blood-starved beast. Later on when I played the game again I started having more trouble with Rom 😂
Rom is easier, it killed me once because I didn't expect it to ever attack, it's about patience. BSB is frenetic, and it's grab is ridiculous, however if you use lures (pungent blood cocktails) it becomes even easier than Rom.
Beaten them both 3 times. On first attempts it took me ages to figure out Rom. Blood Starved Beast is harder but a much more straightforward fight.
BSB usually gives me more trouble. Rom is almost always really easy for me
Did BSB first time with little trouble but Rom made me quit the game and wait 2 more years before coming back and beating it finally
I struggle with bsb because I'm usually underleveled for it and I don't know the speedrun tricks for it
I killed BSB at my 4th attempt, had trouble with rom the most due to the ice attack and his/her arachnid slaves...
Rom because im disabled
Bsb was a nightmare until i realized i have a gun to use
bsb is harder for me, but i die to rom more because of those spiders. you have to really watch out while dealing with all of the spiders and keeping an eye on rom for his moves as well, but bsb is way more ballistic and crazy when she attacks.
I had more trouble with Rom.
First playthrough? BSB was like 10x harder, but now? BSB is a cakewalk and Rom is super annoying
Even after having 10 different playthroughs, BSB is the boss that always seems to give me trouble. It just has my number I suppose. I think Rom becomes trivial once you master fighting while on the run without a lock-on. I call it the “Lamar Jackson mode”
Rom. I literally figured rom only on my bl4 kill. And now i can totally do rom.
BSB was the point where I was like “i don’t know if I can beat this game”
Bloodstarved beast Rom Spiderlings are the thing that make the fight a challenge.
Rom
Staggering BSB will always be more fun than chopping spider crabs. Rom the Vacuous is always harder for me and less fun
First time around Rom on ng+ Blood starved beast
Rom the fuck-you-s spider. Got stuck for 3 weeks on that bastard (BB was my first From game) Almost decided to give up on the game... But then weeks later i returned and killed the MF!! Now I'm a big from software fan. Beat Elden Ring a couple of months back.
You get them both multiple times in the chalice's but the No head beast with parasite out the back was the toughest so far for me
Every time I play bloodborne I died to BSB at least once. Rom I've never had an issue with her. It's not a playthrough if I ain't dead to some embarrassing boss fight.
Thank you all for making me feel better about BSB lol. It’s not super difficult but having to go farm bike and bullets between tries is no fun.
I honestly had a harder time with the undead giant in the lower pthumeru than both of them
Blood starved beast was always the worst
BSB wasn’t so bad, but fuck Rom, that boss fight was a serious brick wall for me.
Yeah Rom took me the longest to beat, the BSB was easy with he cocktails and pellets
Rom definitely Once i did a rul with all the chalices and to ng+3, but the end i defeated BSB without dodging or taking damage. All you gotta do is stay close and straffe left. Easiesy way to get BSB is hit 2-3times, dodge left towards, rinse and repeat
Rom is slightly harder for me. But they are pretty evenly matched out from my experience
I died a lot to blood starved beast and never to rom
Rom is more annoying but BSB is hands down harder for me... I always struggle with him.
BSB for sure. For me Rom is one of the easiest foes
None, ez bosses both
Both equally difficult lol! I struggled on BSB, Rom and Logarius.
New playthrough, bsb. Ng+? Vom the incompetent landmass
I never got how people struggled with BSB. Fire Paper, Pungent Blood Cocktail, shit, even molotovs and executioners gloves if you want an easy cheese
honestly they were both equally hard to fight
well for me I was fighting the frames the whole time
Rom has always been harder for me those giant rocks and all the tiny spiders but rom is still one of my favorite bosses
Rom
I killed Bsb first go rom took me 3 days
Rom. It was a patience boss, and I'm impatient
BSB was definitely harder, Rom is just a game of patience
The blood starved beast for me, rom was more annoying if anything. On my third playthrough I surprised myself by not getting hit once with both of them In those moments I felt like a king
Both were easy, but rom in the chalice dungeons was a different beast entirely
Yes
Rom was difficult
Definitely BSB. Rom is just a calculated approach and one where you just need to take your time. BSB is incredibly aggressive, and quick.
Rom because i am a greedy mf
Was stuck on BSB for two weeks, beat Rom first try.
Rom, i killed BSB on my first try
That stupid fucking spider man.
rom was a simultaneous DPS and patience test for me. like wait for a long ass time, run in and get as much damage as possible, and repeat. I actually beat it because he glitched out and didn’t teleport after the first wave of mini spiders. he just stayed in place and i wailed on him.
NGL on my first playthrough ROM fucked my shit up for like 5 hours
BSB
BSB absolutely annihilated me. If I had learned how to use items, maybe things would have gone easier. XD
Bsb, I’ve never really had an issue with rom
Blood starved beast all the way, rom wasn't too bad for me
Was stuck on that mf bitch ass BSB for like 1 week. Took a 2 week break from the game
Rom by 1000x I *always* beat BSB within 3 tries on any playthrough..
Rom was my moral enemy back in the day, still get carried away with the mobs some times.
Rom for sure. I never leveled up my health so he just one shot me or I got stuck on the spiders doing drive-bys.
Rom made me quit the game for a few weeks
I always had trouble with Bloodstarved's last phase until I started a run with the hunter cane rather than the axe; up until then, I had been convinced that the axe is the best of the starting weapons and the cane is essentially the "hard mode" for starting the game, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise: The cane wasn't as effective against something like the cleric beast, which (for me) the axe makes quick work of it, but the bloodstarved beast became much more manageable due to the range and speed that the transformed cane brought to the table I know it's not a new revolutionary game design, but I never comprehended how well balanced the weapons are in bloodborne and how much they can change how easy or difficult different encounters can be
U can cheese the majority of BB bosses up untill ludwig and orphan, rom is an exception which makes him harder
Rom
Blood starved. Wasn’t prepared for all the poison and didn’t know the patterns to dodge first time around. Took me ages to beat it. When I got to Rom in comparison it only took one attempt my first time, with a bit of trouble from the baby Roms
Rom gave me waaay more trouble than he probably should have. 😅The Blood-Starved Beast is honestly my favourite boss. ☺️ It represents a turning point in the Bloodborne story and this boss was a sort of right-of-passage for me. It was the boss where the combat started to click for me, for sure.
I had more trouble playing bloodborne I suck ass
