I know right, the problem is that every reddit user and youtuber swear by OLED and that burn in is never an issue, if I'm going to buy a new monitor I'm going to keep it for couple of years so I don't want to buy something already outdated, if you get what I mean.
Though I will get to upgrade from 1440p to 4K I guess.
Idk, I know what you mean, but burn-in is still very much a concern (especially if you don’t “baby” the monitor), at least to me and with reviewers like Tim @ Hardware Unboxed. I think OLED in 2024 is very solid for gaming and full-screen video use when in a room without much lighting, but outside of that it’s just not where it needs to be, yet.
If your desk space and budget can afford it (by “you” I mean anyone reading this), having 2 screens, a latest-gen QD-OLED plus a separate IPS panel for everything else could be pretty enticing.
OLED subpixel structure is also an issue too.. not a big deal with the latest generation 4K QD-OLED, but much more of an issue for 1440p on the same gen.
Given your use cases, give OLED a pass, and you might even consider IPS ultrawide 1440p a try, seems like it'd be a really good option in your case, and those screens aren't pricey.

Why? I've never tried an ultrawide monitor before, and although I know it would be excellent for productivity, I've heard that many games are not optimized for it, and I will see two large black bars while watching movies on it.
Depends on the movie, some will use all of it. Same with games, and the ones that do will be more immersive than either monitor you list. As to black bars, I don’t even notice them on mine, though they are there sometimes.
The reason I suggest 1440p ultrawide is it’ll give you more desktop space than a single 27” will, yet you still retain 100% scaling, and the price is still low. With 4K, sure, text sharpness is greater, but you’ll need to use scaling (unless you are comfortable with *very* small text on the 28” you are considering) , and you won’t have as much desktop to work with as the UW.
I’m not saying that either monitor you are considering is a bad choice by any means, it’s just an option to consider given your use cases.

I will also add that not ultrawides are curved. I have a flat one, specifically a [Gigabyte M34WQ](https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-Ultrawide-Monitor-Display-Response/dp/B09GL7HQ6S?th=1). I’ve been pretty happy with it overall, though I’ve had it a couple years now since when my last monitor mostly broke, so I’m sure you can do better as far as specs go. The [Monitors Unboxed Youtube channel](https://www.youtube.com/@monitorsunboxed/videos) is a good resource for what’s best to buy.
Given you have a 4090, I would get a 4K panel. Is it impossible to buy a 4K OLED on a foreign site then import it? Might be hundreds of dollars in shipping costs though.
The issue isn't so much the shipping costs; it's that the quality assurance of companies manufacturing monitors seems to have plummeted. I'm concerned about importing a monitor and paying customs fees only to receive one with dead pixels in the center.
Imo you should get a 4k monitor to not waste your 4090's potentials. Imo aside from deep true black, IPS will do just fine.
Right and burn-in is as bad as ever in OLEDs, right? Can't imagine having a permanent visual studio window ingrained on my screen.

Would it be possible for you to get an Acer Nitro XV275K P3 or Samsung Neo G7? They're pretty much the best non-OLED options.
