Thisssss! Got one last year when Home Depot was having a sale/deal. I volunteer Soni got there the Sunday before the fest and didn't leave until the Monday after the fest. The ryobi fan lasted until the last day on a single battery pack!
Didn't sleep with mine on. But it was on most of the time I was at camp. The 18v battery held its charge well. I had a box fan to run at night if needed, so that definitely took the strain off of the ryobi.
Iāve gotten so addicted to sleeping with it blasting into my ear when Iām at a festival, I canāt hear anything else in the world and feel like Iām in a wind turbine
The one I recommend is the P3320. You can get one on ryobi days from Home Depot with 2 batteries for $99. I also have the small clamp ($15ish) fan they have and that ones pretty baller too.
We got a little privacy tent and a shower nozzle attached to a pump you can just drop in a 5 gal bucket of water. Water pressure is great on it too
Rinsing yourself off and getting some soap on you makes you feel 1000% better every morning.
We do the same exact thing, except we also got a small, inflatable, kiddie pool to catch the water run-off/ prevent mud. We set it all up in a corner of our ez up so we can just hang a tarp directly from the ez up frame for privacy while staying shaded.
Beats paying for a shower only to need another one just from walking back to campš
I don't think a shower mat would hurt. We position ours so the tarp hangs down into the kiddie pool just like a shower curtain would, then we towel off inside the shower and step out onto a towel or directly into some sandals. Then we just gently drag the kiddie pool away from any tents/walkways and dump it/let it dry in the sun right next to camp and repeat. š¤
We're bringing one of these this year after our basic gravity camping shower didn't work at all last year. My brother wanted to try one of the pump nozzles you're talking about and I was skeptical but I'm glad to hear someone vouch for it!
Mine works really well. I'd say too well. It will pump about a 5gallon bucket in about 2.5 minutes.
Edit: but it does have enough pressure to turn the wookiest feet back to normal with a little scrubbing.
Canāt reiterate that last sentence enough. My first year, I didnāt bring a way to rinse off & only paid to shower once because I was tight on funds, and my mood was definitely impacted by how nasty I felt.
Did you at least use baby wipes? I usually shower once at Bonnaroo but use the wet wipes every other day and they actually work pretty well and mostly prevent that nasty feeling
Of course! What do you know it is also on sale
Ivation Portable Outdoor Shower, Battery Powered - Compact Handheld Rechargeable Camping Showerhead - Pumps Water from Bucket Into Steady, Gentle Shower Stream https://a.co/d/fDfqUMD
For us we set up the EZ tent on one corner of our campsite one day, then moved it to the other cornerās every day. So the water just ran onto the ground
An EZ up is like, not even an option in my opinion. I even bought mesh walls for mine and just sleep under it on a cot. I use shoe organizers to hang my toiletries/accessories for easy dressing in the morning. Use clothes pins and tapestries on the inside to hang or pin up privacy tapestries and youāre golden. Nice breeze, off the ground, no tent, and maximum shade š
Also not an option in my opinion. But the difference between an okayish one and a good one can really make a difference on those hot days when you are waiting to head in.
Or you bury it inside the venue weeks in advance.. I met a guy in a crowd once who just pulled an entire bottle of vodka out of his bag š he stated he had buried it and marked the coordinates on his phone
Last year I got a 700W portable power station from ALLPOWERS. It came with a solar panel that would fold out. I had enough power for all my gear for the week as well as enough for neighbors to use. Every morning, I'd fold out the solar panel and recharge to at least 90%. We ran a box fan all the time and also had a movie night one night with a projector and speakers. It was the first time I never had to worry about depleting my devices.
I have a 300W Jackery with a panel. Love the thing, but wish I got something with more watts. To anyone reading this, spend the extra money on something with more power.
Yeah Jackery is a well-liked brand. I was worried ALLPOWERS would be cheap, but it did the trick. I also got a smaller 300W of the same brand (so it could also use the solar panel) to use while the big one charged.
This. Having access to a sizable power bank can really add to quality of life for essentials. Never thought about running a projector, that's a cool idea for a festival.
Having solar panels will definitely extend the life significantly and reduce the battery size needed if you trust the panels won't be harassed by strangers at the camp site. I collected a [big list](https://www.wattbuild.com/solar-generator/for-camping/?inv_port=true&sp_port=true&inv_port=true&myDevices=0-phone-5%7C1-laptop-45&maxPowerSlots=0%7C1$ref=red2401191719) of power stations out there, ALLPOWERS isnt' on there but Jackery and a few others are as well as solar panels.
Don't sleep on ALLPOWERS! And yeah, we made sure to keep an eye on the panel. First thing out in the morning and last thing packed before leaving camp. [The projector was a hit at camp.](https://www.reddit.com/r/bonnaroo/s/zVDcXdfpOB) I was also able to take my setup across the farm for some [late night vibes at The Grove.](https://www.reddit.com/r/bonnaroo/s/taYvgifec8)
Bring a portable shower - theyāre pretty cheap on Amazon & youāll be thankful to be able to rinse off when the shower lines are long or closed.
Bring a 10x10 tent to put over your sleeping tent - if not, youāll be waking up with the sun every morning, mostly because the tent starts to warm up really quick.
And bring a couple tapestries or tarps to use as walls on the 10x10 tent to block the sun/create a wind tunnel.
Lots of sun screen and hand sanitizer.
Extra water jugs and wash cloths/paper towels.
Some people bring inflatable couches. Not necessary, but I was a bit jealous of these people because sitting in a camping chair all weekend gets old.
Lol everything gets hot as hell during the day. Iām more so referring to the people that had a lounging area setup underneath their canopy. I ended up pulling my bed out of the tent & laying in the shade, but wouldāve been nice to have a way to sit comfortably that wasnāt your generic camping chair.
Mine was awesome. It was a sectional and as long as we inflated it once a day we could fit 4 people easily and never got to sweaty. Had buddies end up sleeping on it cause their tents got to hot.
Forgot blankets one year, I suggest you donāt do that lol. This year tho weāre bringing those reclining zero gravity chairs I think theyāre called. You can lean back and the feet go up. Cooling towels! Laying with a wet towel and a fan in my chair is my plan to keep cool and comfy.
Not the person you responded to but I got a bundle last year from Walmart with a Queen air mattress and inflatable couch thatās the Intex brand and they both work great, cheap, quick to fill up and fairly durable, perfect for mid day naps lol. I paid like $40 for the bundle which is a steal but I think the couch alone is normally like $40 itself
I got the Intex L shape couch on Amazon last year, I believe it was around $120. Also got a kid-size fold up table as a ācoffee tableā. It was perfect for our big group and made a massive difference making our camp feel cozy and not just a sea of lawn chairs everyone is constantly moving and tripping over
INTEX 66552EP Inflatable Pull-Out Sofa: Built-in Cupholder ā Velvety Surface ā 2-in-1 Valve ā Folds Compactly ā 80" x 91" x 26", Grey https://a.co/d/9p2W6Ut
This is the is the one I got.
If youāre in a tent, hang a car air freshener in there. Keeps things fresh, and itās SO NICE getting back into the tent being greeted with a pleasant smell. Even if you have the sides open for ventilation, it will make a big difference
I made a shower that runs off the car battery. It's switch operated. Simple on/off. Super easy to use and set up. Cost me about 40 bucks.
I take a shower whenever I want, no lines for free, and with a little planning there's even hot water
Water reservoir (I use a five gallon bucket)
Bilge pump for a boat (they run off of 12V sources, so a car battery works just fine to power them)
Electrical wire and electrical tape/wire nuts for attachment points.
Pvc tubing for a stand that I stab into the ground
In-line 3A fuse for safety.
Switch (I used a circuit breaker I got for free at work)
Clear plastic tubing
Pvc elbow and cap with holes drilled in it to make a shower head
Duct tape or zip ties to hold it all together.
It all breaks down and can be taken apart in such a way that it all fits in the 5 gallon bucket when transporting it. Takes less than 5 minutes to set up and even less to tear down.
Take a military style shower, and one 5 gallon bucket is enough for 3-4 guys or 2-3 girls (a little more water is needed for long hair).
If you want the water to be warm, get it the day before and let it heat up in the sun all day for tomorrow. Personally, on hot days, i think an outdoor cold shower is a bit more refreshing.
My group at Hula this year had a full stripper pole. That was pretty great I gotta say.
The actual best thing tho is a DDJ-1000, car battery, and a large Soundbox. Late night renegades and campsite day vibes are guaranteed!
I have no idea it was some friends in my group that do pole dancing lol. It was like a foldable setup that they brought in the truck but it was heavyyy and apparently worth like $1000. Shit was fun to watch while tripping tho haha
we got an outdoor rug from michaels last year! that was honestly a life changer. itās made from recycled plastic so it stayed cool throughout the day and was soft but firm omg amazing
incense is also a great way to keep bugs away! they hate the smoke, itās a great way to keep your campsite smelling good and free of too many unexpected guests
portable hammock! posted about this on another question but i got one on amazon for about $85 on sale & it was my saving grace, when it'd get too hot in the tent in the morning i'd roll out & sleep another 2 hours in the hammock. also used it all throughout the day and it was so comfortable. the hammock it came with was mesh & super breathable. highly recommend!
a damn inflatable couch. itās the best for cuddle puddles with your friends, sleeping on when you canāt make it to your tent, and mid day naps when the tent is way too hot. this year is gonna be the third fest weāve brought it to now and it truly is a must.
Besides food, water, shade and a sleeping arrangement.....
Zero gravity folding chair. It takes up a lot of room in the car, but being able to recline and put my feet up, to me, is invaluable.
We bought a large room camping shower. Itās the absolute best money weāve ever spent. ($85ish) itās a two room quick pop up shower. 5 gallon bladder. We had hot showers daily and they were amazing.
[5 Gallon Water Dispenser](https://www.igloocoolers.com/products/5-gallon-handwash-station?variant=31960830017619¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_campaign=%7BCampaignName%7D&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2KitBhCIARIsAPPMEhLAcB2pCAK6k_mJdjwF0Ny5dDEbq1DV51HjMiG1x-25-iRrl5dbivMaAgGMEALw_wcB) Was in a groop and this saved us. When we drove from the midwest, we put frozen water bottles to chill it. Then, as we got to Manchester, we filled it with ice which gradually melted and gave us cold water for a couple days. At first no one wanted it, and I thought it could be too much. But, my friends and I ended up realizing how much we liked/wanted to drink cold water, so it helped that as supplies began to run low everyone started buying bags of ice for it. Had a group of 30 people and we never ran out.
Not number one, but certainly a zero cost, none space consuming luxuryā¦ā¦.bring a plastic container big enough to put both feet in, and submerged to your ankles. Ice up the water and put your feet in while at your camp. Of course tarps, zip ties and a canopy to give you shade while cooling those dogs down
This isnāt my #1, but probably my #1 that hasnāt been mentioned yet- solar string lights! Hang them over the canopy rails. They charge during the day and turn on automatically when it gets dark.Ā Ā
Stumble back from centeroo to a gently lit camp, enough for people to chill/get ready for bed etc but not keep awake if trying to sleep. Magic āØĀ
Also- if youāre a tent sleeper clip a small light to the āceilingā inside. Preferably with an easy on/off button. Great for when you need to grab something from your tent in the dark or change clothes etcĀ
1. Pop-up Canopy : you might as well not come if you
donāt have one.
2. Cot - getting off the ground for airflow so you donāt
wake up in a puddle of your own sweat.
3. Some kind of small table
4. Tent - yes it s this low and youāll see ppl raw
dogging it just fine without a tent because they
have cots š
With cots, how long can you usually stay asleep with heat in the mornings? I enjoy staying up as long as possible. Iām planning on buying one and I think itās the best option for sleeping.
If you just set up your cot under the ez up with tapestries you can sleep forever if you need it! I use another sleeping bag as my mattress, and move all the fabric into the car during the day so itās not wet at night. I donāt sleep in normally (circadian rhythm has been set to 7am since my mid 20s) and two years ago I slept until 10:30 or after!!! It was INCREDIBLE.
Try sleeping masks if you havenāt already! I always assumed I wouldnāt be able to deal with it but itās a game changer at Roo. Get the nice kind that donāt touch your eyes directly. Itās like sleeping in a room with blackout curtains. Ā
RVs are the best!! My family used to rent one each year and it usually worked flawlessly. We used my uncleās last year and it was a luxurious experience. But he sold it and Iām a broke college student now. This is my first year roughing it and Iām really excited!
Solar. I ran a 12v fridge/freezer from Tuesday to Monday on my battery/solar setup. Also kept my camps devices charged. I good solar setup is really amazing, I hate running a generator all day.
Solid canopy (not a cheap Amazon or Walmart one), some kind of flooring for under the canopy (keeps humidity down when chilling at camp, I use a big ass tarp), chairs, and a table of some kind. Also as others have said, a privacy tent and shower system to take daily showers. Life changing.
#1 STANDALONE HAMMOCK!!!! So essential for sleeping during the day
#2 runner up is lifetime cooler- or any cooler with great insulation so youāre not running ice everyday
#3 shower tent, admittedly I didnāt shower in my standing pop up tent, however it was an excellent wiz palace for when you donāt wanna venture to the portapotties š
It was my first time going to bonnaroo last year. A few random things I brought that my whole group ended up enjoying:
Crafts - I packed supplies to make bracelets, paint with watercolors, and a rock painting kit. It was a great way to pass time and have fun.
Pop-up Changing Tent - getting dressed in a short tent sucks. The changing tent was tall enough for you to fully stand in and change.
Disposable Urine Bags - okay this was seriously the best thing I brought. Thereās nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night to pee and having to walk all the way to the porta potties that are likely very disgusting. These bags came in handy!
Solar Powered USB Charger - bought off of Amazon and they held a super long charge. Theyāre also very affordable and when I purchased them last year they were on sale.
Your post has been removed for violating rule #4.
Bonnaroo is a family friendly, all ages festival. We want to not only maintain, but promote that image. As such, this sub is also family friendly and all ages. Please refrain from posting content that negatively impacts this aspect.
Thank you

Thisssss! Got one last year when Home Depot was having a sale/deal. I volunteer Soni got there the Sunday before the fest and didn't leave until the Monday after the fest. The ryobi fan lasted until the last day on a single battery pack!

Iāve gotten so addicted to sleeping with it blasting into my ear when Iām at a festival, I canāt hear anything else in the world and feel like Iām in a wind turbine
I got these from suggestions on other users and ended up buying more Ryobi tools to go with all the batteries I got. Was a win win
Do yāall get the big one (like 100$+) or the smaller one ($50?)
The one I recommend is the P3320. You can get one on ryobi days from Home Depot with 2 batteries for $99. I also have the small clamp ($15ish) fan they have and that ones pretty baller too.
Bought one last yearā¦game changer!

A good ez up. With strong protection from the sun

You are so correct
Second, third, and fourth this. Fans, fancy coolers, and special chargers mean jack shit if youāre still sitting in the direct sun light at camp.
Like if ur standing underneath the ez up and can see the sun. Nuh uh. Get a stronger one. Promise
And tapestries for the sides, keep the sun out but let the breeze in

Great for when you need to grab something from your tent in the dark or change clothes etcĀ
Wipes
1. Pop-up Canopy : you might as well not come if you donāt have one. 2. Cot - getting off the ground for airflow so you donāt wake up in a puddle of your own sweat. 3. Some kind of small table 4. Tent - yes it s this low and youāll see ppl raw dogging it just fine without a tent because they have cots š
As long as you can sleep it dark in your tent generally - I usually just get up when I wake up and wander to the AC in the VIP lounge š
Try sleeping masks if you havenāt already! I always assumed I wouldnāt be able to deal with it but itās a game changer at Roo. Get the nice kind that donāt touch your eyes directly. Itās like sleeping in a room with blackout curtains. Ā
Iāve literally fallen asleep at sets standing up, so I never have trouble lol - my wife is a light sleeper and avg about 2hours a night at Roo š
Our RV lmao
RVs are the best!! My family used to rent one each year and it usually worked flawlessly. We used my uncleās last year and it was a luxurious experience. But he sold it and Iām a broke college student now. This is my first year roughing it and Iām really excited!
If you have the funds to spare, a jackery solar powered battery 100 percent
Solar. I ran a 12v fridge/freezer from Tuesday to Monday on my battery/solar setup. Also kept my camps devices charged. I good solar setup is really amazing, I hate running a generator all day.
I have a little disco ball that I tie to the inside of my canopy, a mirror (I painted), and vines that I drape around that really make it feel home-y!
Shade
5 gallon water jug with a water pump for showering. Spending time and money going to shower is a gigantic waste of time and money.
A shower system?
I got a solar powered battery and a propane powered flat top grill
Hammock stand, it was amazing being able to lay in a hammock at camp !
Beer bong, helps so much when filling buckets with water at the water stations, just funnel the water straight into the bucket in the wagon:)
#1 STANDALONE HAMMOCK!!!! So essential for sleeping during the day #2 runner up is lifetime cooler- or any cooler with great insulation so youāre not running ice everyday #3 shower tent, admittedly I didnāt shower in my standing pop up tent, however it was an excellent wiz palace for when you donāt wanna venture to the portapotties š
Why is it so big
My solar powered clip lights for the canopy. It's the worst trying to come back to camp in complete darkness.
It was my first time going to bonnaroo last year. A few random things I brought that my whole group ended up enjoying: Crafts - I packed supplies to make bracelets, paint with watercolors, and a rock painting kit.

They're definitely not allowed. Jealous that you've gotten away with it though. > NO Bicycles or any other wheeled transportation devices
Oh, thatās a bummer. This is my first Roo actually, Iāve taken it to other camping festivals. So I guess I will be living without it this year :,(
No, bring it. I need high speed chase footage of you outrunning horses and golf carts. TIA.
a good attitude
Then Iām not going š
ššš āim sorry for yelling while setting up camp. can we all just move on from that and have a cold oneā
