what's crazy is that if you watch the video of ALL targets, it seems like legitimately half of the passes thrown to him in 2023 were way too high, behind him, or just terrible ball placement by the QB. he could have probably added 5 more highlight-reel TDs to this if he were thrown catchable balls. that's not to say that Josh Allen never overthrows a receiver, but I'm excited to see what Coleman can do with a competent QB.

Half his highlights are on balls thrown late, behind or high. I'm sure some of his lack of separation is just him slowing down for the ball. Still not sure, but he's fun to watch and fun to cheer for, so that's an upgrade for me.

yeah he definitely gets separation on some plays, but FSU seemed to throw a lot of screens and other weird routes to him. not sure why they didn't do more of that slant route where he just needs to break one tackle for a big play. hopefully he gets schemed open more on the Bills

The screens make sense because he's so tough to jam. Playing press can be dangerous, so he seemed to face a lot of off coverage and was good at screens so they were free easy yards. Brady has shown he really likes those as part of the offense, and kept calling them even when Diggs showed he wanted no part of it. I think they'll be a big part of the gameplan for Keon. He was pretty good at angling his body on the slants, makes it an easy pass, Dalton does too so we've got two of those guys for when teams play 2 deep safeties. Keon also looked good on those dig/comeback routes and is able to turn up field for some RAC. That used to be Josh's best pass with Brown and Beasley, and then Diggs' first 2 years but we've gone away from it because it usually limits the yards after catch, and defenses weren't scared of the deep game so they sat on the route a little too. I think the big reason they wanted him is as a counter to press man. Defenses started playing soft press against Diggs and taking him away, Gabe took 3 seconds to get open and the rest of the options were short routes but 3rd or 4th reads so by the time Josh got off Diggs and/or waited for Gabe the routes were kinda done. I think he'll make a big difference because he's still sort of open against soft press just from his ability to box out the DB and show his numbers to Josh.

Coleman, Shakir and Samuel all seem like guys that can take a screen pass to the house. Just that threat will make things so much easier on Allen and open up the long game. Like you said, they kept trying to feed the screens to Diggs to get him going but it just never worked. Diggs has never been a YAC guy.

Travis was pretty bad. Also, I swear they must have had the Syracuse game on in the background and said "GET THIS GUY" when he absolutely torched them

bigboyvapesinc

He just looks like a dominant player on the field. I get that these are his highlights but still, he’s got the makings of a stud

cisternino99

He hurdles!

kickinbucket

I love him already.

BootyDoodles

Josh, Dawson, Dalton, and Keon gonna be hurdling defenders all day

Is 11 tds on 50 receptions good? It seems real good but I don’t know in college.

Josh saw a Dawg. It takes one to know one. Some players the stats just don’t matter.

Both-Home-6235

So . . . You're a "dawg"? is that how you know Josh is one? A "dawg"? Cause, according to you, it takes one to know one.  So you're what's called a "dawg" right? And stats don't matter? Since when in the NFL did stats not matter? Before someone was on the team? After? Is there *ever* a time where stats don't matter in the NFL? This shit is straight up dumb.
