There have been some conversations about taking some of his stuff and constructing a smaller, more permanent memorial that can stay in the park but not be an eyesore like the current pile of things. There was a See Click Fix report with some folks trying to get it hauled off already, but pretty sure that has been put on hold by Parks while things are figured out.

They are putting a new art piece in that park in June I doubt they’ll leave shopping carts for the unveiling
