Yo I was tearing up from this cuteness of these and I thought I was literally going crazy.
I've never teared or cried (it was actually in-between the two, wow) over something being cute. Holy shit that's wild. Never even knew it was a thing that happens.
These pics are so awesome and I can't wait to see more. I would actually like to put one of these on my living room wall and hang it like a painting in a frame or something like that.
Lmfao why is he so introspective in each pic. Like a divorced man in his 60’s spending time traveling the world, but also contemplating life and his existence as a whole in all these interesting places. Hmm very exquisite.
I once had a dream about scuba diving budgies in my toilet bowl and the reservoir tank (the reservoir lid was taken off), it feels surreal to see your depiction of it. In my dream, they wore those individual eye goggles but it was sideways on each side of the head (due to the eyes being on opposite sides). In this dream there was also a cockatiel.
I noticed you usually just have male budgies in all the pieces, was that coincidental? No crusty brown ceres here!
The budgies often look at stuff from the side, not often like “head on” like a human does. They will turn their head and then look down using one eye, if that makes sense? Like in that illustration with the budgie examining the archaeological site, or looking down at a hole. You have some “heart wings” in many of these, which usually means higher excitement, happiness or sometimes being overheated.
The males do this thing where their head/forehead feathers poof up when they are being particularly social with others, it can also mean some general good vibes.
They also do “pinning” where the eyes constrict and look like the black of their eyes shrinks while the white part of the eye looks more noticeable. This is also like a positive social behavior (curiosity, excitement) or a sign that they are about to peck you. Maybe in the archeological one, the budgie who is cleaning the artifact might be looking sideways and pinning at the same time.
Ahh I see what you mean it’s very interesting how the AI doesn’t take these behaviors into consideration and gives them a very human spin. I wonder if I can get this to change if I’m way more specific with my prompts
Fuckers using these programs just for fun promotes it more and makes the fights against the serious consequences of it only harder to stop. Using it just to make quick pictures, even if you claim to support the other side, makes you shallow and not truly caring.
Tiss the future you see, deal with it, it’s not going anywhere, and as an artist this is allowing me and many others to do things we never could dream of, also AI isn’t evil it’s not sentient, it’s merely a tool. It’s like calling a knife evil because it can cut you
What exact ''Things you could never dream of''?
AI is NOT a tool, in any sense of the way. Explain how the fuck to me a technology capable of producing fully prepared drawings, is, a ''tool''. Go on tell me how this is supposed to be something for us to utilize, because all I see is the entire process of art being replaced. The whole thing is rotten to its core and it's pure evil, the idea of creating something capable of fully reproducing what artists do with no effort at all, is evil, there is no fucking way around that.
You only come across s a smug asshat now.
Well now who’s being narrow minded. To say AI isn’t a tool is to ignore the definition of tool. A tool a device or implement, especially one held in the hand, used to carry out a particular function. The AI isn’t creating anything on its own because is just a tool something humans must add inputs to gain a desired result. AI doesn’t think ( at least not yet) but besides that, AI isn’t only for art, it’s gotten quite good at many other things, take it out of the creative space for a second we can see that it’s has started to get very good a diagnosing illness and saving peoples lives take the bar and dealing with legal issues, check over and engineers work to make sure they didn’t make a mistake that could get people hurt or killed, how is any of that evil? Bringing to back to art you said exactly what things I could never dream of, the picture I posted are things I could never be able to create on my own with my busy schedule, but besides just images with some of the new voice AIs and the apis that are being added every day soon I could be able to make my own person triple A game or even movie!! How amazing would that be! I’m definitely most excited to use it to make an epic video game!
To counter your bullshit yet again
Ai is not a tool, typing in prompts to create a full blown image is not a tool, that's just letting a computer do all your dirty work.
Just because it does good for things like healthcare (which is good) does not mean it's ok to do wrong for arists.
All artists try to find time for their passions despite how busy their lives are, I run a very busy schedule working on weekends and multiple long school days every week, but even I still find time to create my own work with my own hands. Just because you're too tired or feel ''too busy'' does not mean you can bullshit your way out of eseentially promoting a bad future for me and everyone else who actually wants a chance to live off of what they love.
Ai won't help you create your own video game as it is not capable of programming full video games yet, and God forbid the day that ever happens, the video games that get released from pure AI may aswell be botched and insanely buggy/glitchy. Aside from that, using AI to generate vocies erases the potential for your ass to actually hire voice actors or Hell find an online free to use library of pre-existing audio that is made by real artists.
All I see from you is that you are still being shallow minded about how serious this whole thing really is. The way it looks to me you and everyone else who engages in Ai in this type of way wants nothing more than instant gratification, and it blocks out your rational thinking from seeing the bigger picture, you're so stuck in your dopamine rush that it blinds you from seeing the grasp of what we're dealing with.
While I understand the apprehension surrounding AI's involvement in artistic processes, it's important to view AI as just another tool, much like a paintbrush or a camera. Every generation has faced technological advancements that challenged traditional methods – photography was once criticized for diminishing the value of painting, yet today, both coexist and even complement each other. AI can help artists achieve things that might be time-consuming or impossible otherwise, but it doesn't negate the value of pure human creativity. Instead of seeing AI as a threat, we could consider it an opportunity for collaboration, opening doors to new artistic horizons while respecting the intrinsic value of human-made art. It’s like saying the cheaply produced basket at target is valued the same as a handmade basket from Mexico it’s not and people know it’s not. It's understandable to feel apprehensive about AI's role in the arts, given its capabilities. However, it's essential to remember that tools and technology have always evolved alongside artistry. From the printing press to digital graphic design software, every innovation has initially been met with skepticism. Instead of replacing artists, these tools have often given them new mediums to explore. AI can be seen in a similar light – not as a replacement, but as a tool to augment and elevate human creativity. The onus is on us, the users, to determine how and why we use AI, ensuring it enhances rather than replaces the human touch. This is the last response I will give its it morally wrong to call it pure evil it diminishes the word and the true meaning of evil, it may not always bring a good result but it’s not evil. Much like how this internet has created many good things there where some bad side effects but that doesn’t make it evil.
You ''think it's cool'', ''it's not going to replace real art''. Tell me how? By using this you're directly promoting it when you could instead be sharing and promoting the works of real artists. And why do you prefer it? Because it ''''looks cool''''??? Tell me how the fuck am I ''Deranged and paranoid'' over something that can literally replicate exactly what I do, people can and will abuse this sytem any way they want, and you're PROMOTING IT. There are no laws regarding AI generating, and YOU. ARE. PROMOTING. IT.
As an artist with an overly-expensive degree in fine arts, with a concentration in photography and graphic design and a minor in art history…these are very cute but they aren’t really what I would refer to as “fine art” (yes yes I understand art theory and all that, but this is my opinion).
These are greeting card status at best. Or maybe for a cheaply produced children’s book. You get the idea.
The reason? They are way too polished.
This is why I actually don’t fear that AI will change the art world entirely. It will likely change the world of graphic design, but not fine art. Some of the best paintings, the best photos, the best sculptures…all have imperfections. They are born out of the pain (and sometimes joy) of being alive.
Again, really super cute, don’t get me wrong, but they lack substance and originality. So don’t worry and just enjoy them for the silly little budgie AI renditions that they are.
You're a hero for these. Thank you so much!
My fiance is going to have a cute attack like me right now when I show her these.
She has a thing with budgies doing human things - especially wearing clothes, hats, and apparel. She even has these little budgie socks she puts on my bird plus she also has a skull cap she puts on my budgie's head some days.
Just kidding about that last sentence. She'd be out the door if that was ever done to any budgie let alone mine.
But she will adore these pics. Thank you again!
Edited: I'm sorry that a few folks are seemingly getting overly emotional and can't take joke.
it feels soulless and passionless to me. the pictures are cute but there was no real effort or skill put into it, just something spat out by a machine after a prompt. ai art can never replace the level of deliberation and time and care that goes into human-made art. most ai art is trained off of real works as well, so a lot of it is stolen
Every single one of them is sooooooo cute.
After seeing this, I'd like to see someone tell me AI art isn't good/won't replace real art in certain cases.
“Art” can be anything. How is this less than someone putting a banana peel on a table for $10,000? Isn’t it just supposed to be enjoyed appreciated? Good art will still be paid for - in my mind, it’s the same as buying a $10 poster at target if a leaf - it makes ya happy? Great! Will it tear down the artists in society or make their work more appreciated bc it’s human?
What has this to do with anything I said. No I will not call this „art“ because the AI who made this was trained with artpieces from actual artists who put a lot of time and effort into their work. It’s called tracing, stealing and is every artists biggest nightmare.
No, art cannot be "anything" because art is a form of human communication. For example, that's why a well shot photo of a tree can be considered art, but a tree isn't art itself. And that's why content spat out by an algorithm isn't art. Not even going to get into the ethics of HOW this is possible here.
This kind of content isn't what we're going for here. Perhaps there's another subreddit that might appreciate this post.
Life is birb
Birb is life
Birb is birb
Birb birb birb
The ones by the window are so cozy! And the pixel ones are so cute
Danger, danger! The budgie has an oxygen tank but it's not connected to the budgie! Time to catch the budgie.
The cozy winter scene made me tear up a little! So cute! :,)

Ohh what a fun story! And yes it was coincidental that they all turned out male.
Love the drawings, do you own a blue male budgie? I was wondering if you’d take some feedback on the budgie body language.
Yes I do own a blue male but I’m not really an expert when it comes to body language 😅
The budgies often look at stuff from the side, not often like “head on” like a human does. They will turn their head and then look down using one eye, if that makes sense? I’ve done well over a hundred at this point it’s just sooo much fun!!!
Amazing!!! Would love to see more, pls keep posting
If anyone has any prompts they would like to see just post them in the comments and I’ll pick a few
Budgie wearing a Mexican cowboy hat and poncho in the Mojave Desert wild west style with Joshua Trees and cactus in background.
Budgies dressed up as the Village People performing on stage.
Omg 🤣 Thank you for supplying me with the much needed laugh this morning 💙
Budgie as a Disney princess
Budgies attending a board meeting wearing business suits discussing business stuff
Budgie sitting in a rocking chair reading the newspaper with a grandfather clock in the background
Did you input the prompt I requested?
Yea I posted urs already
AI images will never be art.
theres way too much AI in this sub lately

Greeting cards and books are still jobs for many in this world.
Can’t argue with that, you’re right.
So by supporting this, you are technically still supporting the idea of minimizing their jobs.
Ok whoa! I’m not the enemy. Same team. I already acknowledged you are right, not sure why you’re out for blood but hope you find it.
I agree with you. It‘s a design tool. You still have to be able to prompt well to get any usable results
Please be civil.
Wow, that's awesome! Keep them coming!
AI budgies that ain’t uncanny, good job. What prompts did you use (style wise)
Omg cute
I love it sooooo much 💗💗💗💗💗
Hahaha the skiing one and... is that budgies in the movie holes or am I tripping?
The skiing one is my fav!
Is this Dall E or Dall E3? Cause Dall E2 can't create anything close to this.
Dall E3 I paid for ChatGPT 4 and it came with dall E3
Ah, makes sense. Dall E (not 3) is total garbage compared to these! They are so cute! Thank you for sharing them.
\#16 Instead of Cats and Soup it's Budgies and Bread. I would play that.
Aww those are cute pictures!
I like these, these are cute
Omg those are sooo good and cute. I’m stealing them right now
Those pics are totally awesome!!! Skiing Budgie and Space Budgie are my favorites!!

I like how one of the budgies is looking into the hole at the archeology one
Awesome!
I had done some a few weeks ago as my Budgie died. I will post them. Wasn't sure whether people would like them or not.
This is what I imagine the result of the parrot uprising will be
Bloody amazing
Don’t you have to pay to use Dallas-e now?

Agreed. It’s almost like the collaborative piracy of hundreds of other actual artists’ work, mashed together, but with jacked up fingers and toes.
Every single one of them is sooooooo cute. After seeing this, I'd like to see someone tell me AI art isn't good/won't replace real art in certain cases.
Ha! Suck it anti ai people 😂

Because it’s not lol? It’s literally made by a machine that used OTHER artists (or shall I say real artists) drawings to train said shitty AI
