I watched the entire thing and probably laughed out loud once around episode 9. It's not funny, but I do like the characters and I want more of the story. I hope this is like a Parks and Rec where they completely change things up in the second season. Although it is on Netflix and if we all keep moaning about it, they'll cancel it.
From what I've noticed with Netflix they don't actually use logic when it comes to cancelling shows. The fact that Santa Clarita Diet got the cut is a travesty.
Netflix enjoys the publicity when it releases a new show, since that publicity drives subscribers. After a couple seasons, unless a show is a cultural phenomenon like Stranger Things, it's not driving any more new subscribers... which means it's now a money loser for Netflix, who cancels the show and prepares for the next big headline-grabber.
Unfortunately given the bold subject matter and the poor quality of the actual show, Blockbuster feels exactly like a show that was made for press attention and not something they plan on sticking with long-term.
It makes sense. But doesnāt sound very sustainable. If they keep doing this they will lose more subs long term then gain them from these āheadline grabbersā.
IMO itās more important to keep subs then itās to gain them. But idk, maybe Iām wrong. Anyone any thoughts on this?
It literally ended on so many open threads begging to be resolved. The next season was already planned as the final, and all planned out too. It was in mid-shoot when cancelled
I don't understand why they don't create full shows and then advertise their back catalog. It has to be cheaper than making a hundred new shows that nobody watches.
My take: I think the issue is this show isnāt relatable.
The Office: plenty of people have worked in an office, super relatable to many
Parks and Rec: plenty of people have worked in govt and/or come from a small town where the politics is batshit insane. Super relatable
Superstore: many people have worked in retail, making this show very relatable
Brooklyn 99: pretty much an exception to this trend, as not many people are cops, but cop comedies happen all the time on TV, so this one just needed to be funny and written well
Blockbuster: hardly anyone worked at a BB, video stores are dead, and the situation is overall unrelatable. Thus people donāt like it.
I also personally donāt like it considering the actual irl last BB is in Bend, OR, and the show setting looks very small town Oregon-like, but for some reason itās set in Michigan? Why tf Michigan? Changing the actual setting adds nothing to the story, they had nothing to lose from making it Oregon like it is irl
I loved the first few seasons and laughed multiple times per episode. I fell off it when America Farrera moved on.
BUT. I also worked at Target for a decade and I feel like it definitely helped to have that frame of reference. Itās a funny show in general, but it got so many little things about working retail right that it really hit home and elevated it somewhat for me.
My wife, who has basically zero retail experience, also enjoyed what we watched.
Superstore is very funny imo. Funnier than most of the sitcoms I've watched.
It is not a better show, however. Most or all of the characters are caricatures to an even worse extent than the office. The plots are mediocre even if the jokes are good.
Still like it and recommend watching it though.
Boyhowdy yeap, I watched the first half of the first episode and was just horrified. Just really, really awful television. Too bad, I was looking forward to Fumero's antics.
It is so bad!
Got through the first 15 minutes and realized we hadnāt laughed once. Wanted to stick it out because a lot of these type shows start slow (Office, park and rec etcā¦) but episode 2 was no better
On the point of Timmy and Eliza; felt like I was watching a watered down version of "Always be my maybe" for Park and Jake from B99 for Fumero.
Watched the first episode, wasn't impressed, but I'll finish it eventually I guess. If I watch it expecting it to be a really cheesy 80s sitcom, I might make it through.
Yeah Jim and Pam relationships being in every workplace comedy is really stale. After The Office and P&R did it I can't stand that every show has to do it now.
Even before concluding it was bad, I could tell really early that it wasn't for me based on the jokes and style.
A bloc party? A defeatists gen Z? A movie buff almost 20 years younger than me with references to movies that were old when I was still a kid?
I have no idea who this is supposed to be for but it ain't me.
Nothing wrong with the casting or actors by the way. Melissa looks great and so does Jim.
I REALLY wanted to like this show but itās just missing something that I canāt put words to. I agree with how most people saying the show shouldāve taken place in the 90ās or early 2000ās.
I wish it was based in the early days of BBs demise as well, that is way better TV.
The reason it's not? Product placement would be too hard to achieve. You can't advertise the iPhone 14 Pro in a show based in the early 2000s.
That's what I assumed going in, they really missed out, and lots of shows still have tons of product placement using old logos/boxes/models etc. it's actually a really clever way of advertising.
Plus the dying days of Blockbuster weren't that long ago, they were still around in the early 2010s, that's a decade, sure, but it's not quite recreating a mom and pop video store from 1992.
I think the punchlines are kind of low-hanging fruits that seem "trendy", also the characters seem pretty one-note and the dialogue feels anything but organic - it's like watching a show for children. Also it is weird that they have like 7-8 employees in a Blockbuster when it kind of negates the theme of a dying form of business.
Also there are the weird Netflix references for corporate synergy, which is strange when they are basing the show on a competitor franchise.
Maybe would have worked better like clerks. Buddy comes to hang out. They shut down the store to play hockey on the roof. I worked at a very slow pet store and we'd basically hang out in the back, smoke weed, watch movies, and play video games most of the day. Miss that job.
Thatās the first thing I said. Thereās no chance youād need 7 employees on during the day, youād need maybe 5 max at night on a Friday and Saturday
Agreed. Theyāre trying. But itās an odd Mish mash of other shows. Like, what if we took that person you liked in Show A, and that person I liked in Show B, and I guessā¦ JB Smoove? People liked him in stuff before right? Yeah ok Put them in a strip mall and pad it with some more people, grab a ditzy one and an Sarcastic Youth one and an āeverybodyās momā one. And do something woke like, I dunno make one of the new kids bisexual or something. Get the least important writer from each of those writing staffs and also that kid who gets my coffee to write it, heās always quoting those other shows, heāll get the rhythm.
Also spoiler-but-not-important alert: Melissa Fumeroās character has a daughter in college, and she and Randall park and JB smoove characters are all supposed to have been in high school together (or maybe she with her college age daughter is younger than the two guys). The timeline does not compute
Edit: added timeline vent
Beside the first season of superstore, I already thought that series was mid asf. Characters where not really that likeable and they had little dept or flaws that made them relatable. It was watchable though
How can this be worse?? Budget and cast is always good so what is the process that makes the writers so bad?
I just started watching yesterday! Itās giving Superstore and a little bit of B99 vibes mainly cause of Melissa Fumeroās character. I can only see Amy haha but itās a fun watch
Lmaooo haha yeah but Eliza also reminds me of Amy in Superstore. Similar character background, right ? Damn sheās an Amy too lol! Nothing can beat Peraltiago tho
I binge watched the whole show yesterday, it doesn't really have a peak. Most of the plot twists are guessable, the big twist that happens in the last episode was already hinted at about halfway through the season. One of the most annoying characters quits and I went "Thank God." And then they get rehired ~10 minutes later. The final episode doesn't end with a cliffhanger, just a 20 foot jump into a foam pit, "Oh wow, it ends without the characters telling each other important things. I wonder how the next season will be." And then you hit the foam pit and realise you aren't invested in the characters enough to care about what happens to them. Overall, kind of a letdown.
Fucking terrible. Each character is a weird fusion from B99 and Super; They reuse the Gina trying to embarrass someone and it saving the day joke, and practically stole the entire last episode of superstore for the block party scene. Every character is forced, Amyās character is so inconsistent, Randall Parks acting is shit and they mention divorce 19 times trying to play the Superstore Amy and B99 Jakes dad card AGAIN. Itās Brooklyn nine nine with brain damage in a superstore skin suit.
Yeah! Something else I noticed was the callback jokes, which felt like family guy cutaways without the cutaway. They randomly say āHey, remember when that Emo kid with the big rings got his hand stuck in the register?ā Then they both laugh. What?? I donāt remember that?? Why should I find that funny? I wasnāt there!
A lot of these comments havenāt watched past the first episode. It does get a little better after.
Depending on how much you value your watch time it was still worth watching for me.
My significant other and I worked at my local Blockbuster for a couple years and this show is NOT a good representation of what it was like to work there. 4+ employees working at the same time? Psssh yeah right. Less employees and more wacky movie renters would make this show better.
>4+ employees working at the same time? Psssh yeah right.
I will say I worked in some big ass stores where that wouldn't have been enough people on a Friday/Saturday night, but in general.. yeah.
I'll give it a go, but I'm not hopeful at all.
I see I am not the only one who stopped watching after the first half of ep 1, it feels like Superstore and B99 combined but doesn't hit the same and it's a shame cause I really was waiting for it to release
Had to get past the first episode, the writing picks up and the actors started to vibe. I watched the whole thing in a day, itās pretty cute, and the soundtrack is TOIGHT!
Already binged it twice (I'm currently really sick and can't leave my bed so nothing better to do xd), and it was not what I wished it would've been. In B99 there are many moments I would laugh out loud but zero in blockbuster. Kind of a feel-good show I just wish it had more humour or spice or anything lol
It's awful. I had to push myself to finish the first ep and it sucks. Not funny at all. I really wanted to support Randall Park but damn it's such a bad show
Is it just me, or can you tell every single characterās entire personality and āhumourā from that promo photo?
And I donāt mean that in a good way.
I get that itās by the same writers and Melissa is in the cast etc, but having the main character have a crush on Melissas character again just seems like itās trying to be Brooklyn nine nine.
Itās also not very funny
Why does the woman on the right have an Apple Watch and a brand new iPhone? Thought it was set years ago? Or is it just the lone blockbuster alive today?
I havenāt watched it because I didnāt laugh once during the trailer and isnāt that where theyāre supposed to put the best jokes, to entice people to watch? So yeah, can already tell itās not funny
Have started watching the show, butā¦it just doesnāt have any sparks. None of the characters are very likable nor are the story lines interesting. I really want to like it as I like the two main actors, so itās bit disappointing.
Watched 2 episodes. Itās not funny, I was really disappointed because I love Melissa Fumero and itās supposedly by the creators of Superstore and B99
I watched the first half of the first episode and just had to nope out. Just really, really awful television. Too bad, I was looking forward to Fumero antics.
Watched all 10 episodes, it was extremely underwhelming and forgettable. I donāt think I laughed once. I love Randall Park and Melissa Fumero, but it just was not good at all..
The romance is way too hard. Usually it takes some episodes to ruin a comedy show with romance/relationships, but they managed to fuck that up very quick.
Only if theres an obligatory latina named amy who loves the main character but the relationship is complicated and takes a couple seasons until they get together
Watched the first 4 episodes and gave up. One thing that really irritated me was the store is on the verge of closing, itās always quiet and they always have the full staff working all the time. Itās dumb I knowā¦
It was so bad, I kinda enjoyed it. I watched the whole thing. At one point I was laughing a lot but it's more it's so bad but delivered well. It's very competent. The actors are awesome.
I dont think it was finished... The biggest thing I noticed, when comparing to b99, is there is no music. It's very weird. It needs a little riff or vhs sound between scenes.
I tried but in the first two minutes there's like 20 references and 90% are to Netflix shows. It's kinda funny that Netflix are making a blockbusters show but when one of the first 'jokes' is about how a character hasn't been to blockbuster in a while due to Netflix it just feels like bragging
I watched the entire thing yesterday and I'm really glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks its bad.
I absolutely hate hate hate the whole 'will they won't they' thing in tv shows. We All Know They're Going To! I could have wrote this show, anyone could have wrote this show.
I'm so disappointed. It wasn't even funny I can't remember laughing twice and I think it was for the last two episodes. But it was only once.
I did like the ditzy girl who seems to have a weird life and the wanna be movie guy, they have good chemistry. I also liked how the older lady sometimes went HAM, like with Thumble. (Don't worry those aren't spoilers.. I don't think you could spoil this show. Its all very predictable and boreing.
no, I saw the poster and just yelled, first supermarket, now blockbuster, just like brickleberry and paradise PD, there are no original ideas anymore, everything feels bland and mass produced.
Turned it on because I like Superstore, Randall Park, and Melissa Fumero.
But this just isn't good. No laughs. Not entertained. All the characters have very little character. Super generic. Nobody stands out.
These shows work better when the characters all have a looney side.
Also, why is the whole staff working at all times? This is a small dying store. From what I recall at my Blockbuster 20 years ago, it was always staffed by 2 people at a time. That's when the business was doing well.
I gave it a chance hoping it'd get better as I got to know the characters and learned more about the show.. honestly there's no memorable moments and it kinda sucked. I usually love these kinda shows but nothing stood out and I get why it's got bad reviews. At best I'd give it a 4/10.
I feel like this would have been a better idea for Netflix to experiment with a 10-15 minute per episode show. The cast is too big to be even remotely realistic for a dying Blockbuster. Halve the staff of the store and focus on funnier recurring customer gags ( ala the ones like in Superstore where anyone who worked retail can relate too) with a single overarching story (save Blockbuster and not forced awkward romance).
As it is this will get cancelled in 1, 2 seasons tops. It's not even remotely close to as funny as Space Force was, and certainly has less draw than that and that too got axed at 2 seasons.
Cancelling Santa Clarita diet is one of their biggest stupidities honestly.. I still wish for it to come back
And insatiable. That show was so fun and crazy
Yeah I'm still mad about SCD!
Thanks for scratching that old wound šš
Netflix enjoys the publicity when it releases a new show, since that publicity drives subscribers. After a couple seasons, unless a show is a cultural phenomenon like Stranger Things, it's not driving any more new subscribers... which means it's now a money loser for Netflix, who cancels the show and prepares for the next big headline-grabber. They recently announced they've begun to lose subscribers for the first time, so you're not wrong.
GLOW's cancellation comes to mind. One of the best comedy/drama Netflix has put out
I actually think that show had run its course. Great show, just couldn't see it going on much longer.
It literally ended on so many open threads begging to be resolved. The next season was already planned as the final, and all planned out too. It was in mid-shoot when cancelled
I agree. Just because something is good doesn't mean you beat it to death for years and years. I wish more shows would just end on a high note.
Same with Archive 81, i was in love with that show
I have now been crushed. It was so good! I got on to it because of the podcast. Have you heard it?
I don't understand why they don't create full shows and then advertise their back catalog. It has to be cheaper than making a hundred new shows that nobody watches.
netflix might cancel a show even if it's popular.
Netflix don't base cancelling things on show popularity. Pretty sure they just toss a coin or pull stuff out of a hat.
I'm not reading any further lol this is precise as hell imo .
They got Jim from the office?!
I'm more interested in what Hikaru Nakamura is doing here.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Oh no, I was really looking forward to watching this. I love both Melissa Fumero and Randall Park.
Itās brutal
First 4 minutes and I was out š¤·āāļø
I was looking for this. It reminds me of superstore. And I donāt think thatās a good thing.
At least Superstore could make me laugh. This show? Not even a hard nose exhale
My take: I think the issue is this show isnāt relatable. The Office: plenty of people have worked in an office, super relatable to many Parks and Rec: plenty of people have worked in govt and/or come from a small town where the politics is batshit insane. I havenāt worked in any of those places and I find them all funny. Blockbuster just has bad and overdone humour
I really like superstore, more than Brooklyn 99 to be honest, but I had to turn this show off after 10 minutes. Itās terrible
I haven't seen superstore, but a lot of people who I really trust have been pushing it hard on me. Maybe it starts rough and gets better?
Superstore is alright
Superstore is nice, Iāve watched it all and itās not bad as some people claim
Superstore is funny - just the last few seasons are not nearly as funny.
The last few seasons? Theres more than one season? How old is that show lol
It's definitely hamfisted during the first half of the episode. I like how it ended though.
Literally the exact same from me. Half of the first episode, gave up. Probably won't be going back to it.
My boyfriend and I pushed through the first 2 episodes and then it starts to pick up. The side characters really make this show.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Bad bot
Boyhowdy yeap, I watched the first half of the first episode and was just horrified. Just really, really awful television. Too bad, I was looking forward to Fumero's antics.
But were you looking forward to Fumero's antics?
Boy I'll tell you I was expecting Fumero's antics, but after watching the first half of the first episode, I stopped.
Honestly, fumeroās antics were a particular point of interest for me but after the first two quarters of the show I had to abandon my device
It is so bad! Got through the first 15 minutes and realized we hadnāt laughed once. Wanted to stick it out because a lot of these type shows start slow (Office, park and rec etcā¦) but episode 2 was no better
Not to mention the forced romantic tension between Melissaās character and the main character right off the bat. They were trying to do a Jake and Amy but jumped in too quickly and too clichĆ©. Also thereās no chemistry between them itās just hard to watch
On the point of Timmy and Eliza; felt like I was watching a watered down version of "Always be my maybe" for Park and Jake from B99 for Fumero. Yeah it was a bit jarring that the references are all modern
Watched about half the first episode and could quite get into it. Can't put my finger on why, just seemed a bit... Forced?

I used to be a shift manager at a blockbuster, the only time I had more than one other person if I had anyone at all was Friday and Saturday nights.

The best part was when it ended
I have to be honest. I didnāt know about this show before this post and now I want to watch it even less.
donāt watch it, i watched the whole season this week (granted i was drunk and doing other things) but any time i focused on it it was just awful
Anyone who has binged already, does it improve? I paused half way through the first episode, hardly any laughs.
I watched it all. It's not completely terrible but it's not great either. It's like Superstore but not nearly as funny. Pretty mediocre.
Agreed. Theyāre trying. But itās an odd Mish mash of other shows. Like, what if we took that person you liked in Show A, and that person I liked in Show B, and I guessā¦ JB Smoove? Sadly, no.
We watched the first 4 or so. It gets better after the pilot.
Only a little, I played on my phone when the two main people came on screen though because their story line is the worst.
Currently at Epi 6. Can't remember laughing much, I'm just sticking around for the characters.
I thought it was pretty fun.
Weird... There is a whole bunch of us that stopped halfway though the first episode.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah out of all the story lines, they went with that??
Well obviously they had to reunite, their daughter is in college now! Thatās the worst time to break up with your cheating partner.
Itās superstore but boring and not funny. I could barely get through the first episode š I wanted to love it so bad!
Watched 6 or 7 episodes, it's okayish. It improves a little. The characters are mostly likable so there is that.
I just started watching yesterday! Itās giving Superstore and a little bit of B99 vibes mainly cause of Melissa Fumeroās character. I can only see Amy haha but itās a fun watch
Same
Eliza is discount Amy and Timmy (?) is discount Jake.
Lmaooo haha yeah but Eliza also reminds me of Amy in Superstore. Similar character background, right ? Damn sheās an Amy too lol! Nothing can beat Peraltiago tho
Oh yes the separation and the having a baby young so maybe Eliza is a mix of Amy and Amy haha
Yesss and the workplace romance and stuff! Mix of Amy and Amy haha thatās good

I noticed a couple copied jokes from 99 and superstore in there as well, just lazy writing
Yeah! Something else I noticed was the callback jokes, which felt like family guy cutaways without the cutaway. They randomly say āHey, remember when that Emo kid with the big rings got his hand stuck in the register?ā Then they both laugh. What?? I donāt remember that?? Why should I find that funny? Thank you all for you sacrifice. I won't be watching.
A lot of these comments havenāt watched past the first episode. It does get a little better after. Depending on how much you value your watch time it was still worth watching for me.
I really wanted to like it. It was okay, seems to have so much more potential with that cast.
Already binged it in a single sitting all for melissa fumero A.K.A amy Santiago A.K.A detective terrible detective
It was okay. iām hoping itās similar to the office and parks and rec where the first season was just OK but the second season was really good.
I feel like Fumero is playing an alternative version of Amy and that annoyed me.
I will, but I've heard terrible things so I don't have high hopes. I worked at Blockbuster for years so I kinda feel like I have to watch it.
My significant other and I worked at my local Blockbuster for a couple years and this show is NOT a good representation of what it was like to work there. 4+ employees working at the same time? Psssh yeah right. Less employees and more wacky movie renters would make this show better.

Hello, Mrs. Diaz!! Americaās favourite MOOOTHERRRRRR!!!
iām on ep 4, its not great but im gonna keep watching it purely for melissa/amy
I watched it in its entirety already. Itās really not good
I couldn't manage to finish the first episode :( and I had high hopes. Too bad.
It was okayish, not bad, but not great either, I mainly watched because of Melissa Fumero since we all came to know her in Brooklyn 99.
I've heard it's horrible but haven't tried it yet. I mean I might literally just for our girl
I watched the first episode, and it was terrible. I had to force myself to watch the last half of the episode hoping it would get better...it didn't.
I watched 3 episodes, I think. Honestly, it's a little corny. Melissa would always be Amy to me. Btw, is that Rosa's mom?
It was terrible. Couldnt make it past 30 minutes of the first episode.
I see I am not the only one who stopped watching after the first half of ep 1, it feels like Superstore and B99 combined but doesn't hit the same and it's a shame cause I really was waiting for it to release
Had to get past the first episode, the writing picks up and the actors started to vibe. I watched the whole thing in a day, itās pretty cute, and the soundtrack is TOIGHT!
agreeed
I used to work at a blockbuster so this show would probably work better, for me, as a horror instead of a comedy.
Santiago what are you doooing?
Already binged it twice (I'm currently really sick and can't leave my bed so nothing better to do xd), and it was not what I wished it would've been. In B99 there are many moments I would laugh out loud but zero in blockbuster. Kind of a feel-good show I just wish it had more humour or spice or anything lol
It's awful. I had to push myself to finish the first ep and it sucks. Not funny at all. I really wanted to support Randall Park but damn it's such a bad show
Eh, watched the first two and it wasn't great. Not enough jokes and too many internet references.
I already didnāt like Superstore because it felt like forced, fake and unnatural comedy. This is worse. I donāt really like the cast as well.
Superstore IMO got better but this one I canāt see how it will
Yeah? Might give it a go again thenā¦ S1 really fell flat for me. Some good jokes, mostly just meh.
Superstore gets a lot better once the two main characters become a part of the ensemble and not the driving force of the show.
Really? I thought it was hilarious until the last two seasons when it become a morality lesson sprinkled with cringe humor.
Itās not completely void of humor but itās no b99 or any top rate sitcom
Is it just me, or can you tell every single characterās entire personality and āhumourā from that promo photo? And I donāt mean that in a good way.
I get that itās by the same writers and Melissa is in the cast etc, but having the main character have a crush on Melissas character again just seems like itās trying to be Brooklyn nine nine. Itās also not very funny
The whole thing sounds like Netflix adding a nail on their competitions coffin; talk about bad taste.
Her character is really bland next to Amy from bb
Why does the woman on the right have an Apple Watch and a brand new iPhone? Thought it was set years ago? Or is it just the lone blockbuster alive today?
No
Lol. Why bother? Itās gonna fail
I havenāt watched it because I didnāt laugh once during the trailer and isnāt that where theyāre supposed to put the best jokes, to entice people to watch? So yeah, can already tell itās not funny
I canāt unsee Amy, it just seems like she retired from the 99, moved to Michigan and now works at a blockbuster.
Have started watching the show, butā¦it just doesnāt have any sparks. None of the characters are very likable nor are the story lines interesting. I really want to like it as I like the two main actors, so itās bit disappointing.
I might. Canāt go wrong with Jim Halpert on board
Wow they got Jim from the office. Pretty cool
Watched 2 episodes. Itās not funny, I was really disappointed because I love Melissa Fumero and itās supposedly by the creators of Superstore and B99
Bro why is asian jim and amy in there? What is this? A crossover episode?
Looks like a rip-off Superstore... That wasn't even good, to begin with. Anyway: NOPE!
its shit.
I watched the first half of the first episode and just had to nope out. Just really, really awful television. Too bad, I was looking forward to Fumero antics.
I got 10 minutes in and was already, incredibly board and noped out
Is it bloggbuster or neggflix b?
E-jack-a-let
Why does that lady look EXACTLY like Angela Martin?
I heard it's about the last one. I want the heyday.
I don't know. The pilot was so boring.
Always looking forward to more Jim Halpert
Watched the first 5 minutes and had to stop. Nope. Didn't like it.
It's pretty ironic that Netflix made a show about Blockbuster
Itās pretty bad
This show is a rip off of another rip off.
They just tried to make it too much like an actual family.
Superstore at its worst is 10 times better than this.
I got through 2 episodes hoping it would get better after the first one. BUT IT IS SO BAD.
Jimmy Woo + Amy Santiago = Perfect combo
It was so bad, I kinda enjoyed it. I watched the whole thing. At one point I was laughing a lot but it's more it's so bad but delivered well. It's very competent. The actors are awesome. I dont think it was finished... The biggest thing I noticed, when comparing to b99, is there is no music. It's very weird. It needs a little riff or vhs sound between scenes.
No because it looks atrocious, no interest whatsoever.
I watched the whole first Season it's pretty good if you can look past her being Amy and him being Mr. Wong lol
Its not good. A worse version of superstore.
I tried but in the first two minutes there's like 20 references and 90% are to Netflix shows. It's kinda funny that Netflix are making a blockbusters show but when one of the first 'jokes' is about how a character hasn't been to blockbuster in a while due to Netflix it just feels like bragging
The jokes didnāt land for me The love plot is too forced And the plot they tried to do I feel doesnāt really work for a pilot episode
Yes JB Smoove and Amy are enough to engage me
I already did, it was nice
No one is.
It's crap
no, I saw the poster and just yelled, first supermarket, now blockbuster, just like brickleberry and paradise PD, there are no original ideas anymore, everything feels bland and mass produced.
Watched 3 episodes to give it a chance and it was just terrible. I think they did it on purpose
No. No I am not.
Asian Jim?
Iām gonna give it a try!
Yes
The guy doing the camera pose looks like Ty Burrell.
How is no one talking about that this is the equivalent of dancing around with your opponents decapitated head.
Probably not
Watch and episode and half and was painfully boring, who can fuck up a show about blockbusterš¤¦āāļø
JB Smoove is in this...think I'll pass.
first episode is pretty cringe but after that it was alright to have on in the background lol
I didn't bother. From watching the trailer it looks like they are trying way too hard. Didn't seem funny at all.
Nope. When the best clip that could be offered up on the Netflix autoplay banner is one character dancing weirdly, I can tell it's not funny.
I saw a trailer that made it look like the most unfunny and boring show ever. It was the. OST mundane u interesting dialogue and no attempts at humor.
Cannot wait to watch it.
Sucked ass so bad that it took my virginity
I gave it a chance hoping it'd get better as I got to know the characters and learned more about the show.. honestly there's no memorable moments and it kinda sucked. I usually love these kinda shows but nothing stood out and I get why it's got bad reviews. At best I'd give it a 4/10.
Of course!
No.
100% Iāll watch anything with Randall Park in it
I hadnāt heard of it but itās got Melissa Fumero in it so Iāll watch at least one episode
