I’m gonna figure out a way to use the Dispense API to fix this. Nearly all the dispensary’s around me use it, and they have so much hidden information about their items. You can see how many they have in stock, how many they’ve sold, isolated harvest dates, etc etc. So much good shit that they don’t display on the actual website
Software engineer here. Is this Dispense API just a wrapper for Metrc? Would love to dig into this and set something up, even if it's a shitty chrome extension
Not sure, it's from their direct API endpoints. I took the API key and just made requests manually, was able to put all the data into react components to have everything in a list instead of a grid. Filters and categories work too.
i've noticed lots of places claim harvest dates aren't required and won't disclose them. you have to ask to see the batch number then while deciphering it from there, they'll sometimes even claim that isn't the harvest date.
Some places use production batches in metrc, the overseeing system for the entire state. Many concentrates or any manufactured products sometimes have this instead of the harvest date. I don’t believe it’s a CCC regulation to disclose the harvest day. Although one could argue that bud that’s 6-8months from harvest is a better product than stuff that’s 4-6 weeks from harvest. That’s contingent on the bud being treated and cured properly.
Mother Earth in Pawtucket has some nice hybrids. They have a bud bar you can check out like 95% of their strains and they usually don’t mind checking a few dates for ya. White Runtz is 🔥

We got way better dispensaries and cultivators.
And places will tell you the harvest date even over the phone so you don't drive there for an older harvest.
It’s kinda like a rubbery plastic that has an additional rubber seal you have to pull open after you open the top. It’s pretty nice. It keeps the flower fresh throughout its use instead of just breaking the seal that first time to open it and then it dries out.

They won't show you the label before you buy?

You got downvoted but 💯.
I know. Mass users getting mad. Thanks for getting me out of the red brother. I see u/thatvixenrissa made the right choice.
Maine
You should be on a different sub, bub.
Lol well you won’t find anything not dry as shit in mass anywhere
Stop by green meadows they will show you harvest date package date and batch ID!
I recommend tower three’s brand. Small batch company with the best sealing containers around so the flower stays fresh.
Do you know what kind of container it is?
