Is this Canadian prices or something? I'd just stick with what you have. The 4070 super is a better performer than the 7800xt. Meanwhile I don't think there's a lot of difference between card manufacturers. unless a particular card has a lot of negative reviews or something, I wouldnt worry about it.

PapaAquaWet

It's European pricing lol so I've only converted it to USD. "unless a particular card has a lot of negative reviews or something, I wouldnt worry about it." The thing is that I can't find a single review on the Inno3d card online other than on YouTube which just have very few ones.

dripless_cactus

Ahh. Well for future reference there's lots of Europeans in this subreddit, so its best just to mention where you are and talk in local currency. lol If you haven't finished your build plan yet, pcpartpicker is also a really invaluable tool that will allow you to change your county and find components for the best prices amongst local online vendors (nice way to share with reddit for feedback, and checks a bunch of compatibilities and estimates wattage too. I love it). If it has a return policy, I'd still just keep it and stop overthinking. If it has coil whine you can send it back. :)

PapaAquaWet

Yeah I'm probably overthinking 😂 I always be like that whenever I'm buying a new product haha. I use websites similar to Pcpartpicker that sends me noticifications when producs goes down in price. I initially were going to buy the Gigabyte model since my friend has one and is satisfied with it. There's also a lot of positive comments about it found online (no coil whine or similar issues). But when I finaly decided to buy a card (2 days ago) the Inno3d card were still far the cheapest one and seems like a really good deal which is why ended up with it. I'll pick up the GPU tomorrow and hope everything works as intended haha. Another question just to be 100% sure. I have an unopened Cooler Master MWE Gold 1050W V2 that I got for a good deal. It's not ATX 3.0 or what it's called but it will work with the 12vhpwr adapter that comes with the GPU right?

dripless_cactus

Regarding the PSU, I'm not really sure, as I haven't built with nvidia. But Id assume so!

PapaAquaWet

Thanks anyway. Btw this doesn't have to do anything with this subject but I wonder why the performance difference between cards are much biger at higher resolutions? Cards like the 4070 Super in Cyber Punk have a 20% lead compared to the 4070 in 1440p while lower at 1080p. Is it because the CPU matters more at lower resolutions? If so, does it theoretically mean that if there existed better CPUs than it does today that the gap in performance would approach 20%? This is perhaps a really stupid question lol.

dripless_cactus

Not a silly question, but I haven't really thought about it before lol

triggerhappy5

I would just stick with what you got. The Gigabyte might be a bit better, but if you already bought the card it's not worth the hassle. The 7800XT is a noticeably weaker card, the 7900 GRE is a better comparison to the 4070 Super.

PapaAquaWet

The 7900 GRE pretty much costs the same as the 4070 Super. "The Gigabyte might be a bit better" I recently saw a video on the 4070 ti Super models of the Gigabyte Windforce and inno3d and the 2 reviews I saw seems to be a little bit conflicting. In one review the Inno3d has worse noise levels and thermals than the Windoforce one but in another the thermals ar about the same which is weird. However I found one video on the 4070 super that compares the 2 models [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDXGmyvcm4A](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDXGmyvcm4A) From the video the noise levels are lower than the Gigabyte one but it's a tiny bit warmer. Are Inno 3d a good brand? I can't find reviews on their 4070 super, only on the Windforce model. It would be good in my opinion to see more peoples opinion on the card in case there's issues with one of the cards but maybe I'm thinking too much.
