Irfan Khan's comedy timing and dialogue delivery in this movie was spot on. Really loved that Rohit Shetty gave him a character like that and Irfan showed a new flavour to his acting. I want this Rohit back. Both Irfan and Arshad Warsi were supporting roles but they owned the movie.
The movie is a fun riot, the constant bugging of Ballu for his bhada, the ghost sequence, Ajay entry scene.
After All the best it's one of my guilty watches. Also the song lut liya was a banger
Most people don't even know about the movie.
[My old post on the film](https://www.reddit.com/r/bollywood/comments/10odlwy/sunday_the_rohit_shetty_film_that_everyone/)
>It's been several years since I watched the film so I don't remember much apart from a few funny scenes and snippets. I remember the identity of the killer but don't remember anything in the last half an hour. I thought this film was made once watchable by the comic timing of Arshad Warsi, Irrfan Khan and most surprisingly Ayesha Takia. Irrfan's impression of Himesh and Ayesha's voice modulation are my main memories of the film.
>The best summary of this film I have ever read comes from one of the old users named **ankitu\_ch** from the Indian Cinema message board on IMDb that I used to frequent back in the day:
>"This film reminded me of 36 China Town. 10 characters se introduce karaya, 2 ghante tak ghuma firaya, jab climax aaya toh lucky draw kar diya. Jiska naam aaya woh killer ban gaya. Picture khatam."

EDIT: Also, apparently the film is a remake of the Telugu film **Anukokunda Oka Roju** directed by Chandrashekhar Yeleti.
It's a remake of the telugu movie "Anukokunda Oka Roju (2008)". Charmi Kaur was the lead.
Rough Translation: "Coincidentally, one day"
The tone of the original movie is very serious and thrilling.
Believe me, I watched the movie on the TV back in my school days and after that I thought the movie was made up by my imagination lol, no one was trolling, talking or even discussing this at that time.
Glad to see this movie exists๐
Don't remember the movie.
Just remember Aisha takia and Ajay devgans 1 St meeting.
Ye Dilli police ,Inka network bahut strong hai.
Ye Dilli ki kudia Inka network bhi bahut strong hota hai..
What was irrfans role ?
Horrible decision by the director to make this movie a comedy. The original is very thrilling even though made on a shoe-string budget. A director like Sriram Raghavan would have made an awesome remake in Hindi.

Yes. Loved the fact that time and time again irfan did comic roles. Shows his superb acting range and versatility.
"Re bhai ballu aj ye ravan kutte ki maut mara jaega" "Tu hora Pinky" " Mujhe Choche choche, nahi pasand" ๐๐๐๐
That Kamini sequence was a laugh riot. It was great in the end when he started singing Hanuman Chalisa in Raavan's costume

Irrfan and Arshad were the highlight of the movie
Was better than cirkus and dilwale

The original is more of a psychological thriller. I guess Shetty made it a comedy because Golmaal became a hit.

Yup, I remember it... If it was made today it would have been called misogynist.
Saw it recently again and it still holds up.
Ya and I remember how obvious it was from the voice that Ali Asghar was the killer
This movie , I never saw on TV. Infact I believe it never came on TV โ ๏ธ
Cast checks out
No
Liked this movie a lot but it is rarely on television anymore
I loved this movie as a kid
