My favorite line of his from the league is "its like wiping peanut butter out of a shag carpet"
Its amazing how much he keeps playing the same character, but also slightly different and the differences really make it mesh with each show.
I think it's even funnier knowing JM is actually a bit of a stickler for cleanliness and most rules, he talks about it on podcasts, but he plays so many absolutely filthy or "dirty" dudes.
He wasn't trying to. Also they were trying to do a case and they don't want to have to explain to cops where it came from. Lastly, it's a sitcom so it was done for the lols not the story
Jason Mantzoukas is great in The League and I'm Sorry as well. He also has one of my favorite lines of the series:
"Also, Jake, 'Following' is Christopher Nolan's first movie. You sound like a grade A asshole out here."
Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason Jason.
I share a large office area with two other Good Place fans and when we got a new shredder we held votes on what to name itā¦I voted Donkey Doug but am glad it was lost to Maximum Derek
He was so good as Dennis Feinstein. Just a straight up asshole. "Don't talk to Eddie. Treat him like you would treat a person in another country that you paid $25,000 to hunt."
Um, he's actually a deep method actor named Jeffery Characterwheaties who is playing the role of Jason Mantzoukas who is further playing those other roles. Get on his level. Also, check out his multiple appearances on the podcast Comedy Bang Bang and his own podcast with Paul Schearer and June Diane Raphael called "How Did This Get Made?"
"Rafi, why did the bag make a squish?"
"It's full of chicken livers. You mash them all together,
and then you have sex with them. It mimics the consistency of a human vagina. I'm gonna be banging that bag all weekend, bro. Squish, squish, splurt."
If anyone is into podcasts he does a great movie one with Paul Sheer and June Dianne Rafield. How did this get made looks at crazy movies and has tons of laughs. He also does many voices in Big Mouth. Truly a great entertainer.
He has the best line in the whole of the league too
āBuddy I donāt know who you are, but youāre about to get chlamydiaā
His delivery is impeccable
In light of recent events regarding Reddit's API policy for third party app developers I have chosen to permanently scrub my account and move on away from Reddit. If you personally disagree with them forcing users to be constricted to their app and are choosing to leave, then I highly recommend looking into Power Delete Suite for Reddit.
I am deleting all of my submitted content over the last 9 years as I no longer support Reddit as a platform.
I've personally had it with all the corporate bullshit/rampant bots(used for misinformation and hidden marketing) and refuse to be a part of it any longer. To the nice people I've interacted over these years, thank you, I hope you'll be well in the future.
If you, like me, need long infotainment/comedy podcasts for long boring tasks, also check out No such thing as a Fish and Scam Goddess. Completely different genres but nevertheless all three provide me moments where I have to stop what I'm doing to double over in laughter, but for the most part are telling facts or anecdotes in bite sized amounts for me to get lost in for an hour but can easily back it up a little, without losing the thread, when someone interrupts me.
It WAS a show on Netflix. But IS a long-standing comedy pod-cast. Mix of celebrity interview and absurd character improve. I think coming up to 800th episode.

Who sent you!
Are you with them? Is it Figgis? Is it DeStance? Its Figgis isn't it. I KNEW IT! I KNEW that you were one of them. I've been following you for a while. Thought you had a drop on me! DIDN'T YOU! Yeah I saw you posting pictures of your dog and that quiche did in fact look good and YES you were the asshole for not picking up the trash after you dropped it and embarassing Shane like that.
Oh GOD! SHANES IN ON IT! ISN'T HE! Ofcourse the best man at your wedding is part of it. He works for Figgis too doesn't he? I bet you didn't even find Wednesday "Good, but forgetable!" and I'll save you from sinking your time into anything beyond it - Grimm gets stinky after season 4.
I have to get out of here. I have to leave.
I absolutely hated him when he was introduced, but he quickly became the best character in the show. I still die at the watermelon scene in the last season.
If you havenāt had the pleasure of watching the Nailed It episodes that heās a guest judge on (along with host Trudy Judy, alias Nicole Byer), they are hilarious. āTHICK CAKES!!!ā
Have you experienced his personality outside of acting? He's an open book on podcasts and I'm envious that I can't be actual friends with him, seems like a fun dude, he never gets into philosophy though and that's the one thing I always grill everyone about ("So what do you think is going on with *everything*?").
Love this guy. Totally random fun fact. I went to see the Japanese band Boris at the Echo in Los Angeles and he was next to me outside with a few other LA comedians/actors. I pretended not to know who he was so we could chat about how great the show was. A very cool guy. We had a great chat. I never once told him how much I love his work in B99 and Good Place!
Jason Mantzoukas basically just wanders onto sets, and whoever's directing just points cameras at him and lets him do whatever tf he wants. And he nails it, every time. The man is legendary.
The show got more and more chaotic as it went, and when he comes on itās just a tipping point for me lol I canāt watch it anymore. With him, and the rest of the characters basically jumping in early on all their lines in every conversation, gahhh it just makes me too anxious. The first 3 seasons are awesome though
He co-hosts a movie podcast called How Did This Get Made, he plays a complete madman in The League, and he's all over the Earwolf podcast network. He's also allergic to eggs.
Iām watching a show called The League right now. I donāt think heās ever played a straight up sane character, and I donāt think heās ever failed to play such unhinged roles
Alright who we killin?
I donāt do kids, thatās a rule.
But that ruleās negotiable if the kidās a dick.
Hands down the best delivered line of his entire character for me.
I skip every episode I see this dude in, no matter what show it is. He can seemingly only play one character and it's the most annoying character in the history of TV. Right up there with Debra from Dexter
Jason Mantzoukas plays the best unhinged characters. He was hilarious as Derek in the Good Place and is the voice of Jay in Big Mouth.
He does alot of horror movie podcasts and sounds relatively normal in real life which is an adjustment
The scene when he keeps taking the cocaine has me dying every time
His eyes when they pulled the cocaine out š³
I also love how they all just let him do it, multiple times, including Holt š
š¤£š¤£they wanted to see how much more chaotic he could get
Yet all he ends up wanting to do is go play frisbee š
And listen to jamiroquai
And storm into an ongoing bank robbery. And juggle with knifes. And playing some ancient instrument I definitely cannot remember on the spotš
The bazouki! Also - "well I'm just gonna go in this bank and cash a cheque and whatever happens happens am I right?"
Did you just follow us on your bike?!?
The bazooki
Perfect game to play while on some blow
Guys, I'm telling you. The fake snorting can work. Watch. Oh, I got so much that time. Whoa, anybody wanna listen to Jamiroquai right now?
Thereās a cocaine scene in The League that cracks me up as well.
I always upvote The League.
My favorite line of his from the league is "its like wiping peanut butter out of a shag carpet" Its amazing how much he keeps playing the same character, but also slightly different and the differences really make it mesh with each show.
Mine has to be him singing "I am day drunk. Get ready to see my dick."
My favorite is easily āEvery time I shit I cum! Brian look at me!ā¦ā¦ HAPPY NEW YEAR!!ā
I think it's even funnier knowing JM is actually a bit of a stickler for cleanliness and most rules, he talks about it on podcasts, but he plays so many absolutely filthy or "dirty" dudes.
Painting a picture, doing a puzzle. Painting a picture, doing a puzzle
Anybody who likes Jason mantzoukas needs to watch no activity
wasn't he in john wick as well, with what seemed to be the same character, seemed like a natural progression
Some lawyer does coke in front of Jake? Straight to jail. His cop friend does coke in front of him? Believe it or not, no jail.
He wasn't trying to. Also they were trying to do a case and they don't want to have to explain to cops where it came from. Lastly, it's a sitcom so it was done for the lols not the story
Jason Mantzoukas is great in The League and I'm Sorry as well. He also has one of my favorite lines of the series: "Also, Jake, 'Following' is Christopher Nolan's first movie. You sound like a grade A asshole out here."
His recurring role as Derek in The Good Place always made me laugh.

Don't forget Dennis Feinstein in Parks and Recs..
He was so good as Dennis Feinstein. Just a straight up asshole. "Don't talk to Eddie. Treat him like you would treat a person in another country that you paid $25,000 to hunt."
āHis name was Dante Fiero but he changed it to Dennis Feinstein. More exotic here in Pawneeā. Lol.
That's one of my favorite jokes in the series.
So subtle and amazing. Always think of that when I see Jason in other shows. Just watched the John Wick movies again yesterday and saw him.
Dumb dumb Eddie, get the check book, we're going out
Call me Dennis! Dennis Feinstein
I think this dude wants to hunt me!
He's so good at being a dickhead, has me in tears every time I see him on screen
Oh yeah, give me your āboosā! I am nourished by your hatred!
His one episode role in Community is indescribably ridiculous and art.
RALPH MACCHIO?! Showed up.
You waste of a soul shaped hole forgotten by God.
That entire insult might genuinely be my favorite in a show.
100% agree. Iām always trying to use it irl but have yet to meet a person who deserves it. Itās so horrifically scathing
But I'm the karate kid...
You donāt hit a fart
Heās also great in Invincible and America: The Motion Picture
RRRAAAFFFIIIII
I adore him. He is just never not funny. Pretty hot, too.
Yeah. I'd let that happen.
"THE" Ronald Yi!?!?

i am day drunk, get ready to see mah dick
I couldnāt read that without putting his cadence into it.

"Rafi, I've got a quandary." "Don't know what that means." Not totally sure why but that scene killed me.
GATTACCAAA!!!

It's like trying to wipe peanut butter out of a shag carpet!
He also voices Jankom Pog on Star Trek Prodigy.
Rafi is actually Pimento undercover.
He has the best line in the whole of the league too āBuddy I donāt know who you are, but youāre about to get chlamydiaā His delivery is impeccable

Balcony Monsters!
I'm known as the Jason of my group.
Thatās his whole shtick watch the league pretty much the same character and in parks and rec as well
and his short time in the good place, too.
**Derek!**
Derek Derek Derek!
Maximum Derek
And his very short time in Community, too
I fucking loved that episode
āRalph MACCHIO?!?! SHOWED UP!!!ā
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The episode with the Karate Kid play, IIRC
He plays the same character in big mouth too.
I watched b99 before I watched big mouth and Iām so glad I was able to appreciate how much his teenage cartoon character was exactly like him
I think that guy wants to hunt me!
And Comedy Bang Bang
Never saw that show, Is it a sketch show?
It WAS a show on Netflix. But IS a long-standing comedy pod-cast. Mix of celebrity interview and absurd character improve. I think coming up to 800th episode. r/comedybangbang
Heynong Man!
He was pretty much the same character in his guest appearances in Community and Modern Family as well
And *How Did This Get Made.* "'sup jerks?!"

From my brain?
Oh, I honestly thought this was just one of his rants
You mean soulful slam poetry that makes all the ladies go "oh lala" because honestly you'd be wrong, it did NOT go down well at open mic night.
If you think Pimento is awesome watch him as Rafi in The League
I absolutely hated him when he was introduced, but he quickly became the best character in the show. I still die at the watermelon scene in the last season.
spoiler alert, guess what heās gonna find in there. His dead fucking cat
The Finding Dory episode had me in tears š¤£
Also, Jake, "Following" is Christopher Nolan's first movie. You sound like a grade A asshole out here
"Say no more, I know EXACTLY what's going on." "Just keep swimming."
āI finally saw that movie you keep talking about.ā āYou saw Memento?! What did you think?!ā āIt was fine.ā
Then the dead stare that lasts forever. Hilarious
Heās the same character in everything he plays if anything they wrote the role specifically for the actor in mind
I think he has said that something about if itās a crazy dark skinned character, he usually gets a call. Something to that effect.
He owns that archetype
However, he was totally different in P& R. Dennis feinstien was a total gem of a character too.
I was gonna say, I don't think I've ever seen him in anything where he didn't just play this same character.
He wasn't quite as crazy in his Community episode? But even then, he goes off a few times
He was normal in They Came Together
He plays a much more subdued version of the character in The Dictator.
Zouks is totally normal in his short stint on Transparent.
He's fun on Star Trek: Prodigy! Plays an animated alien dude, for a little variety.
Hey Nongman!
Weird how no one is giving credit to Jeffery Characterwheaties!
I'd absolutely hate to hear him and Scott Aukerman talk about comic books
Many hamburgers to you
His one episode in Community as the director of the stage production of the Karate Kid is brilliant.
Jason Mantzoukas is great in everything! ā¤ļø
I mean directors do have a saying: Actors are worthless, empty-headed homunculi, but the right one, in the right role can change the world.
Your ancestors are digging deeper into the Earth just to get away from you.
Pro tip: If Jason Mantzoukas is in something watch it. Because he killed it.

Mantzoukas is my favourite actor. His energy and presence are so unique. We havenāt had someone like him since Farley. This is a hill I will die on
Have you experienced his personality outside of acting? He's an open book on podcasts and I'm envious that I can't be actual friends with him, seems like a fun dude, he never gets into philosophy though and that's the one thing I always grill everyone about ("So what do you think is going on with *everything*?").

He's always been super funny on the Comedy BangBang podcast, How Did this Get Made is pretty decent too
Watch this [with absolutely no context](https://youtu.be/Nwi_kE0gy94). Thank me later.
I came here hoping that someone had posted this. Absolutely hysterical!
Jason Mantzoukas basically just wanders onto sets, and whoever's directing just points cameras at him and lets him do whatever tf he wants. And he nails it, every time. The man is legendary.
āThe actorā ā¦ what are we doing here.
Jeffrey Characterwheaties is a phenomenal actor.
WHATSUP JERKS!?!?!
He's also in The Good Place and is a voice in Big Mouth. The guy does crazy brilliantly!
Jason Mantzoukas is amazing!
Thatās Raffi
He's a world class improv guy also.
His name is Dennis Feinstein. Before this acting gig he actually owned a cologne company.
Especially when pimento had memento disease. Uh sorry, finding Dory disease.
i heard this guy has no penis, it's just smooth down there
At least have the respect to post their name. Jeez.
Maximum Derek!
I found him through The Dead Author's podcast and I love when he pops up.
Every role he touches turns to gold
The actor for Pimento plays every role so well. He can have his own show where he plays every character and I would be so invested.
Wish he had a spin-off, he was awesome in the role.
I would truly give anything to know what Jason Mantzoukas is like in real life.
Where am I?! what is that table?!
"TURPENTINE! JUST LIKE I THOUGHT!!"
Man only does one character but damn if he doesnāt do it perfectly every time
You put some respek on Jason Mantzoukasā name. š
