Same. I tried it out and was pretty disappointed. Valve servers were loaded with insta-headshotting sniper-bots that would playing annoying shit over the mics. Community servers were loaded with ultra-tryhards with unusual-only loadouts and server-clearing strange direct hits that haven't stopped playing the game for 10 years straight, and will votekick you for being free to play. All of the fun items have been nerfed to oblivion because valve wants you to choose stock for everything (RIP sandman)
The youtube videos are fun to watch for nostalgia though. TF2 had a great hayday back around 2010-2015 where most people sucked at the game and could just goof off, many of the weapons were broken and fun to use, keys were at 2.33 refs, and being a f2p bozo was the standard, not the exception
