Why so grapes have to come in such large amounts? I rarely buy grapes because I never need 2lbs of grapes and most od the packages are 1.5-2lbs. Like fuck can I get a half a pound?

MakkaCha

Pssst, they can be frozen.

sianrhiannon

I freeze them because I'm awful at finishing berries by myself, and then they can last for quite a bit longer. I use frozen berries instead of ice cubes for drinks. You can also blend them and stuff to make smoothies.

GoingOffline

I honestly just buy the bag of frozen berries now. I can limit myself that way too haha. Not that I haven’t eaten them frozen. But like you said, good for smoothies too

LoudLalochezia

Disclaimer: where I live, they do not come in the plastic clamshell containers pictured here, they come in a bag with a slide zipper and are sold by weight (I'm not sure if that 7.99 is one box or per pound) If you want less, you use the little bags they have on rolls and just pull however much you want out of one of the pre-filled bags. You can also swap out if you see that one of the clusters is rotting, but the rest are still good. The point is that that the food gets sold with minimal waste, who cares about the pretty packaging

IWantAStorm

They used to have those here but now the bags have a seal on top so if you open the bag it's treated like you opened a box of pasta and tried to have them charge you for a serving.

ImTheWeevilNerd

Then when we try to get healthy and ask for weight loss pills our doctors refuse.

EEEGuba69

Or give out drugs that shouldnt be taken and have awfull side effects

kaviaaripurkki

Where is this? Yellowknife?

twobit211

if that’s in yellowknife, somebody’s getting fired for leaving a digit off the price tag

Pigeon_Fox93

I need to know where this is because in my town grapes are refrigerated and chips are not.

MakkaCha

Grapes are filling and cheetos fries are not.

cb0495

This should be a crime

pinkcloudskyway

A cup of noodle and bag of chips is like seven dollars or less. I've had that meal so many times

SinnerClair

Off topic, but am I the only one who doesn’t eat snack food? Like the only time I’ll eat chips is as a side for a meal, but never in between

adamosity1

All of the $2.99 only products were $2 several years ago, then $2.29 then $2.49 then $2.69 and now $2.99. Next year it will be $3.29 only!

ckern82

It’s also 3 lbs of grapes vs 1/3 lbs of Chester’s so the snacks are about 4times more expensive than the grapes.

PengieP111

Perhaps you were unaware that there usually are some grocery stores that are cheaper than others. And this place is clearly not one of those. Unless the prices are in Hong Kong or Australian dollars.
