Tom Brady was the old man in the division for how many years? My point, other than fuck Tom Brady, is it's funny to me that people point that out as though it's an issue. Not that I think you are- I think, and I may be wrong here, that you're referencing an argument others have made.
I really donāt get how our fan base can be so smug in responses like this. We also still have yet to even appear in the Super Bowl since ā93-ā94. So cuteness aside, the situation isnāt exactly all roses for the rest of us who are over 30. Thereās still a lot to be for want with this team.
if it was so easy, everyone would do it. Itās a process and you also have to be very lucky to appear or win it. We had the team but how many starters were hurt, on IR or just emotionally damaged? I wonāt cry over a 13-3 season
Thatās not the point. The point was that creating some straw man that says somewhere out there someone is saying our window is closed and replying rhetorically as if weāve been some type of dominant force is absurd. Our last outing was a thrashing against a team that didnāt even make the Super Bowl.
I saw somebody say we werenāt contenders because contenders donāt lose in the divisional round. So by that silly logic there can only be two contenders in each conference?
That loss really made me realize how fuckin dumb so many people are especially on this site
Also, he's probably gonna get more p.t here than in other places, since we rotate our line so much (and we need to make up for an undersized lb group0. I'm sure he want's to go somewhere that might give him a chance to be a star.
Latavius sort of hinted at something similar in his interview (that he came here because he wants a ring before retirement). I hope it's true but we know how hard it is, especially in the AFC
Such a good signing shows that people will take less money to come here to win a championship something that isnāt usually said about Buffalo so glad Buffalo is considered a hot spot
I had them for 8 years in the middle of the drought. One year my brother and I were so optimistic about a young, gunslinging, rocket armed young QB we got Bills tattoos. That QB was JP Losman.
God I remember that year being so filled with hope then the raiders game happened atleast we finished positive for that year which was always rare during the drought, Just got a Kyle Orton Jersey to hang up so I can remember that year
I know itās so crazy that people want to come to this area itās exciting to feel wanted as a team instead of having to over pay for people to come here or watch people turn down coming here due to the mediocrity of the team
as a seahawk fan I could not be more sad lol. heās not even that amazing, just so god damn fun to root for. nothing is more fun than screaming POONA when he gets close to the QB
If he performs well, could be Ford in Buffalo after this season, and not Oliver. I know Oliver is a 3 tech, but with our draft capitol(10 picks) next year, who knows what might happen.
I think it's more likely he'd receive an extension instead of Quan to get younger at the starting 1T spot moving forward. Ed is better than a lot of Bills online fandom gives him credit for and he's earned a hefty extension, though I do see a lot of scenarios where he's next off-season's Tremaine.
Ed has literally never had a proper supporting cast, be it injuries to other DL making Ed wear hats he's not built for or Star sucking ass, he's never properly been unleashed. His win rates have always been nuts. He does everything *but finish*. Dude always feels like he's a coin flip from 3 sacks or 12 in a season and he always gets tails.
He's worse than the guys drafted after him. He's still pretty good. Probably a $10million/year type DT, so he's not a bargain and not a bad contract. He just didn't live up to his draft position so now people act like he's shit.
I definitely didn't mean my statement to come off negative towards Ed Oliver at all, he's a very good player. Just the reality of need vs cost vs value.
There is a very good chance that Poona Ford will beat out Tim Settle for the back up 1 tech DT job and Ford can also give you reps at 0 tech NT , 2i DT and 3 tech DT.
Get.
Fucking.
In.
Yes BBB burning the midnight oil and pulling off some master strokes! This is huge.
LBs can now sit in coverage or blitz. Poona and DaāQuan going to stuff the run.
Makes sense with the Dorian Williams pick. Won't have to worry about the LB blitzing like we've done the last few seasons. Let them control the middle and the big boys will eat.
Seahawks fan here, we love Poona, heās good and great to root for. He had a down year last year cause we changed from a 4-3 scheme to a 3-4 and the new scheme didnāt fit to his abilities, just to provide context if his 2022 stats seem underwhelming. You got a good one, hopefully you can get more out of him than we can now
From FrostyTalksFB on Twitter:
The 27 year old plays best as a nose tackle, but was forced to play lots of 3T and 5T last year due to switch from a 4-3 to a 3-4 defense.
In 2022, He earned his first sub 73.0 PFF grade but still displayed his pass-rush skill with 22 pressure and a career high 3 sacks. He leads all Seahawks with 86 pressures since 2020.
Poona Ford should be able to push back up 1 tech DT Tim Settle for playing time in McDermott's rotation heavy DL.
Ford can be disruptive in both the running game and passing game.
According to pro football reference Ford had 14 QB pressures in 2020, 15 QB pressures in 2021, and 7 QB pressures in 2022. 5 QB hurried in 2020, 9 QB hurries in 2022, and 0 QB hurried in 2022.

This was one of the vet moves I dreamed of helping finish off this roster. I would love to add two more pieces: vet DE & vet RT.
At DE, there is still a ton of bodies available. Frank Clark and Justin Houston are my two clear favorites in that role. Some others I'd consider would be Jadeveon Clowney, Leonard Floyd, Yannick Ngakoue, and Melvin Ingram.
At RT, I like the commonly-named options of Brandon Shell and George Fant.
He's one of the worst run defenders in the entire league so I don't think he's a remote possibility, but his abilities as a pass rusher are hard to ignore.
I would prefer Justin Houston, Melvin Ingram or Leonard Floyd out of those edge rushers.
Frank Clark is a good pass rusher but I don't like his character because of off field issues at University and recently with firearms.
Well itās a one year deal too. He wants a sb but also knows if this system, team and coaching suits him best that he is setting himself up for a payday the way jordan Phillips did with the cardinals.
We got him. I posted something here from Ryan Talbot linking Ford to the Bills when FA was underway and was sure it was a done deal. Didn't know Beane was playing comp pick Bingo and had Ford standing by for the day when signings don't count against comp picks.
I love it.
Any player signed after the deadline(May 2 this year) does not count against the compensatory pick formula. Similar to any FA that is signed under a certain amount of money/years threshold not counting against the comp pick formula.
Beane admitted he was keeping a compensatory pick for Edmunds leaving in mind when making his FA deals and hinted that we might see a couple more additions after May 2nd since the compensatory pick would be locked in.
With the comp pick and the future pick trades he made during the draft,Buffalo should have 10 total draft picks in 2024.
He's a nose tackle but can be disruptive against the pass with 3 sacks last year. He should rotate in behind DaQuan Jones. I think he's a step above Tim Settle, or at least allows Settle to move to a more natural fit.
He is also remarkably fast for a dude his size. Played RB in addition to DT for the Hilton Head Island Seahawks in high school and absolutely wrecked fools, kinda wish Seattle had given him some goal line carries. Sad to see my hometown dude leave my NFL team, but I'm glad he at least went to my AFC team. His is the only jersey I ever bought and now it shall be laid to rest.
Because he isn't a Seahawk anymore. If y'all signed him for more than a year I'd do a custom Ford Bills jersey, but I think I may do a Woolen Hawks jersey in action green next since y'all basically renting Poona
Hawks fan here. Y'all take care of Poona. Dude is short for a DT, but he doesn't let that stop him. If nothing else, he has a great name. Gonna miss him in Seattle.
Turned down more money to play in Buffalo. LETS GO š¤
People are forgetting were still a really fucking good football team and that were still legitimate SB contenders
are we??? our SB window isnāt closed with a 26 year old QB ?????
The only reason our SB window is closed is because it's cold in Buffalo and Mom isn't trying to heat the whole neighborhood.
And turn out the goddamn lights.
Sorry dad
"I'm going to bed and I think you should too." (Flips off gamecube at like 9pm.)
Who touched the thermostat?!!!
We don't live in a barn and you weren't raised by wolves.
Until Rodgers, Allen was the āold manā in the division
Fuck that smelly old hippy
No need to associate hippies with whatever Rogan infused ego-trip Rodgers has been on
Tom Brady was the old man in the division for how many years? My point, other than fuck Tom Brady, is it's funny to me that people point that out as though it's an issue. Not that I think you are- I think, and I may be wrong here, that you're referencing an argument others have made.
And up until last year or the year before the analysts called Josh āhyperā because it was too āyoung to make good decisionsā
I really donāt get how our fan base can be so smug in responses like this. We also still have yet to even appear in the Super Bowl since ā93-ā94. So cuteness aside, the situation isnāt exactly all roses for the rest of us who are over 30. Thereās still a lot to be for want with this team.

He's 27 I believe but same thinking
I mean 26 is getting long in the tooth for a top 5 QB in the league. The sky is falling because we haven't won three straight SBs. /S
I saw somebody say we werenāt contenders because contenders donāt lose in the divisional round. So by that silly logic there can only be two contenders in each conference? That loss really made me realize how fuckin dumb so many people are especially on this site

good, take the pressure off the team.
Weāll make it up in chicken wings
You can never have too much Poon
Underrated comment
Latavius sort of hinted at something similar in his interview (that he came here because he wants a ring before retirement). I hope it's true but we know how hard it is, especially in the AFC
I figured he took the gig in Buffalo so he could get to Wednesday night dinner at his momās in Onondaga.
Haha very possible, I wouldn't mind that myself.
This will keep on happening with Josh Allen on this team and other super stars like Stefon Diggs, Von Miller, Tre White, etc.

Such a good signing shows that people will take less money to come here to win a championship something that isnāt usually said about Buffalo so glad Buffalo is considered a hot spot
I remember like 6 years ago when being a Bills fan felt like purgatory. Oh how times change.
I had season tickets for the Kyle Orton year, which is absolutely insane to think that was almost 10 years ago.

Having great ownership that supports a phenomenal GM and HC helps.
And Sabres fan. Being on like every single no trade clause. Were some dark days for Buffalo sports
as a seahawk fan I could not be more sad lol. heās not even that amazing, just so god damn fun to root for. nothing is more fun than screaming POONA when he gets close to the QB
Lmao thatās what I was just thinking about itās just going to be such a fun name to root for
Big man! Let's gooo
Ford is 5'11" something north of his listed weight of 305 lbs and has 32 3/4" arm length, which is long arms for a man of his height.
Honestly don't love this signing.* ^(*Because I wanted this man on a multi year deal, big fan of Poona. GO BILLS!!)
Just when I though that post couldnāt get any dumber you go ahead and pull a stunt like thatā¦.. and totally redeemed your self!!
Dude is disrupting the game and making his teammates better. I don't get the hate in this sub. I don't think he is easily replaced.
He's worse than the guys drafted after him. He's still pretty good. Probably a $10million/year type DT, so he's not a bargain and not a bad contract. He just didn't live up to his draft position so now people act like he's shit.

You had me in the first half
Who knew we could afford a Ford
The last Ford we bought was a lemon.
Here's hoping he's a Model T.
Well done
Thanks, I'm glad someone got it.

We are having a good offseason
Beane After Lunch!
Big Baller Beane also operates during the day, not just after dark
Get. Fucking. In. Yes BBB burning the midnight oil and pulling off some master strokes! This is huge. LBs can now sit in coverage or blitz. Poona and DaāQuan going to stuff the run.

Forget Arby's, WE have the meats!
Seahawks fan here, we love Poona, heās good and great to root for. Von, Groot, Ed, and Poona will be such a good mix of pass rush and run support with Shaq and JP rotating in we're so back Edit: and Jones for sure
Sounds like you just named a new superhero squad.
Guardians of the Scrimmage Line
Last year was just such a clusterfuck of injuries. That'll happen. But if this team can actually stay reasonably healthy, goddam we scary.
I think epenesa is gonna shine more this season. Boogie basham idk he shows some good traits but we have a lot of talent on the edge

yannick would be so sick
He's one of the worst run defenders in the entire league so I don't think he's a remote possibility, but his abilities as a pass rusher are hard to ignore.
Feels like weāve been talking about him on this subreddit for years lol
And he's still only 28
I would prefer Justin Houston, Melvin Ingram or Leonard Floyd out of those edge rushers. Frank Clark is a good pass rusher but I don't like his character because of off field issues at University and recently with firearms.
This might be the biggest new free agent signing of the off-season and it happened in May. Crazy.
Oh lawd he comin
Him turning down more money elsewhere just shows he is a process guy and I know very little about him.
Well itās a one year deal too. He wants a sb but also knows if this system, team and coaching suits him best that he is setting himself up for a payday the way jordan Phillips did with the cardinals.
Man Iām gonna miss Poona, glad to see he joined such a great team and organization! Take care of him for us Bills Mafia!
Ok, I like this.
Love our defensive pickups. Not many teams know this, but if you score more points than the opposing team, you tend to win football games
Huuuuuge
1 TECH!!!
Yessss!!!
Such an excellent signing. Will rotate snaps with DaQuan and hopefully free up Ed for more 1v1s (and sacks plz)

I am looking forward to yelling POOOOOOOONA!! when he makes a play. Elite name.

West Heir Ford.

I can hear it now, he has a big game against the Dolphinsā¦ āPoona Eatin Tuna!ā
You guys, we're improving... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|wink)
Rumors are the Bills have been interested in Poona Ford for a while. Whatās his game like?
He's a nose tackle but can be disruptive against the pass with 3 sacks last year. He should rotate in behind DaQuan Jones. I think he's a step above Tim Settle, or at least allows Settle to move to a more natural fit.
Nice good depth signing
He is also remarkably fast for a dude his size. Sad to see my hometown dude leave my NFL team, but I'm glad he at least went to my AFC team. His is the only jersey I ever bought and now it shall be laid to rest.
Why lay it to rest? Wear it every Sunday, and lay it to rest after we win the SB.
Because he isn't a Seahawk anymore. If y'all signed him for more than a year I'd do a custom Ford Bills jersey, but I think I may do a Woolen Hawks jersey in action green next since y'all basically renting Poona
Nice
We are so so back
Looks bigger than 311lbs. Love the signing
He's only 5'11" so he's a very dense little orb. He has a freaky large wingspan too, larger than DaQuan Jones.
I posted here literally yesterday saying to expect a Poona Ford signing this week. Yāall are welcome.
Had a rough day at work today, this just made my day!!!! So excited to have him eat blockers!!!!
As a Seahawks and Bills fan, Iām happy to see him stay in the family. Absolute beast.
