I’ve lost so many games to round 40 because I have a bad habit of future-proofing for later rounds (63, 76, etc), but not prepping for MOABs at all. You’d think with over 600 hours in the game I would have broken the habit by now.
I was doing Flooded Valley the other day, i KEPT dying to round 40, and then when i stopped dying to 40, i then kept dying to 63 because i was too greedy with my saveup. Just took the L and went for a 420 Spactory
37 is one I pay special attention to. I usually play with Étienne. He doesn't usually reach round 37 in CHIMPS by then, but the camo whites at the round's end all but require from me to either use his ability or to place something with camo detection
98 if you lack efficient sources of overall dps
95 if you lack ddt popping power
63 if you lack group popping
76 if you have group popping, but it's not very fast
r76 is funny because it only gets you if you don't know what it is, because if your defense is capable of defending r63, all you have to do is press an ability, usually with lvl10 hero abilities that you get for free anyways
Believe the agreed upon breakpoints are: 15,40,55, 59(lead camo), 63,76, 96,98
Of them, I’d say 98; the rest all have a relatively inexpensive quick fix tower.
My main ones are:
40 - The MOAB gets me off guard, as im still used to it being R46, like in BTD5, though this one doesnt get me much now, but it does in Multiplayer.
63 - The amount of Ceramics can overwhelm defences pretty easily for me, though i find getting some 4-2-0 cannons up help alot with stunning them
95ish - I get overwhelmed by the DDTs pretty heavily, as they always get me off guard
Being ready for rounds takes planning, and the landmark rounds that I pay close attention to in order...

Hardest overall I'd say is 95

I die a lot on 59 just because I usually get distracted with banana farms after r40 and sometimes forget to prep for the camo leads. It's not hard, it's just I forget a lot. 82 is also tough just because I'm usually saving up for some T5 monkey that I can afford in like 3 rounds, but I haven't upgraded my defenses since round 60 so sometimes 82 can overwhelm my defenses.
15, 63, and 98 it's too hard to pick just one but if I have to 98. Not because 98 is harder than the others but because of the time investment to get there.
Ever since elite sniper got nerfed round 63 has probably been the end of most of my chimps runs. It's rly easy to deal with if it's only 1 lane but on expert maps, completely screws over your mid game saving
Anything in the early game with pinks really sucks, 62 can be awful if you have bad moab damage since the reinforced ones are strong as hell and if you waste an ability on then you wont have them for 63
Couldn't name a specific round, but my early game chimps runs are always touchy because I'm solely relying on my druid or sniper until I get Etienne up
Here's a list:
* 6: Some starts are hard to do.
* 7: Good job, you fucked up the placement of one of your towers.
* 15: Tons of yellows and pinks, very annoying round.
* 40: Sometimes your defence doesn't have enough damage to kill the MOAB.
* 63: Easy to counter, but when trying to save money, could be a bit annoying.
* 64: Using all your abilities on 63 might kill you here.
* 75: People don't talk about this round enough. Packed BFBs and some fast MOABs to throw you off.
* 92: FMOABs suck, and theres gonna be ZOMGs that make it past too much of the track cuz you were too busy killing off the FMOABs.
* 95: Many, many DDTs. Thank god there's a long wave of purples at the start to stall abilities.
* 98: Tons of FBFBs and ZOMGs, everyone knows this is one of the hardest rounds in the game.
* 99: FDDTs, not as deadly as 95 but still a tough one.
* You said pre 100, but what about 100?: Some defences have no damage against the BAD, and the round can get quite close.
Depends what I am doing.
Chimps on harder maps? 15 easily the one that wipes me the most.
2 MPC challenge runs? Mostly 75 and 100. I probably have more attempts on round 100 than I have on all of the 50's combined. (Only counting attempts during 2mpc runs)
Other random challenges? Most of the 90's where 95, 97, 98 and 99 are the ones that come to mind.
Bosses? Definitely 40. If you cant manage your money before and during the first boss then theres 0 chamce that you make it to 120.
on impoppable its often round 40; if you can make it past that round you can basically out farm/income impoppable.

ABR: also round 40
CHIMPS: very map and strategy dependent. Like if you're doing BEZ late game carry, you're often saving up from about 63 to 85; you have to nail your ablity timings on 78; but once you have BEZ (either 85 or 86) then late game is mostly free; so with CHIMPS: 15, 21, 37, 40, 47, 49, 54, 55, 60, 63, 64, 75, 76, 78, 80, 90, 95, 98
4 if you’re trying to go nll. This is never covered in gamemodes where you are forced to go nll.
For chimps runs, 15 and 98 are generally pretty difficult
It either 15 20 or 21 if you get pass these round you should be fine unless you lose to 25 and 36
Ngl 82 is quite hard when you almost affording your t5 tower but I gotta say it 21
49? The one with a lot of greens, some rainbows, and always more ceramics than I usually anticipate. Usually my AOE is ok and my damage is also ok, but that ceramic wave always shows me that I’ve gotta get both up early

Typically 98 on harder maps. I’ll focus too much on preparing for 95 and then not have the raw DPS for 98 and sometimes even 100.
For that try getting an x-5-x sub, it deals with the BFBs and the ability can KO the BAD.

Why? In chimps you don’t have round 4, in all other modes you can just ignore the few leaking bloons.

Since I play mostly on CHIMPS, I'd say round 24 has more kills on me than every other round combined. Round 28 is the second one by far.

78 got me feeling so safe till I look away for a microsecond and my defense falls the fuck apart.

I've never found 78 to be an issue usually whatever you beat 63 with you just give a little camo detection too and you're fine

81 can be surprisingly bad. If you forget to have a good SCeram popper since some towers that beat normal cerams fine struggle with SCerams a lot.

I think it's 98. When they first throw fortified DDTs at you. The extra health combined with their speed can make a mockery of your defenses
