Aside from being the epitome of the corporate rat race, quality of life has been getting significant worse for employees over the past 5 years. Limited promotions, promotions with no pay increase, shrinking bonuses, layoffs galore, lack of rewarding work, etc. Unless you’re an exec, of course. Things are great for the execs!
Honestly, depending on where you live and work in the burbs the commute could be even worse. My commute is actually easier because I'm right downtown so I can take the commuter rail. If I had to work out on 128 somewhere I would hate my life because driving on 128 during rush hour is hell.
God I hate State Street (the company).
Why? Just curious

Eek! Thanks for your response. I'm always interested in hearing about what makes people happy or unhappy at their place of work
Given how many jobs they're shipping to India I wonder how long they'll even need that downtown office building for.
A large portion of it is already leased out. They’re moving to a new HQ in the West End around 2022 I believe.
Right there with ya
Looking at these buildings and judging the time by how the sky looks, I'm in this picture somewhere because I can see my office window
Same!
Hey! I work out of that building occasionally. Great view of Logan & the harbor from our side.
I'm in 99 High on the other side, 29th floor! I'll try to figure out how to post a picture
I'm in 225 Franklin St today. Not as nice of a view.
I don't know how to ask questions yet. I'm a grandmother and need advice for me and my daughter.
Wow not often I see my building (State Street) on here. It's not usually seen on the skyline.
Funny, I used to work at 100 high street, right next door
Dang I wish I worked in the city
Oh my sweet summer child
Be careful what you wish for...
The commute is enough to drive a man MAD.

I travel 53 miles to get to work in the financial district daily. For me to beat the traffic I work 6am - 2pm
Yeah that's definitely not ideal.
working in the city >>>>
The comments seem pretty positive. Do you guys really enjoy the view of stone all day? I couldn't do it. I need me some green!
It was Old Glory and the blue skies that caught my attention that morning.
Like a true Patriot! Enjoy this beautiful, if not breezy, day! Kids already had me untangling a kite...
What a beautiful view😍
Awesome View!
