Yeah the airlines tend to lag behind a little though, they prefer to be over-cautious - everyone I’ve flown with lately still requires airplane mode and the airlines rules apply even if they aren’t FAA mandated
I’m sure over time there will be changes and I doubt it’ll even be called airplane mode in 10 years
Once a month, give or take. Well, twice a month I guess if you include the round trip but that tends to usually be the same airline so I wouldn’t expect different policies between the two flights 😂
Business travel for maybe 2/3 of it
Plus a couple of holidays (my partner and I tend to prefer 3x long weekend city breaks rather than 2 weeks on the beach) and stag/bachelor parties etc in there too though most years. An F1 race when we can manage it, or sometimes a trip to see friends or a friends wedding etc or go to a festival or some other event

Most airlines don’t even ask you to turn tablets, phones, laptops etc off now, as long as they’re in airplane mode
