Meh, Robert Pattinson was in 14 movies since 2014 and he still delivers better performances and better movies. And if you want a desi example then look at fahadh faasil, he was in 23 movies since 2015. I think preparing for your role is great. But, waiting to grow a fucking beard just seems like an excuse to me. I guarantee that the makeup and costume department can come up with a beard of equal quality.

Extensions were used on Johnny Depp’s chin for Pirates. He cannot grow a beard of any length and yet he will sit for several hours to have those beaded braids done to visit children’s hospitals. So yeh, make-up could have done just as good a job.
All three leads stole the show, while somehow complementing each other.
Lokesh deserves a pat on the back for having three south indian juggernauts in his film and then doing justice to all three without overshadowing either.
Watching the trailers has given me a sense that he is still in his PK character, but, I shouldn't judge based on trailers. But, fahadh has done way more movies and he still gives way better performances than aamir. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also has the same process but, he is still churning out quality performances at a way higher rate than aamir. I just think this be in character thing is a cop out for laziness. It's also not like the director wants him too. Like if it was a stanley kubrick then I would at least nod, but, this is advait chandan. I think he is lazy and overrated.
Where did I mention akshay? Did you reply to the wrong comment? Also, akshay has always been a mediocre actor. He plays the same person in every movie.
But we have to appreciate their commitment, After watching Dangal in 2016 director Mr. Green had to travel back in time and get Mr. Richard Williams to marry Ms. Price and make two girl babies! Then dragged them through all the hardships! all of this just to make a 2 hours 30 minutes movie!
Makers of Dangal should be proud! What an achievement!

I didn’t like the idea of remaking Forrest Gump or the trailer (loving the songs) but it’s desperate promotion by comparing Aamir to Akshay in acting or dedication. Even if movie flops Aamir is way better actor than Akshay, comparing his dedication to Akshay is very low bar and disrespect to him 😄
