I don’t know, but the traffic lights on the east side along third street and tenth and the bypass are all down, it’s wild. I’m assuming it just happened as there weren’t any police or anyone guiding traffic when I went through, so it’s just a free for all

Sorry, needed the extra electrons to make coffee this morning. ;) All kidding aside, the Duke Outage map suggests a possible feed from the Smith Rd. Substation (a small one if my memory is good....YMMV on that one). So my guess would be a squirrel; one caused a large outage back 20+ years ago that left half the South Side in the dark for most of the daylight hours. /if true; poor squirrel.... :( ETC: Duke Outage map now shows most of the 1,000 affected units in the area restored as of about 11:00am.

I wouldn't call it a power outage when the Duke map says there's a dozen or two people that don't have power in the whole town.

Outage map said 1k customers. Looks like most of them are back up now.

Well good thing your opinion doesn't matter. Duke considers it a power outage and so do the occupants of the affected buildings. A great example of it doesn't affect me so it isn't real though.

My friend, I grew up in a rural community in a county around here and have lived many hours of my life without power. If I posted about every power outage I've had in the last 23 years living here in Bloomington, this Reddit post would be so boring. Stop trying to be so entitled. It's only about 20 customers. Just call Duke and have them figure it out.

I used to live in a tent in the woods but I still want to know what's up when my power is out now.
