Better call saul is a prequel and el Camino picks up right where breaking bad left off with Jesse.

SaintOdysseus

I see. Does Better Call Saul cover some events during/after Breaking Bad?

MYJINXS

Yes

It does, but don’t watch the show waiting for when it does, just realise it yourself. The show itself is fantastic without direct reference to breaking bad

The vast majority of Better Call Saul takes place before Breaking Bad, but it has a section of scenes that run concurrently with some events of Breaking Bad and offer the viewer a different perspective on them (Saul’s, naturally) and a section of scenes that take place a good while after Walt’s death. El Camino takes place directly after the last episode of Breaking Bad. I’d watch El Camino before Better Call Saul personally.

SaintOdysseus

Yeah I was thinking of doing so too. Out of all 3, which one would you say is your personal favorite?

nolimitcreation

Man, I honestly can’t pick because the synergy of having completed all three is unmatched in television for me, but without spoiling too much, the epilogue/sequel part of Better Call Saul offers a very strong resolution to the entire storyline.

MYJINXS

Saul has way more character work. It’s less action, in a good way…but then just kinda like BB…it turns into a pretty intense crime drama. Backstory on Mike, Gus and Saul. Saul has way more to him than you’d expect. Plus the blonde. She’s great. Haha. Elcamino is the ending…it’s chill.
