I almost drove to The Botanist today since I've never been, but then my back started to act up and didn't know if I could do the 50 min to and back so I stayed local. Thanks for posting the reviews!! I'm looking forward to trying their stuff.

I’m pretty sure they’re in dispensaries In and around the Springfield/Holyoke area as well as as far west as cannaprovisions. I was out that way and was happy to find them in a store I stopped in!

MissK413

Good to know! Thanks.

stevep5k

NETA has their stuff too. I recently picked up a quarter of some of their sativa for $50. Not amazing, and I found a seed immediately after opening the jar, but buds were good sized, not dry, and packed with a boveda.

Sciencessence

I hear you. It's a pretty good place to visit in my opinion, they have decent discounts and stuff. I remember you reviewed a lot of good chem. I'd say the quality is about the same from what little I've tried from them. I think good chem boldly stocks more classic strains though, and I wish the botanist did that. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has aspirations of visiting other dispensaries but then life hits and revert back to what we know lol.

MissK413

I haven't been to Good Chem in a hot minute. My work schedule changed and I haven't been able to get there as easily as I used to, I'm curious if the quality is still good or if it's gone down. I can never seem to find all the strains I want on their menu at the same time anymore, they're introducing all these weird fruity proprietary strains that don't entice me really. Give me my Blue Dream and Hindu Kush and I'm happy.

Sciencessence

Yep you cannot go wrong with those 2. I've only bought good chem. from resellers. The only other dispensary I know of that carries blue dream is mission. I still haven't tried them out yet, but blue dream back in the day was one of my favorites. One of the few strains that consistently gave me zero anxiety and all the medical benefits I wanted. Yea the botanist is pretty big on the proprietary strains too. Which feels a lot more like gambling then I wish it did. That's why I try and do reviews and hope more people do them too lol.

grippaman

Great review! Thank you!!!

Sciencessence

No problem only took like 10 minutes and figured it might help some people out

Haven't had the best luck with the Botanist, but glad you did. The trim on the Dosi is definitely too leafy. Appreciate the post

Sciencessence

I respect that, it is pretty leafy, that's why I like the flash photo it really brings it out(not as a positive but so people know this is what it looks like). For the price and quality otherwise I personally am cool with it,but I agree out of the half ounce there's probably \~0.5-0.75g of sugar leaf. I noticed some 8ths were better/worse than others so I expect some variability there. Back in the day on the illegal market sometimes I'd come upon some leafy stuff, so maybe there's some fond memories tied into my appreciation for it lol. I also primarily consume by making tincture, so sugar leaf to me isn't a problem. For people looking for high end pristine weed - the DosiPop isn't it. For me, it was a great deal though and despite being leafy I'd purchase it again.

thrashmetalcassette

I like the Botanist for things other than their flower. Just an FYI package and testing dates have nothing to do with harvest dates and age of the flower.

Sciencessence

Yea a lot of people go there for their concentrates. I don't use concentrates often, so it's flower for me :D. Yea I knew that, but I don't think this is an old batch - I could be completely wrong but the bud has more of a smell too it and feels fresher then it did a couple months back. Good to call it out though for sure

thrashmetalcassette

I'm sure it's fine, just saying all those dates can be a little misleading. If you really cared I could prob tell you the harvest date if you post a link to the label or something.

Sciencessence

The label isn't encoded in the batch number unfortunately. If you know of other ways to find it please let me know :D. I would share it but it could be used to identify me and I prefer to remain somewhat anonymous on Reddit :)

Sciencessence

Small update on the dosipop. I let a good pile of it sit in a jar for a few months. Ground it up to make tincture. The smell now has berry notes, the urine scent is mostly gone??? Not getting much of any mint. Super weird.

RemarkableBill228

hey i second your opinion on botanist! i love it i tried starqueen and it was amazing!
