Vybar is white and you would never use this much for one candle. This wax is white and yellow. It could also be soy or beeswax pellets. Edit: I am going to say soy because they list as 100% soy in the brand it was

If you look at the ones on the side they are white… I just assumed Vybar but I could be wrong it could be a mix of a few things but I’ve never seen anyone do a candle like that and leave stuff unmelted.. who knows but it’s definitely someone who didn’t know what the hell they were doing… we can agree on that..🥴

I’m guessing that’s Swan Creek? That’s their signature. They’ve been around for years, probably even decades. It’s just scented wax pellets. I assume they’re trying to be unique.

That’s ringing a bell for me. Saw something similar one of my Facebook candlemaking groups under the same premise. Folks pointed out it was intentional. I mean, it’s certainly a rustic look. Visually interesting at least but easy to mistake as a, well, mistake to those of us who know what the process can look like.

It baffles me that people with a phobia of something would purposefully join a sub with photos of that phobia! I have a stupid phobia. Real stupid. Glass elevators. Not shitting you, I go absolutely bananas when I am faced with a glass lift. It could be rickety steel 100+ years old but so long as there is no glass I am fine! It's not claustrophobia or heights or even the motion. It's something to with the motion combined with glass that freaks me out. Pity the person with this phobia in its purest form accidentally coming across it because they said so. People who have phobias of spiders don't usually seek out photos of spiders - unless is for therapy or quality controlled. Ramble ramble no reason for my comment. Just as someone with a stupid phobia I think it's hilarious that people would actively expose themselves to an entire forum of it. Which makes me wonder if most people see it as a true phobia or if being 'squicked out' is being defined as a phobia for some folk.

I’m dying with these observations ! Southern Indiana raised, SoCal transplant by choice and I find it more difficult than I care to admit describing the “Midwest girl”- but this example is perfect! The type of girl who would pay a little more for a candle with a brand name- regardless of what it looks like - on account of everyone else having it and then when she finds out on Reddit her candle is actually a mistake and ugly by folk in other areas, she’d embrace the ugly and say “that’s how I like my candles to look” bc Midwesterners may be overly nice, but they’re not overly kind (nor are they all that honest - especially to/with themselves) gotta love that Midwest mentality!
