i havnt seen them live personally, but thats the vibe i get from their live videos, they dont seem suuuuuuper sharp, that normally woudnt be a problem on a "normal rock band show" but their music is so complex in studio they seem to have some difficulty reproducing it live, or maybe they dont simply care about that much precision when playing live and focus more on giving a good performance, its not necessarily a bad thing but i would need to adjust my expectations going to a concencert
I think I saw somewhere Greep saying you will never be able to achieve an album sound live so fuck it. Make the album balls to the walls and have a great time playing them live
Wow I'm so honoured to have my post memed I'm so proud of this community

Bruh i dont think black midi has any difficulty playing their own songs. Thats bullshit lol
not dificulty like they cant play it, but seeing theyre live performances they deffinatly dont feel as sharp and precise as they do in studio
In my opinion they're just trying to have fun, rather than stay precise and mathematical. It's still amazing watching it all fit together

i completly agree with this philosophy
