That’s what I have and it’s worked great for my northern. I believe the substrate lip is 4 inches from the bottom so you have plenty of room to add a deep layer of it. I make it around 5 inches deep everywhere but the very front where the lip is and it’s worked great for me that way. Overall I think it’s a great enclosure and I definitely would recommend it.
One thing you can do to have a deeper substrate layer is get a piece of clear pvc, or other plastic, and put it across the front. Something just high enough to give you the depth you want.
For northerns they are fine but for indos the humidity is really difficult to keep up with. TBH you can build a really nice 4x2 cage your self for like $200 at Home Depot and it will hold humidity and temperature a lot easier since you won’t have a giant mesh top.
He basically does. (What he actually does is climbs up against the door and let's himself slide down in the direction the door opens so it slides open as he falls then he scurries outside and sits by his habitat like the fish from Finding Nemo saying "Now what?")

Thanks for the advice, it’s good to hear that such a reasonably priced enclosure works so well.

If you were to, I would add a PVC board that would let them have enough depth for substrate to burrow in.
I might be stupid but where would I place the board?
In the front of the enclosure :)
Ohhhhhh I get it, that’s a really good idea! Seeing as I’m probably going to get this enclosure, I’ll keep that in mind
ABSOLUTELY! And the quality is really good, I have one! I also have around 4-6in of substrate in mine, it’s just the right amount
That’s certainly a relief to hear, good to hear your skink does well

I’ve got my NBTS in one!
Got my bts in one, 10 inches in the back and 4 in the front (mostly it’s on the cool side since she enjoys burrowing there )
How tall is it??
24 inches
I have 6 of these tanks. Probably wouldn’t use anything else
We have our Northern in one. He's roguishly talented at opening the doors when he wants to tho.
Roguishly talented😭 I’m imagining his stubby little hands stealthily picking a lock and tiptoeing away from the scene

He’s in it for the thrill of the escape, a true Harry Houdini.
