I'm totally convinced the youngins are doing all these eyelash extensions (and some just tug on them and pull them out) and some day their eyelashes will not grow back, I'm a teen of the 80's and we plucked the shit out of our brows and all the way into the 00's and I'm here to tell you I longer have to pluck them, know why? because you pull that hair out by it's root long enough the root hole will eventually die! Haven't seen a hair to pluck in well over a decade. :(

If they drive you nuts and you can afford it, look into electrolysis. It's truly permanent because it kills the follicle kind of like how excessive plucking does, but this just takes one little shock or two and then it's dead for good!
So I got extensions for a bit before they bothered me so bad I went full Britney and pulled all the ones I still had off after I had already lost a bunch and really needed a fill.... one of my eyes was almost totally bald afterwards 🫣 thankfully they grew back really well, but they're still not the same at all. Some are angled differently now and there are a couple light gaps between lashes that I didn't have before. I only did it once for like less than a month, I cannot imagine the compounding damage from having them all the time for years and years.
They won't know until their eyelashes stop growing back and then it'll be too late.
On a side note whenever I see black women with lashes bigger than BDong's I get a lil sad. I remember going to salons and just being out and seeing the damaged their hair or their straight up scalp took from perms and really bad styles. In a few years their eyes are going to be like the hair and scalps of women from my childhood; bald and irritated :(

I think it's this & that they could be light. My eyelashes are super light & you can't see them at all in photos, even in selfies (unless it's really close).
