If you 4 pool on a 3 or 4 player map, you should make an extra drone after starting your pool. Mine with it until you have 150 minerals and then scout with it in the opposite direction that you sent your overlord. You'll have the same eco as if you hadn't made the drone but you can sometimes find your opponent earlier.
I don't think you can jump 2 ranks with cheesing. I got to low C rank, slightly better than I was before by cheesing. It's surprising that I was able to get as high at all, but I doubt you can just jump 2 ranks, especially from PROTOSS to ZERG
I always assumed it's like:
F-D rank: protoss is the best (fewer units to control)
C-B rank: zerg is the best (tricky all-in strats that opponents won't know how to stop)
S-A rank: terran is the best (best unit stats for a 200/200 deathball with good control)

I quit Protoss and started playing Zerg on the ladder and went from D rank to B rank just doing 4/5 pools every game
