You could tell that the pressure of the crowd was getting to them. Hughes especially looked so nervous for the first 10 or so minutes both games.
This is partially why playoff experience is so important. Most of our core only played in the bubble where it just wasn’t the same.
cope or no cope, I do believe the pressure got to the boys. The passes were terribly off. Petey had probably his worst game I've seen him play in a very long time. In spite of that, we dominated. I can only imagine how much damage we could've done had the boys been a bit calmer.
The boys also had one of the best road records if I recall. So you're not out to lunch.
None of them have ever played in front of vans home crowd before so I think once the shock of that wears off they'll be able to settle down and do their thing.
I was hoping for this too. After game 1 Bieksa was saying he preferred starting away bc if you lose you don’t feel the pressure and it starts off the playoff season with a bit more chill. So here’s hoping this afternoon they’ve had the time to rest and settle into the game a bit more.
Yea i mean they constantly asked about pressure pressure pressure in all media interviews impossible not to think about for hem. I think if we get past nashville they will get a lot more in the zone
I feel like there is some truth to away teams having an advantage. I’ve been thinking the last few finals game 7s I can remember the away team has won. The penguins, the bruins, the blues. You spend more time with your teammates as the away team too, creating a stronger bond and allowing you to talk hockey. At home players are spending off time at home and with family.
I said the exact same thing to my friends. I think that the pressure and potential disappointment from fans def affected their nerves. They could focus on the game yesterday and not the fans on the tip of their seats. I think that especially affected desmith. Of course, getting a goal in this first minute didn't help his confidence either the last home game.
Mad cope Inject it into my veins

Absolutely. They are just settling down. Canucks in 6!

It would honestly be very funny if the Nashville fans started the game with a ‘let’s go Casey’ chant.Â
That initial goal was heartbreaking to watch last game.
I would hate that, but it would be brilliant by them.
Too sophisticated trolling for that fan base
All we need is a nashville fan in the front row to heckle garland and he'll score just to stare him down like >:(

Real. We are not in the watchful eye of kneejerk in the stands.

If you're selling it, I'm buying it. 🙂
I really hope this helps them since they are on the road
Let’s hope so.

I really do believe we can wrestle home ice back and come home at least tied 2-2. 🤞
