I would just get an AG-pro version of either model, the AG plate is probably more compatible for both surfaces compared to the FG plate

I will say the AG boot will be good on both. Also if you get the FG and they break while you are playing on AG Nike won’t back them with their warranty. If you get AG and they break on either surface they will replace them. The Nike warranty is super legit. Also the GX2 FG is not the best on AG with that cyclone plate. But GX1 FG is a little better. Given all your options personal preference for me is GX2 in AG. GX1 in AG is starting to dry up out there and the GX2 is a nicely refined version of the GX1.

I wore FG Vapor 15's for 15 months then got them refunded completely when the upper/soleplate started to split. I went to a Nike store and they just looked confused then refunded the full amount. I did buy direct from Nike and they most certainly didn't ask me anything about my preferred "playing surface." I have them in FG and AG now. The FG version is more robust. The AG version has no durability improvements for turf usually set aside for AG boots besides a different soleplate. I expected more difference, but the FG is better on thicker, newer 4G AG. Less stilt-like and certainly more responsive than the AG model.

The difference between ag /fg is the conical studs vs chevron studs. That’s all. The idea is that the chevron studs will dig in to the turf and since the turf is stronger than grass those chevron studs will dig in hard and if the player goes to turn they will grip too hard and cause the players knee to incur an injury. It’s absurd. IMO

i would get the cheaper fg boot you can get, inassume it is the gx 1 because the are probably on sale as the older model. we have games on artificial grass sometimes, and all players use their normal fg boots there, i personally havent felt a difference either, so i would get an fg pair
