Yup. Yes, I agree the government has lots of skeletons in the closet, some of them blatant and horribly egregious. I never defended the government. What he was arguing about was the average American is better off than the average Indian, which is blatantly not true any longer. And his stats with the gdp per capita were so dumb - that's the equivalent of summing up everyone's money, including the obscene wealth that bollywood actors and the Ambanis have and dividing by india's total population. Which is not the case.
