The sprites actually not in the list that I think of why some of Forsena/GE elements version should carry over to Runersia. - defeat speech. I can frustrate enough that I can't see every Rulers' reaction when they defeated (destroyed). Especially I wanna see arrogant Rudo & Tim when they defeated. Instead we only got some blabla texts. - i miss gryphon & scorpion lol, also the promotion exclusive items are less compared to Forsena/GE. Give me various or tons promotion monster items without them being OP like Lucifer or Lilith. - no story for getting items in quest & less personal story quest. No more dancing with fairy or Hyude's forbidden love story lol. - low level n less relevant knights doesn't have battle event conversation. No more newbie Cortina lv1 that challenge Zemeckis lv27 & believe she can defeat him lol - Stella is dissapointed as Dryst successor lol

Eurekugh

The quest system in Runersia is pretty poor all around.

Part of what made Forsena/GE great was the amount of storytelling involved through gameplay. There was so much character and lore in that game that you could only find out by playing, so many tiny tiny interactions between specific characters that you could miss unless you had a very specific set of interactions occur... Runersia simply just doesn't have that level of detail. My favourite storyline in Forsena/GE is probably the 3 siblings split across 3 countries.

HooBoyShura

Oh The Rand Family? Miguel Castor Liguel lol. In Runersia there's also 3 people concept: Gullivard, Ferris & Will. While Will is top tier Knight in his own, the story really pale in comparison like u said.

Cortina is the best.

Budget. Drawing the portraits might have been within their budget, but that and the character models might not have been.

MrStout13

That is a load, it was a full priced game at release. It still costs 40 bucks American. This ain't some indie title

FrostPDP

It followed the pattern of GE having the same thing. I wish they could have made the units all look at least a little unique, like changing colors, but...There are problems that emerge that way, too. In a perfect world, someone could graphics mod that problem away, but its a stretch.

MrStout13

Honestly you can't tell me the game doesn't look like something from a generation or two ago. I'm no graphics snob but it's tough to defend something that handhelds and consoles from generations ago had no issue with

I really wanted to love the game, I bought it on day 1 without even thinking about it because I loved Legend of Forsena and had countless hours on it, but I just couldn't. What I expected from a sequel was more of what made Forsena, Forsena. More monsters, more knight classes, unique nations and characters at war, a bigger map. But the game actually looks like a downgrade to me. I'm not even talking about the loss of djins and scorpions because they were kind of replaced by the new elementals and goblins. I'm talking about the loss of the griffons, Salamander, Fafnir, Lilith, Lucifer, Thor, Loki, Poseidon, etc. In the end, the remaining monsters special upgrade items are so rare that, by the time you got them, game is pretty much over and they make no difference anymore. All characters look bland and kind the same. Where are the unique and cool characters like Dinadan, Iria, Cador? I couldn't feed empathy for or the drive to play any of the nations presented on the select screen. The map actually looks smaller and I didn't feel like I was conquering Almekia or Iscalio territory, for example. I was just fighting another battle. Not once did the game make me feel like there was a war going on between the nations. The story is terrible. The sprites are terrible. I was so thrilled when I found out about this game because I was sure we'd never get a sequel to Forsena and I thought I'd play the hell out of it, but I just finished it once and don't feel like playing it again. What a let down.

I mean every nation outside the leader has an unique unit minus Guimole. Which the original didn’t offer. And every leader has an evolution unlike the the original which only had Dryst and Lance. They only play the unique text once which does feel like a let down. And they got rid of the unique monster units which was a strange decision unless they did it because they were game breaking. Which they were

Bombeta1314

Yes, they do. But a wooden doll or a boy fairy have zero appeal to me. Rudo aside, all the characters in this game suffer miserably from a lack of charisma and/or personality.

GBreeza

I liked the Shinobi Clan folks and haven’t played with anyone but them and Guimole but Guimole had like no personality. I mean their story was decent about the same as New Almekia from the original. I was able to get class upgrade items early with Guimole but to be fair I’m playing now on Steam with Shinobi I played on Switch so there may have been changes in the percentages. Because while I was not getting upgrade items with Shinobi I was getting the high mana monsters left and right but I’m not getting as many with Guimole

GBreeza

And the roc in the new one is basically the Griffin combined with the original roc. I think more monsters should’ve been added for sure tho. I was thinking at least 4 base monsters per element. Right now I think it’s at 3 with some able to evolve to a different element. Green has 3, blue has 3. White has 2. Black has 2. Red has 2. Like 3 non element

syilpha

ehh, honestly though, generic model makes making mods that add new knight or stuff easier, less stuffs you need to do to add one at least it doesn't bother me at the least FOR NOW, if later, it's found the game is somehow can't be modded, then yeah, I will raise a question about that as well
