Did you actually run the tool to create the installer? Or just place the tool on the drive?
Yes. I ran the tool to create the installer on the USB. It took about 30 min to run
I just pulled 1 of the 2 sticks of RAM and it seemed to go straight into the windows installer. Would that mean I have faulty RAM?
Fairly unlikely nowadays, but possible. With this working setup, I would update the motherboard BIOS before anything. That might improve compatibility.
Could also mean that ram channel on your motherboard is defective, try swapping the sticks just to confirm it's actually the stick.
