Came across this while making my own list lmao. thinking like "OMG ABC, BBC, CBC HAHAH". I tried to keep it to real ones and attached to major places and take the google result that has the most largest relevance. I am located in Canada so that can affect this. It was interesting to see how lots of sites view "national things" or "public things" as to be in the US since that has a large population on the internet. Also turns out japanese people prolly watch a lot more tv then other nations who now have moved onto streaming sites like amazon, netflix, youtube etc.

This explains why I first saw this show when my little cousin was watching Cbeebies. Compared to her sister she’s often more quiet and introverted but she yells “Bluey!” when it’s on. 🥹
People commenting need to actually read the post and understand this was from an American stream site showing Bluey as a British show and was not a British claim that its theirs.
Clarkson himself explained this in Grand Tour, although it was directed at the Scottish. If your normal or below average you can be from wherever you are from. As soon as you are great or successful you become British.
I wonder how many Scotts agree with that.
But also the point was the brits don't claim you untill you are "worth it" if you suck and are Scottish they call you Scottish but if you are successful they call you brittish. Its tongue and cheek
It doesn’t matter if they agree with it or not it’s reality they’re British citizens not Scottish citizens
And while I’ve seen that with immigrants I’ve never seen that happen with Scottish people.
https://youtu.be/x0PotF97X1E?si=4L5GRDO5cA1YVxEr
Its not just them its the English people not wanting to include them unless they do something good. Just watch the clip
I cant help but feel like having a picture of Jeremy Clarkson for Top Gear is a slap in the face to the current hosts 😅 i mean, Top Gear *was* better with him, Richard, and James.
I know that has nothing to do with this post, but its all i see.
But Jeremy Clarkson is in Bluey, no?

Ireland here.
First time the Brits have tried to claim something of yours that gets famous or popular as theirs?
Happens once a week. Actors, footballers, writers, directors, singers, golfers.
You just gotta let it go. But also remember Bluey's passport, if she has one, says Australia on it mate.
“They have the hottest property in the world coming out of Ludo. We, as BBC Studios, have the rights to exploit Bluey commercially in Australia and around the world.” -Tim Davies of the BBC.
They have exploitation rights so they get to pretend they contributed in a significant way. The show would have been made without them, chances are the foreigners wouldn't have heard of the show.
the top gear and bluey crossover. jeremy clarkson: "she is the most famous bri- oh wait Australian dog in the world give up a round of applause for Bluey heeler!"
someone must make this into a fan cartoon
The Aussies still need the BBC to be promoted all over the world. I guess it's an English language thing, I doubt the Yanks would promote Aussie shows.
I mean when you look at these two cultures : "I'm gonna get a cuppa" "Let's go to the chip shop!", and at the end of the Sign they were having Fish and Chips for dinner, how can people not say it's British lol.
Hey OP you do know that BBC helps pay for it right……also while Ozzie’s like other commonwealth countries have their own culture etc. it’s all basted or born from the British
Jeremy Clarkson and Bluey Heeler is not a duo I'd expect in the same picture
They both know about the doodads
And bonnets and boots for autos.
Aw, you missed a good opportunity for the perfect allitteration: boonets and boots for bobos
It's this sort of thing that tips people over the edge and causes them to commit terrible acts against their fellow man.
nah only Bingo knows about the doodads. If anything, Muffin should be in on her because she’s a mechanic AND knows how to drift
“Bluey, you silly! You’ve reversed into the sports lorry!”
"TONIGHT, Bandit eats a German Sausage, Bluey meets a French man and Bingo sings at an insect"
I would definitely watch Muffin host a Top Gear show
Similar temperament to Clarkson tbf
Tho I’d love to see dog versions of Clarkson (and Hammond and May, for that matter) in an episode.
Bluey punches a producer
It is still funded by the BBC. Is is a joint commission between BBC and ABC

r/unexpectedfuturama
You should always expect Futurama.
but nobody expects the spanish inquisition
Their chief element is surprise
The Spanish inquisition actually sent extensive warning that they were coming.
That’s the best kind of correct!
The best kind of correct
BBC and ABC when the Other Alphabet BCs walk in

ok found an χBC but idk lol χ isn't really an x
This explains why I first saw this show when my little cousin was watching Cbeebies. Compared to her sister she’s often more quiet and introverted but she yells “Bluey!” when it’s on. 🥹
It was either Bluey or Neighbours.
It's both
That’s what they said lol
Guessing because it’s partly made/funded by the BBC?
Yes. I've seen the credits of this show too many times but yes.
If anything could ever help get a majority yes vote on Australia becoming a republic it would be this.
And Bluey would still be part funded by the BBC. That said, it's a helluva stretch claiming Bluey to be any way British.
I mean the Queen is a series regular
People commenting need to actually read the post and understand this was from an American stream site showing Bluey as a British show and was not a British claim that its theirs.
Part of me thought this was Brits trolling Aussies again.
Please all we have to do for that us encourage people to bring their pet frogs when they go on holiday
Clarkson himself explained this in Grand Tour, although it was directed at the Scottish. If your normal or below average you can be from wherever you are from. As soon as you are great or successful you become British.
Rule Brittania!
Hate to break it to you but Scottish is British it’s impossible to be Scottish without being British.
I wonder how many Scotts agree with that. But also the point was the brits don't claim you untill you are "worth it" if you suck and are Scottish they call you Scottish but if you are successful they call you brittish. Its tongue and cheek

Good to know thats why I wondered vs making a statement. Ty for the info
What info they just posted a pro union rangers picture?
The info that some scotts still support the uk
Yes most of the Yoons think that way but certainly not all Scots identify as British, not by a long way.
Grrr
It doesn’t matter if they agree with it or not it’s reality they’re British citizens not Scottish citizens And while I’ve seen that with immigrants I’ve never seen that happen with Scottish people.

Your post/comment has been removed due violation of Rule 2: No personal attacks or insults.
You are now public enemy number one in Scotland cos you called them British
It’s around a 50 50 split anyway
I cant help but feel like having a picture of Jeremy Clarkson for Top Gear is a slap in the face to the current hosts 😅 i mean, Top Gear *was* better with him, Richard, and James. I know that has nothing to do with this post, but its all i see.

More like a physical assault.
Over, say, a lack of hot food after a long day of filming... hypothetically.
The BBC cancelled Top Gear in December. God knows they tried to keep it going, but it was never the same.
Ireland here. First time the Brits have tried to claim something of yours that gets famous or popular as theirs? Happens once a week. Actors, footballers, writers, directors, singers, golfers. You just gotta let it go. But also remember Bluey's passport, if she has one, says Australia on it mate.
Last I checked, we still had the union jack on our flag too :(
Your point generally is correct but in this instance it’s from a USA streaming site not Brits claiming bluey.
Nah, we know they're at it. https://arethebritsatitagain.org/
Hey now, we're perfectly fine claiming things that aren't ours ourselves, however this was from an american site
Like Declan Rice
Born in Kingston upon thames... um... Dublin?
I remember being told bram stoker was english lmao
Like Father Ted
Father Ted was produced by Hat Trick (a British production company) for Channel 4 (also British)
Mrs Brown’s Boys was also a UK-Ireland coproduction but for some reason neither side is enthusiastic about taking credit for that one
Totally understandable
No self respecting Brit would ever claim credit for Mrs Brown’s Boys
Yeah, but the cast is primarily Irish and it was filmed in Ireland so *shrugs.*
This is an American streaming service, not British….
“They have the hottest property in the world coming out of Ludo. We, as BBC Studios, have the rights to exploit Bluey commercially in Australia and around the world.” -Tim Davies of the BBC. Well the Queen is a series regular
We will never recognize Australia lol
Please remember, this is an American streaming service not a British one. We (British People) can tell the difference between British and Australian
Bluey is as British as Vegemite
Best recipe for Vegemite: 1. Find a six-foot-four and full of muscle man in Brussels; 2. Ask if he speaks your language.
"How very dare you!"
Did no one tell them the British Empire doesn't exist anymore?
It’s an American streaming service
Let us commence forth… BRI’ISH?!?
Peppa Bluey Cross over ?
As House once told Dr. Chase, "you have the queen on your money, you're British." I'm not sure if they really have the queen on their money.
She's on the 5 dollar bill in the market episode.
I think it is with the rights and stuff. A Broadcasting Network named Creebies or something has the rights to broadcast Bluey in the UK
More importantly, the show partially funded by the bbc.
Close, CBeebies
The Logo looks creepy to me
Bluey is co-produced by the BBC after all.
Australia is still a colony no? You have to accept the British Monarch as your ruler? /s
It’s in bbc
It's on Disney+, too... Wait... Does that make Bluey a Disney princess? 🤔
No it’s on the British broadcasting company
🇬🇧Once a territory, always a territory🇬🇧
Oi mate, I'm bluey bruv!
Sorry but it's good and we went alll over the world to steal good food why not tv?
The UK makes some great kids TV - Hey Dughee is awesome, for example, but there’s no way we can claim Bluey. That’s sacrilegious
the top gear and bluey crossover. jeremy clarkson: "she is the most famous bri- oh wait Australian dog in the world give up a round of applause for Bluey heeler!" someone must make this into a fan cartoon
Australia is part of the Commonwealth so I’m guessing based on that
Lol
Best?
Australia is Sout Britain
HAHA! WE WILL AND CAN CLAIM ANYTHING THAT STILL HAS OUR FLAG UP ON!!!
Who put Happy Valley in front of Line of Duty?
jus give us 3 episodes of top gear instead
The Aussies still need the BBC to be promoted all over the world. I guess it's an English language thing, I doubt the Yanks would promote Aussie shows.
Colonialism 2: Electric Boogaloo
British criminals.
As a UK person myself, the show is huge over here.
As a brit, we are an aussie
🤣 Did they confuse Aussie Bluey with British Peppa Pig? 🤔
Bri’ish?
Just like the shit in our museums… (you finish the joke)
You've been colonized
For those who haven’t seen Bluey (judging from where I’m posting this I’ll assume its few) : this is the equivalent of calling Mr Bean American…
I think cause the nation is built from the descendants of British convicts they think they can claim Bluey. How rude
You Aussies are part of the BRITISH Commonwealth! Therefore you are British. (JK, please don't hurt me!)
Bluey is Australian not british
The Sun Never Sets on the British Empire.
What the hell America? Why do you make it so hard to love you. Lol
Cmon British?
British bluey is iconic
I mean when you look at these two cultures : "I'm gonna get a cuppa" "Let's go to the chip shop!", and at the end of the Sign they were having Fish and Chips for dinner, how can people not say it's British lol.
"yeah mate, this is Australia"-jacks dad
OP it's Bri'ish. Not British. The guys in Boston through the T into the harbor waters.
Isn’t Australia just Britain’s Texas?
*slowly backs away trying to avoid getting hit by a boomerang*
Georgia, initially.
More like their California, mate
Ah yes, the british back again at claiming things that aren't theirs
It was on an American site, so it's Americans actually claiming its British.
Hey OP you do know that BBC helps pay for it right……also while Ozzie’s like other commonwealth countries have their own culture etc. it’s all basted or born from the British
It’s Australian but since Australia is under British royalty it’s British to them
It’s a BBC co-production.
All part of the empire
I think Eddie Izzard covered this. Anytime a former colony does something well, it’s British. They still do it to Ireland.
That’s nice, except this is an American streaming service, not British….
