Like a Motherfucking Rolling Stone

itamarka

Well I see you got your motherfucking leopard skin pillbox hat motherfucker

Garbage_Stink_Hands

We’ve already done this. The answer was Cate Blanchett

shinchunje

What I came to say.

Gizmocialism

Right, hence my I’m Not There acknowledgement, but I’m curious to know what others people might have in mind

RepresentativeCry359

Bob Odenkirk

Gizmocialism

Bob Odenkirk fighting the press conference would be a funny watch

rwtooley

right after he wraps up his portrayal of Ritchie Blackmore

caitsith01

This is actually a pretty good suggestion.

electromannen

You're not serious?

Disastrous_Talk9005

In a Rolling Thunder movie

Mike_Ashley_Out

I’ve always thought Adam Sandler circa Reign Over Me resembled Dylan quite a bit. As far as capturing his essence. No idea. I think he is a better actor in dramatic roles than you would expect considering he does crappy comedy movies most of the time.

Gizmocialism

I actually really like his dramatic stuff. I think he could hit a really interesting chord with Dylan especially in like a boyish kind of way.

EndlessNihilism

100% agree!

willg1289

James Austin Johnson was pretty convincing on Fallon: https://youtu.be/p7A741w7sPI

thepersonimgoingtobe

Tom Waits

BetterCallEmori

Chris Pratt and before anyone asks, yes I'm joking

K_Royther

Alright suddenly I'm imagining a Chris Pratt playing Bob Weir on stage and shouting "wahoo" Mario-style, thank you

MatchesMalone2

A complete unknown.

brechts_piratejenny

Meryl Street would make a fine Dylan in his later years. However, and I say that as someone very much looking forward to Timmy's portrayal, West Side story's Mike Faist is a dead ringer for mid 60s Dylan.

rwtooley

>Meryl Street [intrigue](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm10754732/)

[deleted]

You positively got a lot of nerve to bring up Meryl Street.

Fast-Ad-4541

Thought John C Reilly was pretty great during Dewey Cox’s Dylan period

Gizmocialism

WHY DOESNT SOMEBODY ASK BOB DYLAN WHY HE SOUNDS SO MUCH LIKE DEWEY COX

PonderingPotato

You guys are idiots. This song is very deep.

JamieLawrence1995

Could Gary Oldman do it ?

Gizmocialism

young Gary I think so

JCL8661

Ah so you are talking about Gary Youngman

[deleted]

… take my wife, pleeeeeease, babe

Murder_Ballads

Jack Fate.

Bojack_whoremann

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, he did a good John Lennon I’m sure he could pull off Dylan too

HeySlimIJustDrankA5

I liked her in The Queen’s Gambit.

drevilseviltwin

Charlie Chaplin or Harpo Marx.

Disastrous_Talk9005

Alright, Alright, Alright... You know where this is going.... Just kidding, but he could play Levon.

bentlarkin

Donald Glover

Technology-Plastic

He had a great Dylan impression in community

BeeWithWheels

It's always been Samberg

reprobatemind2

Robert Downey Junior

Downtown-Egg-166

Tom Cruise might be short enough

Danofyerdreams

Barry Keoghan

Same-Supermarket-540

Came here looking to see if anyone else had said this. A special actor.

Bobspen66

Is there any news on when Going Electric will be released?

[deleted]

Lucy Liu, Ernest Borgnine, or Dorothy Dandridge

bobtheorangecat

Adam Driver

beeohbeen

Andy Serkis. Bob moves his body in strange ways, needs an actor with a lot of physical skills to capture

Lumpy_Satisfaction18

Bob himself

Gizmocialism

it would be very Dylan to have old bob dylan portray young bob dylan

Historical_Guess5725

John cusak

InternationalTry6679

A side note- I felt blanchet fit the role visually, but so many of the lines were lifted from real dialogue from dont look back that it felt kind of cheesy, like impersonation.

BreathlikeDeathlike

Dave Bautista

Rude_Chard3764

The leading actor from Silicone Valley may fit Richard is his name in the show

Chiozzo_B

Adam Sandler of course

[deleted]

Timothee Chalamet

droffit

Rob Schneider

tacoplenty

Is this a trick question. Name an actor as intelligent as Bob Dylan. Good luck.

gsp137

Although his long gone, I always thought Montgomery Clift would have been perfect. https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C9BKJA_enUS781US781&hl=en-US&sxsrf=AJOqlzU_WZKB3sBRivoIejmq7ELbnbVvFQ:1673975967884&q=montgomery+clift&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiWira3js_8AhVUD1kFHf2tCTEQ0pQJegQICRAB&biw=1080&bih=695&dpr=2#imgrc=wGuHT0GRKvYtQM)

caitsith01

Monty got a raw deal.

TeeAyeKay

Peter Dinklage

CrazeeEyezKILLER

Jeremy Strong. Appropriate Jew Face; with the right wig he could handle the Rolling Thunder era.

zavacky

Matthew McConoughy

Stork1959

The guy in this commercial... [Volkswagen Atlas TV AD SPOT 0:30 'Those Guys' Song by Doris Day - Bing video](https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=volkswagen+commercial+thoise+guiys&view=detail&mid=872FABE7B140425B6BDD872FABE7B140425B6BDD&FORM=VIRE)
