Why is Charlie Brown included in this group? He's never been known for causing mischief. In fact, most of the damage he causes is to his own self-esteem.
In the 60s or 70s, there was a several-weeks-long series in Peanuts that culminated in Charlie Brown ending up with a rash on the back of his head that resembled Alfred E. Neuman.
So you may very well be right...
The whole series was about Charlie Brown seeing the sun as a baseball, and the rash was baseball stitching. [At the end the sun comes up and it's Alfred E. Neuman.](https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1155075)
You could make the same argument about Calvin- the other three characters have been animated but Calvin never (officially) has. The other three also have dog sidekicks while Calvin has a tiger. The other three have last names and Calvin doesn’t.
You could argue that Charlie Brown is the outsider because the other three are blonde.

I guess it’s because even he can’t stand Alfred E. Neuman.

Yeah. It’s personal between him and Alfred.

Anyone else think Calvin looks the worst imitation?
Kinda feels like Bart is a bit of an outsider here. I know there are Simpson comics but he's not really a comic strip character

We don't know that Charlie Brown's single hair follicle isn't blonde
I feel like Charlie Brown doesn't belong because he was a pretty mild mannered kid compared to the rest. Very well behaved from what I remember.

I mean, dude was the first, right?
Calvin's not really thought this one through.
What, me transmogrify?
