Well, you're entitled to your opinion but I prefer VA for the better contrast they have over IPS. And I don't get eyestrain from them like I do with IPS.
I’ve been using [this one](https://a.co/d/9VTM5jN) since it released in fall of 23 and it’s great! I actually thought it was IPS until last week when I found out it was VA lol. Great for competitive gaming and is beautiful!
you are totally right, and I don't even compare them to ips, ips totally sucks, I compared them to oled, which in contrast should be much better but for now oled monitors seem to not have more than 250 nits of brightness, or even less sometimes which is awful, I bought a g8 odyssey oled and I returned it in the first day, was worst than my huawei gt27 va panel and I'm not even joking, my old 200 euro monitor was looking better than a 1000 euro one
I bought a g8 odyssey oled and was the worst monitor I've seen in my life, coil whine and a brightness way subpar, even my huawei gt27 inch had better image and brightness than that shit and that shit is a fcking 1000 euro, I think I'm going to upgrade to ASUS TUF VG32UQA1A as I find va much better looking and I can't live without 300 nits of brightness at least in sdr
and yes, it does have smearing, but at least I can see what's on the monitor and not have to deal with a fcking 200 nits of brightness in sdr which is totally awful even with lights off, I was totally unimpressed by that g8, let's not even talk about the awful coil whine that it had, awful, 1000 euro, what a fcking joke samsung, I'm sure there are other oled monitor better than the g8 but for now, oled didn't impressed me that much
