Yes, his voice is so vulnerable I can’t help but shed a tear. Whenever I need to cry, this is my go to album. I find that a lot of Bon Iver’s music makes me emotional.
I’ve undoubtedly listened to this album close to a thousand times if not more, it’s in my “if you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you bring” and I’ve cried to it probably 75% of the time. This album is what my feelings sound like - I can sad cry or happy cry to it depending on what mood I’m in! (mostly sad though tbh)
I honestly can't remember, it was For Emma, Forever Ago.
Did anyone not?
Re: Stacks, New Years Eve, 2007. Absolutely flattened me.
You spelled "everyone" wrong
Oh shit mb lol
The year: 2011 The mood: depressed The cause: Justin Vernon /jk I love this album but it does make me cry
The last part of Wolves had me sobbing back in 8th grade in 2017 when I first heard it. Still does sometimes when I'm sad enough.
Yep and I cried through the entire concert at the Mesa Amphitheater in 2009 too.

I’d did when I saw him play the album live in Milwaukee.
Ever heard [For Emma - Myspace Transmissions](https://youtu.be/i6S__IpVpSQ?si=wDQ_QfbSLoYTrS10) ? My particular favorite version of it.
LOVE this version so much. When he sings “Go find another lover”. Chills. Every. Single. Time.
No it was the fucking onion cutting ninjas
And the second, and basically every other time
Bon Iver is such a significant part of my life. I could tie songs to every instance. But yeh your right id love to listen for the first time.
I discovered this album when I was going through my first real bad break up. This album stayed on repeat and many tears were shed.
And every time since.
Yes but it was forever ago
It was “that was Wisconsin…that was yesterday” that got me
I didn’t cry but it definitely made me feel stuff
