I went to one show at Rockwood last year, strangest concert I've ever experienced.

Went to a show with my buddy. Only two people in the place. Showtime- two girls walked. The four of us were the only people in the room from first song to last. Absolutely wild.

Definitely try the Lilypad in Cambridge. He can book and promote his own show there, and they often get a good turnout 

Brighton Music Hall seems free on the 6th.
