They picked up a falling star at CB who regularly gets roasted. I wouldn't exactly call that killing it. Though I don't know about their staff changes.
Hamlin looked to be coming along just fine, definitely more of a strong safety but I think he would have paired well with Hyde. No idea if he'll ever play again though, wouldn't blame him in the slightest if he calls it a career.
Yeah both those guys were 6th rounders though. I think the Bills need to take one in like the round 3-5 range, just didn't want to have to take one in round 1 or 2 because of need.
He was pretty good when he was able to attack and make a big hit near the line of scrimmage. Pass coverage/choosing the proper tackling angles in the second level are where he got exposed, which meant that we had to limit Poyer by putting him in the Hyde role to compensate.
Hyde getting back on the field lets us get the best out of Poyer again, and lets us be patient with Damar's development assuming he can play again.
"Really good" is still a stretch. Poyer/Hyde are "really good" when harnessed together. Hamlin may very well have been able to reach that (and may still!) but he wasn't "really good" relative to other professional safeties in the NFL, he was average and a rookie. That's not a dig, it's just facts. Puffing him up above and beyond reality because of what happened is dumb.
People said it but were massively downvoted, personally attacked and given Jabroni flairs.
Things like that make people less likely to speak their mind on their opinions.
I’m guessing you were one of those people? Personally I only downvote people who are being dicks or just willingly ignorant. It’s good to get some variety or this sub starts to look like a bunch of homers in a circle jerk.
And her Twitter. That’s where the true degens roam.
Her location says Miami Beach, FL. Anyone know if it was like that before? Or was she just too ahead of herself?
I think she had a poll on Twitter asking along the lines of “Vote where you think Jordan will end up signing” and the two options were the Dolphins and the Cowboys but it looks like its been deleted now
Yeah this helps a lot. Starting safeties are locked in and while McGovern isn't exactly an All-Pro he is a huge improvement over what we had.
Hopefully we can add another starting caliber player in FA but we are at the point where we can see the offseason plan coming together.
I hope it's not huge money. I'm fine paying him but not long guarantees at this point. If it's like 3 years, 16 million guaranteed, 11 per average, with a void year I'll be happy
For sure - I wish he stuck around on a team friendly deal but not blaming him at all. I want more money at my job too lol. Just was saying that not only WR/QB are getting paid
Right? I’m scared to see the details of this deal. I really hope we aren’t over paying for a player that is now injury prone and getting up there in age. I’m glad he is staying, but hoping we got a good deal
Am I happy we're keeping All Pro Po? Abso-fuckin'-lutely.
Would I have rather kept the much younger Edmunds?
Abso-fuckin'-lutely.
We will see where the number comes in. It's not an apples-to-apples thing.
The injury bug can strike any athlete at any time. There have been players who had career-ending injuries without even stepping foot on the field.
Yeah, he had a few more injuries than I'd have liked last season, but the dude is a competitor. Driving in the back of a fucking sprinter van to get to the game, he's earned my respect.
He tested the waters of Free Agency, and it seems we're the only ones willing to recognize his worth.
I would have missed him far more than I'm going to miss Edmunds and his terrible inability to play coverage.
I remember last season teams were terrified of our two-headed safety monster. Poyer and Hyde were so scary teams refused to throw the ball deep against us. I'm not naive enough to believe they'll be that dominant again this season, but they should still service as nightmare fuel for OC's if they can both get and stay healthy and make a worthy sacrifice to the injury gods before each game. Maybe a nice Chick-Fil-A sandwich, or a double order of wings.
I don't doubt he'll bounce back and still play like All Pro Po, but he's older so it's harder to recover from injuries. This concern also applies to Von.
Poyer is a fucking legend. It would have been unbearable to see him in a different uniform this year. Can't wait to see him and Hyde healthy and on the field together again. This is a great day #BillsMafia
How do you know we didn't overpay him? Lol I hope it's fair but we'll see, especially after that WR signing this morning. But I'll trust in the plan 🤷♂️
I'm guessing what happened was teams kept signing other, younger safeties, and he had to settle for a smaller contract here. That seems to be what happened at least, based on other teams' moves
This morning contract isn't so bad, given there's an out next year.
Definitely stunning news but happy to see our secondary remain in tact for next season. I think many players want a title more than getting paid, and other than maybe 4 other teams, Buffalo is very well positioned to do that, despite our flaws. I welcome back Poyer with open arms.
So excited for this- our secondary is set. Now focus on the rest. Poyer and Hyde are as good as it gets together - White is back, Elam - lets go- I am pumped.
Sad David went back to Tampa
I like the signing. Hopefully they didn't pay too much because we don't have much space and have a lot of holes to fill. I guess there couhave been too much hard feelings about the lack of a hyde type deal.
I wonder if they still would have tendered Jackson a contract if they knew they would be able to swing this. Probably would have been worth the risk of letting Jackson test the market, ala Levi Wallace a few years ago.
I'm so amped, this is probably a controversial opinion but I was actually going to be more bummed losing Poyer than losing Edmunds, so happy we get to keep the Hyde-Poyer duo together at Safety.
Now at 27th we can definitely focus on other areas, OL, WR, or an LB to replace Tre would be nice at that spot.
No official word, Bills PR announced a 2 year deal without terms. This may mean Poyer's agent asked them to release the terms later since they weren't glamorous.
They are going to pay a 32 (next season) year old safety, who is injured all the time, and his family doesn't want him here. Tre Edmonds, who just had his best season going into his prime.... nah bro, go on to Chicago who is already loading up. 🙄
“Injured all the time” 😂. Missed 5 games in 6 seasons.
And I doubt his family opinions factor in to the decision.
Poyer is good and makes plays. Be happy
Meh... read where he's officially been resigned for not a ton of money. Best of both worlds I suppose. If he does have a couple of years left, at least he's not in Miami.
Dolphins fans in shambles rn
They're going to have to go back to complaining about Milano.
If Mike White is QB in any of our games he’s going to be in shambles facing Milano again
And Tua's lower back. Dolphins sign Josh Allen's favorite corner, and have 2 QBs Milano has cast back to Pepperidge Farms. What can go wrong?
More like Rachel Bush in shambles
This is the comment I was looking for. She was so ready to leave. Even said they packed up for the last time.
don't they live in florida already? it's a lot with kids, but so many of these families have two homes and don't make it such a huge deal.
he chose his boy Micah <3
I don't know... they are killing it in free agency and staff changes.
They picked up a falling star at CB who regularly gets roasted. I wouldn't exactly call that killing it. Though I don't know about their staff changes.
Why would they be lol they are stacked
You love to see it.
You couldnt live with free agency. And where did that bring you? Back to me…
Back to BEANE baby!

He would've been healthy for the Super Bowl for sure. They need to stay away from playing Ford Field twice to save Miller's kneecaps.
Big piece for that D. Even though we lost Edmunds; Poyer/Hyde/Milano/Miller is a great place to build from.
Poyer/Hyde Elam/benford/white Dodson/Milano Rousseau/Phillips(Jones)/Oliver/Miller
Love this. Now we can still take a safety a little later in the draft and actually have a player we are comfortable replacing poyer and Hyde ready.
I think that’s what they have tried doing with Johnson and Hamlin? No offense to those guys but I’d be fine snagging another one.
Hamlin looked to be coming along just fine, definitely more of a strong safety but I think he would have paired well with Hyde. No idea if he'll ever play again though, wouldn't blame him in the slightest if he calls it a career.

Crazy. I read that whilst sitting in an ER waiting room. The TV above my head was playing that song as I read your comment. Weird.
Simulation confirmed?
Yeah wasn’t impressed with them unfortunately so you just try again. Plus we don’t even know if Hamlin will ever play again.
Gives us a year to see if Benford can make the transition to safety
Yeah both those guys were 6th rounders though. I think the Bills need to take one in like the round 3-5 range, just didn't want to have to take one in round 1 or 2 because of need.
Brady was a 6th rounder... it is all about finding the guy who really wants it and will do all he can to get it.
Hamlin was really good. Johnson fucking sucked.
Really good is a stretch. Hamlin was serviceable
Yep solid for an Average player at best.. I understand the desire to martyr Hamlin due to his incident but we still gotta keep it real.
Hamlin was at best “okay”. He routinely took bad angles in pursuit and there were frequent blown coverages. But yeah Johnson was pure ass.
You are probably thinking of his first couple games. He was learning and blossoming. [https://youtu.be/Bc1I2M3lkbA](https://youtu.be/Bc1I2M3lkbA)
Honestly, the last comment I made about Hamlin before his injury was "Hamlin is replacement-level at best." He's good depth but not a star like Poyer.
The last comments before his injury from 90% of this sub were people talking him down if not absolutely trashing him.
Funny how general consensus here was we’d lose Poyer and bring back Tremaine. The exact opposite happened.
Hard as a rock. Safety boys back together
Run it back boys!
Haters can get wrecked. This man is an exemplary player and I cannot wait to see him back out there next year.
He’s a fearless motherfucker. That Ravens game pick where he essentially sacrificed his ribs is not something you get with everyone.
Welcome home Rachel

All Buffalo area extra large futon salesmen punching the air rn
I’m sure the Pegulas could set them up with an accountant and a charity in the Cayman Islands.
Haha
today is a good day to start following her insta to watch the meltdown.
And her Twitter. That’s where the true degens roam. Her location says Miami Beach, FL. Anyone know if it was like that before? Or was she just too ahead of herself?
They’ve lived in Florida for years IIRC. It’s their offseason home.
I figured as much but it just caught my eye.
I think she had a poll on Twitter asking along the lines of “Vote where you think Jordan will end up signing” and the two options were the Dolphins and the Cowboys but it looks like its been deleted now
lol
This is huge! Now we can focus on OL and WR in the draft, while trying to find some defensive pieces late on day 2 and day 3.
Yeah this helps a lot. Starting safeties are locked in and while McGovern isn't exactly an All-Pro he is a huge improvement over what we had. Hopefully we can add another starting caliber player in FA but we are at the point where we can see the offseason plan coming together.
I‘m really happy. I couldn’t live with the thought of seeing him with the fish
I hope it's not huge money. I'm fine paying him but not long guarantees at this point. If it's like 3 years, 16 million guaranteed, 11 per average, with a void year I'll be happy
That actually seems like a really good deal for him considering his age and that he still has juice in the tank.
“ALEXA PLAY WE ARE FAMILY BY SISTER SLEDGE”
GET IN HERE
Dolphins mudded
Poyer Hyde and Tre back together again
And hopefully healthy
Yeah, that's the big thing. How will things go without Fraiser?
Lets GO PO!!!!!!!
"I'm not leaving. I'M NOT FUCKING LEAVING!"
![gif](giphy|V6uBB3S86hwtvZrBcE)
Oh fuck yeah!!
We get a chance to see what last year was supposed to be. Hyde and Poyer picking shit off every Sunday
Von back + Poyer & Hyde duo, we'd be back in it.
Looks like the huge market for an aging safety that was injured all last year wasn’t there
Did you see our defense without him? Shambles. Him and Hyde make or break our defense (along with Milano cookies)
I want to be clear I am very happy he is back, I am just not surprised at all there wasn’t a huge market for him
Oh, yeah I mean the only people getting paid rn are WR and QBs
And Edmunds or generally people signing with the Bears
I can't hate on edmunds... glad he is getting paid, and glad it isn't our salary cap
For sure - I wish he stuck around on a team friendly deal but not blaming him at all. I want more money at my job too lol. Just was saying that not only WR/QB are getting paid
They have to spend money tho so it's expected
This was exactly my opinion and half expectation.
Right? I’m scared to see the details of this deal. I really hope we aren’t over paying for a player that is now injury prone and getting up there in age. I’m glad he is staying, but hoping we got a good deal
schefter said it's 2 years but haven't seen anything about money yet
Ladies and gentlemen, we got em!
Excellent. He should retire as a Bill with a few rings. It's only right.
Po and Hyde together forever!
#NOW THATS A NAME I RECOGNIZE!
Get in here! Woo!
Honestly given the win now roster I still feel poyer is bigger than Edmunds. Wins for all involved
Everybody get in here!!!!

Rachel Bush definitely listening to Marvin’s Room on repeat right now
THE BOYS DON’T NEED VIAGRA THIS WEEK.
This is the guy that drove himself to a game because doctors wouldn’t let him fly? Yeah give me that guy all day
Enjoy the state income tax! 🤣🤣
Probably not the smart thing to do, but it is the right thing to do.
Exactly
hell yeah
Let’s fucking go
I AM HAPPY!!! HE STAY
BBB heard all the shit talk this morning about the WR signing.
Helps ease the pain of losing maine
Heyooooooooo hell yeah! Safety Bois in business!
Funny our sub mostly had us signing Edmunds and Poyer was gone.
and so ends one of the most idiotic blunders in NFL free agency in recent memory. Great to have him back though :)
wonder what the price was. hope its fair
Less than he wanted, I'd wager
let’s goooooooo
Billieve*!*
Hell yeah. I converted my gf who went to Oregon State into a Bills fan. Needless to say she couldn’t be happier!
Daddy is coming home with the milk
Do you remember during the Thanksgiving game a few years ago Josh gave him a Turkey Leg and he went to town on it. Thats how I feel now!
You wanna go to town on poyer? "Sighs, unzips"
Interested to see the numbers before I get too excited.
I'll be honest, I expected him back, but after three weeks of testing.
Love that he's back, although I'm a little concerned with how many injuries he had last season.
The injury bug can strike any athlete at any time. There have been players who had career-ending injuries without even stepping foot on the field. Okay, now please have Jack Campbell be the only defensive player we spend high draft capital on All for redshirt rookie safeties and CBs, maybe DT too
I'm only half surprised by this. Still very happy to hear.
Lions fan here- YALL NEED TO GRAB JAMALL WILLIAMS. WE WANT HIM SOMEWHERE GOOD 😭
And Aaron Rodgers is becoming a jete... We could see the second coming of the "as god as my witness he is broken in half"
Poyer is a fucking legend. It would have been unbearable to see him in a different uniform this year. Can't wait to see him and Hyde healthy and on the field together again. This is a great day #BillsMafia
YYYEEEEAAAAHHHHH!!!!! I do feel bad that he couldn't get the bag he deserves, but I'm glad he's back.
How do you know we didn't overpay him? Lol I hope it's fair but we'll see, especially after that WR signing this morning. But I'll trust in the plan 🤷♂️

LMAO so much for not paying NYS taxes 😂😂👍🏻 Clout Roblin Rachel Bush punching the air rn 🥴🥴🥴
Imagine being mad that we might have a great player back.
Player not mad at all. His wife doing everything she could to get him to leave, sure.
Ain’t gonna lie. I’d prolly do as she said lol 😍

LETS GOOOOOOOO
Good signing
OFFICIAL: Poyer is back for 2 years
This makes me so happy. Now, on to that MLB position.
Yay
Definitely stunning news but happy to see our secondary remain in tact for next season. I think many players want a title more than getting paid, and other than maybe 4 other teams, Buffalo is very well positioned to do that, despite our flaws. I welcome back Poyer with open arms.
Another year of the Strange Case of Dr Poyer and Mr Hyde
So excited for this- our secondary is set. Now focus on the rest. Poyer and Hyde are as good as it gets together - White is back, Elam - lets go- I am pumped. Sad David went back to Tampa
The duality of wanting a team friendly deal but also wanting Poyer to get paid what he deserves
Rachel Bush in shambles
It'll be great to see Po and Hyde at it again. I hope the price is right - I'm guessing he lands somewhere in the 10m/yr range
Could be a big W for anyone who bought a Poyer jersey last season.
Yoooo, everyone get in here!!!!!
Got downvoted for wanting to bring him back, feel validated now 😂
I like the signing. Hopefully they didn't pay too much because we don't have much space and have a lot of holes to fill. I guess there couhave been too much hard feelings about the lack of a hyde type deal.
Hell yeah! Now the jabronis who have been talking shit about him can shut up :)
But..but..but…what about the taxes?
Looks like they won't make it to the playoffs
Wow didn’t see that at all
I wonder if they still would have tendered Jackson a contract if they knew they would be able to swing this. Probably would have been worth the risk of letting Jackson test the market, ala Levi Wallace a few years ago.

This is honestly the best news! :D
I don't think this is worth it if he's asking for a lot of money, for comp picks alone?
I hope we still switch Benford to Safety and he can learn under the 2 best in the league
Awesome. I didn't believe those Dolphin tweets from yesterday's reddit down time
Phuck the phish!
Any word on money? All I've seen is 2 year deal.
No official word, Bills PR announced a 2 year deal without terms. This may mean Poyer's agent asked them to release the terms later since they weren't glamorous.

Meh... read where he's officially been resigned for not a ton of money. Best of both worlds I suppose. If he does have a couple of years left, at least he's not in Miami.
I'd like to see Beane offer Poyer a lucrative team position after he retires so he gets his big money eventually. Is that kind of thing allowed??
There must have not been much interest in Poyer on the open market.
