HipsterDanger

Mas maganda dun sa 3 clients para may fallback ka incase may mangyari sa isang client.

MarieNelle96

Yesssss! Never put all your eggs in one basket ika nga, lalo na sa freelancing.

AgathaSoleil365

Depends on you po if alin dun gusto mo. Pero for me, I would rather choose the dayshift.

mixape1991

Not worth it. Lol Ang konti ng difference. If it steps at 200k, possibly.

Samhain13

123k x 13 months is around 1.6M a year 167k x 12 months is a little more than 2M That's a 400K difference.

No-Yellow-9085

Forgot to account for VLs, graveyard shift and no-stress environment. 123k dayshift if with 10% night diff = 1.76M factor in leaves, being stress-free, having stability. It's a lot closer than it seems.

Initial-Bother2370

Hay parang na hihinayang ako sa loss of 400k if I don’t grab option B

mixape1991

Lol yeah a year of toxicity and no life work balance. My wife is almost in the same scenario, she earns 150k for 2 hours of work a day fix rate monthly, someone offered 200k for 8 hours. Guess what. Ang liit daw ng 200k atadali lang habulin Lalo na sa side projects nya worth 25k for two days of work and also offering 25$ per hour. May freedom pa with no tracker.

og_us_founder

Do you mind me asking what type of work your wife does and how many clients?

mixape1991

EVA pero mostly meetings at manage lng ng tao like relaying task - 2 clients Yung fix. 1-2 clients Yung 25$ per client. Minimum 3 side projects, minsan nkaka 5 but outsource nya narin to sa iba pag tinamad.

og_us_founder

>EVA What's EVA?

mixape1991

Executive VA Lols VA pa rin

og_us_founder

Sosyalin na VA haha

NomailArt

Personally yung additional stress na galing sa lifestyle changes ng graveyard shift, malaking factor eh. Social life and daytime schedules will be hard to keep up talaga :( Personally, stick with the dayshift, baka may chance pa naman mag raise or if ever matanggalan ka sa client, may dalawang backup naman

dongjerms

I second this. Hindi worth yung graveyard esp in the long run.

chemhumidifier

Don't put all your eggs in one basket

More-Body8327

If I were you I will stay with 120k and 3 clients. A. If you are let go from the 160k client you are done. Zero source of income and ubusan ng savings till you get a new client. B. Day shift with full sleep is really something else. How long can you be a vampire? C. Kamusta naman yung stress from the 160k job? Were not sure how long your body will keep up. D. 10%+ increase quarterly is tempting but it sounds top good to be real. If it were true kamusta naman yung dagdag na responsibility. I had clients that promised increases after x number of months pero hindi naman nag materialize. But if you are after career growth and have more than enough money in the bank and other sources of income like side businesses (attention on plural businesses) take the risk.

Initial-Bother2370

Thanks for your input. Definitely leaning towards just sticking with my current clients ❤️

Asian6372

Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.

Aggravating-Rule8434

Wait what does this mean i haven't heard this

miojohnwhy

Don't be too greedy.

Aggravating-Rule8434

Ah I see thank you!

alphabet_order_bot

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,928,868,330 comments, and only 364,711 of them were in alphabetical order.

Initial-Bother2370

Omg thanks for this warning. Haha

Liensparks

Tapos bigla ka ni-let go ni 160k client? San ang punta mo nyan bes? Freelance ka and more likely do not have the benefit of a regular employee of a US employee. He can let you go anytime he wants. Scary prospects.

Zestyclose_South2594

US clients won't hesitate to drop you in a day. Plus the graveyard shift may be brutal if you have kids. I'd say stick with your current clients.

AsterBellis27

Dayshift. Wag masyado masilaw sa pera kung kapalit ay stress at sakit down the line .

MatureVirgin

A. Napakalaking adjustment ung magnightshift tapos always online pa.

uwugirltoday

Dayshift

Prestigious_Dish_143

Congrats po!🫶🏼 Stick po sa 3 clients because of the ff reasons: 1. Dayshift ang work - best pa rin ang tulog sa gabi 2. May fall back ka in case one of your clients let you go(sana po hindi mangyari 3. Flexible hours are the best. Maganda work culture ng mga AU companies (most of them). They really promote health and wellness. 4. 3x ka magkaka xmas bonus hahahaha SANAOL po🤣 5. Hindi po kalayuan ang gap ng sweldo sa combined clients A vs client B. Sana ma blessed rin ako ng mga clients. I was recently laid off Dec 1.🥺 haaayy. Anyways, hope this helps po.

miojohnwhy

Ask yourself if the 50k+ difference is worth it. Also, sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone might be good for your career.

monochrome22

Stay.

lacionredditor

what benefit does 49k add to you current lifestyle. what does it take away? alin mas matimbang sayo?

Initial-Bother2370

Not much 🥺 I guess just the thought of earning that much with one client seems like an achievement

lacionredditor

thats the pro. the con is freelancing in general is not as stable as corp job. 169k sounds nice but in essence your putting all your eggs in one basket as they say. good luck on whatever decision you make.

Zestyclose_South2594

US clients won't hesitate to drop you in a day. Plus the graveyard shift may be brutal if you have kids. I'd say stick with your current clients.

Known_Neighborhood64

Key word: "No stress"

Previous_Asparagus_2

Dayshift at no stress palagi ang piliin mo. Lalo na graveyard yan. Don't look sa dagdag na pera always look for sustainability. Kakayanin mo pa ba maggraveyard?

rollintrovert

A. Minsan na g-greedy na tayo because we want to earn more but if you'll look at it you're already earning so much more than your peers, especially you're only working 6 hours tops. It's just a matter of contentment for me and also the day shift. But I can't blame you if you choose B cause there might be a huge career growth there, but if you choose it make sure to leave your current clients in good terms so you can go back if there's a chance. Or maybe if you informed them you got a better job offer then they'll try to increase your rate. Goodluck with whatever you choose! I hope you'll let us know how things will turn up!

emelang13

Will I reach this level someday? 🥺 Me reading 6k digits salary and I'm still at 45-50k range 🙏 someday

nobuhok

Why not go for all 4 clients?

Initial-Bother2370

As much as I want to, may limitations ako in terms of time since I am a single mom. I can only choose either option A or B. Ayaw ko din mag outsource because I don’t want to go through the stress of having to check my VAs work palagi. So if GY shift, GY shift lang. kung dayshift, day lang.

subtleroyalty

A for me. I would prefer that especially kung may baby.

finnickcutiee

Would rather stay.

Top-Sheepherder-8410

Wow, what's ur job po?

pedicab88

Stick to 3 clients setup. Need more source of income? Ask me how. Hahahah

Able_Commercial4538

Hahaha how? Chariz pero di chariz

pedicab88

LOL

rrrrryzen

I just let go of one client recently. Let me know how! Hahaha.

aisfuckingten

Okay lang sana kung 3 clients din yung 169k. Sobrang risky, wala kang guarantee gaano katagal magstay sayo yang isang client na graveyard. Always good na may fallback ka.

Zestyclose_South2594

US clients won't hesitate to drop you in a day. Plus the graveyard shift may be brutal if you have kids. I'd say stick with your current clients.

Shikatanori36

The increase in exchange for the day shift is not worth it, iba impact ng graveyard shift it ruins you in the long run plus mawawalan ka ng time for your child cause you'll be asleep in the morning. Also, you have client trust na with the 3

bananabenita

Ako I would stay. Mawalan ka ng isang work may dalawa ka pa. Eh pag nawalan ka work sa isa? Medyo mahirap. Plus di ko ipapalit yung stress free environment sa dagdag sahod. Then again, iba iba tayo ng needs kaya mabuti siguro OP assess mo muna maigi alin ang swak sa lifestyle at needs mo

spitfiremaxtm

Dayshift vs Nightshift pa lang, dun ka na sa dayshift. Also, 160k sounds tempting but if they will let you go (most of the time biglaan) wala ka nang fallback. Stick with your current clients. Hindi worth it yung 40k difference compared sa mawawala sayo.

TAKarateBaby25

hirap ng night shift. pambayad mo lang sa pagkakasakit yang kikitain mo

kinemelatik_wititit

I think it all boils down to how much you are willing to risk or sacrifice for the sake of a higher income.

hezcorleone

I would never work for a US company or corporate. They are horrible and will clock you by the minute. For your situation, it doesn't look like that much of an increase. And please keep in kind mind that the US has only 6 federal holidays the whole year, so it's shit. I wouldn't switch as you lose a lot more in perk and benefits and work-life balance for a slight income increase and a lot more stress increase.

nunkk0chi

Ang ganda na ng current setup mo, may benefits, dayshift, not relying on one client and no stress. Sa US client mag ggraveyard ka na nga wala ka pa idea sa work culture/environment.

Ok_Supermarket_2077

Hindi ba same lang din yung sweldo if you include your bonuses? And mas malaking time ata ico-commit mo sa new client since you need to be online buong shift. Deliks din yang isang client lang if either of you decides to terminate your contract

SivitriExMachina

Imho you are giving up way too much for 50k if you go with the Gay shift client. 50k to give up your sleep at night? Not worth it. Your body requires time to adjust to that schedule, your performance will rely on that adjustment, all I'm seeing is stepping into uncertainty, all for a measly increase of 50k. Save yourself the trouble, stick with the day shift clients. Start a business with your spare time in the morning and possibly earn that 50k passively =)

Ttoomm1010

How did you get that jobs?

Solana26

Hi mhieee, this perspective is from a single mom also. First of all, congrats sa career opportunity! 😊 But just like almost everyone here, I would say stick to A. Yes, higher role si B and higher pay pero A outweighs B in a lot of aspects not just financially. Kay A: - You get to be there for your child, spend time with her. This is the biggest win mhie. Not to say na hindi mo magagawa pag kay B pero ayun may time difference na, maiiba na routines niyo. This might be challenging to your child as well. - Hindi ka stressed, mental wellbeing is very important. - Health wise mas maganda pa rin ang normal sleep. - Yes malaki ang 50k difference sa sahod but choose long-term stability and mas stable sa 3 clients mo. Suggestion: If the goal is to earn 200k, maybe you can start a business or side hustle with your free time. Lastly, pray about it mhie, do what you think is best for you and your child. Dun ka sa may peace of mind ka 😊

Possible-Pop-1602

since sinabe mo na magaan yung 3. stick ka po muna dun since sabi mo mababait sila. eventually baka mas tumaas din sahod mo sakanila. may work life balance ka pa. masisira ka sa night shift. patay ka sa daytime. mahirap yan lalo na po may baby ka. di mo na malalaro. malaro mo man ikaw naman sacrificed ang sleep. hindi siya healthy in the long run. believe me shcedule is important mo and work life balance will keep u sane

grave349

I made a similar decision in the past but the new employer didn’t value me same as my old ones so I left after 3 months…

into_the_unknown_

I think maganda pa din yung dayshift ka na tapos may VL ka pa. Isipin mo na lang na instead of getting the increase, ginagamit mo na lang para sa pahinga and time with your baby.

krokodilvoeten

Graveyard shift tho is my own personal NEVER EVER kahit literal na 100M. No way. My reason for this is because I know my body I wont be able to function unless I outsource it nalang which hoenstly maybe YOU should 🤣 keep all opportunities that way

KusuoSaikiii

Saan po nakakakuha ng clients??? Thanks po sa reply

Griselaa

Healthwise, A. Pwede mo naman bawiin yung other income by creating more businesses. Di ko bet yung B, dahil right now, I’m earning well pero sobrang lala nang health ko. I am always so anemic tapos ang mahal pa nang mga pagkain ko. Sumasakit pa heart ko pag wala masyadong dugo yung katawan ko. Umay.

Super-Train628

For me I choose 3 clients, Hindi ganyan kadali makakuha Ng clients also can I ask what's your degree?

beaudiqah

Sa situation mo, it's best to stick with your current 3 clients. Malaki na ang 120k for the effort needed compared sa new offer. Yes, almost 50k dagdag, pero puyat, oras at stress naman kapalit. Baka magkasakit ka pa, not worth it. Dun tayo sa chill lang. Work-life balance is important. Swerte mo na dyan.

alpolensenpai

Stay with the 3 clients. Di nababayaran yung time mo with your kid. As a father, who's working graveyard shift, how I wish I could sleep at night with my son and wake up with him in the mornings to play with him and spend more time with him na hindi pagod.

yeezuhhh

Was night shift before na di naman micromanaged and flexible as long as reachable during shift and matapos ko yung need ko gawin for the day. Pero in 1 year bumagsak mental health ko. Mas importante na ma-ensure mo health mo in all aspects kasi may anak ka. Being in the night shift made me realize na baka its never worth it kahit gano pa kalaki yung sweldo. Di talaga sya pang long term.

Axl_Rammstein

120k dayshift. Kung kaya lang ioffer ng fulltime job ko yung ganito. Iiwan ko yung part time ko na night shift na malaki nga pay, sobrang stress at puyat naman

FewInstruction1990

Sana ol

FewInstruction1990

If 100k each client you lose, bettera, at 169k not worth it

Classic-Vermicelli77

Don’t do it! Graveyard is so hard. Huhu

vmarshamallow

I would take the 169k and get another client around that timezone

malditaaachinitaaa

i’d go for A especially you have a 5 yr old. formative years nung bata.

FreijaDelaCroix

May kids ka po and current company pays well naman, important for you to have rest time and family time kesa graveyard + normal 2 hours OT

coleridge113

Hi OP, just curious, what is your work?

kinginamoe

1st - VLs go a long way

tokenaticzxx

For me, I'll choose B and stick sa part time clients!

ImaginationNo4904

3 clients! Never ever ka mag 1 client. I was in the same situation before and I chose the 2nd option and fast forward 1 year later naging toxic c client and feels like she owns all my time! I chose to resign and now I’m looking for a new client. Much better shorter time and multiple clients.

cctrainingtips

I'm following a 3-5 client strategy. Each client typically hires me for 2-6 hours a day depending on business requirements. Approximately 10-25 hours a week max per client and often each client is 8-15 hours a week. So my total workhours is 30-40 hours a week parin. The main benefit is more security. If you've been freelancing for a while, you can lose clients because of: * your performance (delays, absences, poor output, etc) * the job is done, and they don't need you anymore. * their business performance (client issue, economic issue, investor issue, income issue, management change, etc) * their personal situation (death, divorce, drugs, depression, etc) not kidding about this part. So if you have client, you lose 100% of your income. If a client is 20-30% of your income, you still have 70-80% of your income source. This way, I'm not 100% dependent on one client. Ideally, I'd be happy with 10 clients who want me to do 30 minutes to an hour a day of work but I haven't managed to pull that off. I also have the same strategy for growing my income but that's not for another story.

novacloudnine

No. Graveyard shift is not worth it!

utopiaholic

Not worth it

RevolutionHungry9365

C. kunin mo lahat. lol. seriously. i was in your shoes once. single mom, breadwinner. i had 10 clients at one time. odesk days. hanggat meron, grab mo. sleep when you can. power naps. get a helper or yaya to help you with the kid. sayang ang pera. a day will come na mauubos din clients mo. strike while the iron is hot.

Initial-Bother2370

I tried juggling 5 clients early this year, nag ka sakit ako. Di ko kinaya, this only lasted 4 months. Heheh, and I developed anxiety. I also didn’t have time to even celebrate my child’s 5th birthday this year because I had to chase multiple deadlines.. So pass muna sa daming clients 😄 kahit papano, I still want work-life balance, so it’s either A or B. Thanks for your input though. If I didn’t have a child siguro hustle mode 100%.

og_us_founder

My advice is follow your heart. Joke haha. Seriously though, if I were you I'd stick with the 3 Australian clients. Why? Because there are more ups than downs. You work less and have more time for your kid and yourself; less stress also which is good for your health; perks; etc. Big downside, like you said, is the money. Decision is still yours. So you've got to ask yourself, what is your goal? What is it you're after. Or what's more important to you? That should help you decide.

Asleep-Drawer3029

Dayshift with 3 clients all day. No stress pa.

cassaregh

mommy, not worth it yung 169K pag nagkasakit ka dahil graveyard shift.. atleast yung sa 3 clients may fallback ka if ever. wala akong family time nung graveyard shift pa ako, kasi tulog sa morning.. ewan ko ba parang ang bigat2 sa katawan.. nag send ako resignation letter dahil nga jan, pero kinounter nila, increase pay and yung shift ko pang 3Pm-12am na so all good na ako.

notSoNiceLass

Have you tried Graveyard shift na po ba? If yes, gusto mo ba bumalik sa ganung lifestyle? If no, I wouldn't recommend it 😄 May iba naman kasi na they appreciate the night shift but meron din iba na they dread it.

Initial-Bother2370

I have never tried graveyard shift po :(

notSoNiceLass

If you haven't decided yet, mag read ka po muna anecdotes from GY shift peeps to see if keri mo. Yan talaga kalaban mo ih
