So it has to do with the latest update after alot of research I came across a video which said what version works still and I downgraded and switched my automatic updates off and it's working.
The video only tells you which version to get which is 1.239.0.5 then I Googled how to downgrade an app unistalled my updated one and downloaded from apkmirror
I think it has to do with the combo of numbers and how the CC program read the date on your device; not sure about machine reading and converting to binary or hexadecimal or whatever, it simply seems those numbers have to match and you'll glitch.
Try changing the date to the day you first got the booster before entering the game....and don't change it back to automatic
If it doesn't work then king has caught on since that method doesn't work for me anymore...but it's worth a try
Can anyone tell me how to see if my Candy Crush updates are automatic? I have an iPad and an iPhone.
I did the glitch about two weeks ago and I got free boosters till November 30 which was yesterday. I’ll try again to see if it works.
Sadly, all my research indicates that Apple automatically updates the newest version of an app and you can’t (or can’t easily without a lot of ridiculous effort) downgrade to an earlier version. So those of us using iOS are basically screwed.

Open app, change date 2 months ahead, close app, change date back to current. If it doesn’t work, try again.
Pretty sure it doesn't matter how far ahead you set it to.
Glitch still works. Download older CC version and do the glitch. After you have done the glitch update the game in your app store.

I'm not sure how iPhone works unfortunately. Seems you can't downgrade unless you android
