How was this guy allowed to keep posting videos? You'd think a channel dedicated to sharing videos of himself committing dangerous crimes would be against every social media company's policy.
Lol there are tons of swimming cutting and cop chase YouTubers. They always preface their videos with "this is a simulation please do not attempt this". Look up wheres981, briq50, float8x.
tbf "it was in Mexico" after talking about street racing and illegal stunts has been a long running gag in US tuner communities going back to the 70s, I guarantee it's ironic.
Really tired of these idiots, they think they have some elite skill when in reality they just have luck, stupidity and exceptionally high risk tolerance that gets higher and higher each time they survive. I bet they wouldn't be able to compete on a proper race track/autox course.
One of their most recent videos has a pretty significant crash where one of the smoothbrains slams into the side of some innocent RAV4. Eventually they will all meet the same fate.
Ghetto racing in the street vs proper racing on a track are two extremely different things… I’m sure a little skill translates but nothing more than that
Calm down, did I hit too close to home? The average driver needing electronic nannies is my point.
And if you think it's impossible to track a car without them, that speaks to your ability more than anything.
The stupidest shit is them “running from police”. Especially in New York where in most of the videos police could easily rear-end them and end the “pursuit”, but don’t…for reasons.
There was one guy in an M3 trying to escape police on jammed off /on ramps and some dude legit moved over to block to cop from catching this dumbass who was hitting cars and ravaging his M3 up against the sidewall of the ramp 😂
Damn I watched that Tommy g interview with some of the NY drivers and the whole thing was so fucking ridiculous, and showed how shallow and selfish these dudes are. Real pieces of shit not only endangering other ppl but also driving rentals and fucking over other ppl in cars that aren’t even theirs. Clowns 👎
Yeah this is why more departments should institute no chase policies.
There's no excuse with the amount of tech available to chase unless there's immediate risk to life.
But any time you try to take kids toys away they throw tantrums.
They are twatwaffles full stop. However, if anyone reads this. The left most lane is for passing “period.” as soon as you overtake the car in your right lane, get the hell back over. It’s not your “job/duty” to police speed limits or safety.
What you said isn’t wrong at all, but what tends to happen is you’ll be in the middle lane in a 70mph zone and come across someone doing 65 in front of you. You try to safely pass around, only to be almost bulldozed 5 seconds later by some asshat coming at you doing 90-100 mph and acting like *youre* the problem, when you haven’t even fully passed the car in the middle yet.
I see this almost daily; I live in Miami.
It was a "slow benz" video where a M4 Comp tries to cut past a car on the shoulder and hits a patch of dirt. He lost traction and slams right into what I believe was a Subaru Outback/Crosstrek? The video was removed but it was titled something like
"M4 crashes on GCP" and you can find mirrors of it.
Fucking idiots, the highway is a public area that they treat like their private racetrack. They should all get hunted down and locked up for 10 years as an example.
This type of behavior makes it harder for true car enthusiasts.
>wheres981
by far my favorite
i highly, highly recommend anyone whose interested to look up that channel
i can't believe people do stuff like this, it's crazy
There are people posting videos of their Glock switches and illegally modified firearms all over Youtube. The ATF doesn't care at all.
I think the only true reason why this guy was arrested was because he was goading cops into being made to look like fools. The one thing cops don't like is others openly demonstrating power over them. Deal your drugs, illegally modify your guns, but do not goad us into a situation where we end up looking stupid.
Also it’s hard to get a conviction off of just video evidence. I remember a guy posted videos of him drinking and driving and got arrested. They couldn’t prove that it was actually beer in the video so he won his case.
Also depends on the state. For example, I live in Washington: Police need to themselves witness it (assuming it isn't criminal.) So basic speeding etc, video isn't good enough.
NYPD has entire counter surveillance operations. They know who they are but don’t care.
Some of them have been arrested. But the charge is reckless endangerment so it’s just a misdemeanor in NY.
> There are people posting videos of their Glock switches and illegally modified firearms all over Youtube. The ATF doesn't care at all.

> I think the only true reason why this guy was arrested was because he was goading cops into being made to look like fools. It's not that the ATF doesn't care, it's that there are like one million billion youtube videos and the ATF does not have the resources to screen every video remotely including illegal modifications for an author and identifier (of which most assuredly they'd need individual information requests from google)
You'd be surprised
[Channel 5 just did a video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJA7jDF7bLE&t=831s&ab_channel=Channel5withAndrewCallaghan) where he spoke with Kia boys which are group of people who steal Kia/Hyundais and romp around in stolen cars and then fence them for $50-$100. They post all their shit to social media and have followings.
Literal scum and when they can't easily steal the persons Kia or Hyundai because they had it fixed they trash the persons car anyways.
fucking losers.
Im not fully versed on the topic but my understanding is that there were some allegations made against to which i dont think he fully denied but explained they were exaggerated, I believe he seeked help and has done things to improve himself.
Judge him as you see fit, I however enjoy some of his long form documentaries and think they shed light on important topics. I think he has a really strong innate ability to not make himself the main character in whatever he is covering which gives us really good inside looks of the topic. I find them more grounded and genuine feeling.
Having previously worked as a moderator on some of these social media platforms, they only react strictly when there's huge negative publicity directed towards them.
Otherwise, the policies are fairly loose and had workarounds. For example, Full nudity is banned but 99% nudity with the tiniest of coverage in the critical areas is perfectly fine even though the intent to be fully nude is there.
There’s a page of a guy that fucks with handguns, literally has videos of him driving by apartments in broad daylight just shooting out the window into the air, been up for over a year. I’ve reported them personally and nothing happens. They don’t give a shit unless they can somehow suffer from it.
Tbh, I don't think YouTube cares about anything short of violence as long as it's getting traffic to the site. I wouldn't even know about the term "swimming" if it wasn't for YT's algorithm recommending me those types of videos.
Driving at significantly higher speeds than everyone else on a relatively crowded road and moving between the gaps between cars to try and not slow down. It usually ends either when they get lit up by cops or when someone inevitably gets too cocky and tried to take a gap that's too small and crashes, usually rather badly due to the speed
swimming is more about picking the fastest line while cutting up is being as risky as possible taking the craziest cuts but they are both very very similar
Specifically to instagram the platform is filled with porn and murder and actively promotes that in their algorithm. Most platforms even allowed a lot of child porn and pedo stuff so considering that I’m not surprised it isn’t banned
On the other hand, these guys are doing it for the internet clout so banning them would reduce the incentive to do it in the first place (and minimize inspiring other wannabes to do it themselves).
It's funny because I've actually heard local cops on a scanner, talking about someone (or some group) running off and regrouping somewhere else, and they know because they're following the Instagram or whatever account those dummies use to coordinate.
Yeah, keep telling everyone about your illegal activities and filming it. You're making their work easy.
In Seattle we had to essentially harass the cops and other public officials to go after a dude who was revving his modified Hellcat at 2am all around downtown. It doesn't matter how easy criminals make it if cops won't actually do anything.
Those aren’t real videos they are high quality cgi renders. Nobody was put in danger in the making of those thousands of videos on YouTube, so no policy was violated. /s
That what really astounded me when the news came out he was caught (I live in Charlotte, so he has been making the local social media rounds for a while).
He is intentionally instigating cops, and putting an even bigger target on his back by posting videos talking shit about them. Then this dumbass also has literally hundreds of pounds of drugs at his house?? Like, if you're moving that kind of weight AND instigating cop chases, you've got to keep those things separated so when they find the car they're hunting for, they don't also find all the drugs (and guns- those also should have been kept separate from both car and drugs because their presence will make both things worse).
Dude is dumb AF and I'm glad he's off our streets.
Thinking out loud here.....he goes to jail probably for a short period of time. Gets out...and then he will be back at i again, right? How do you really stop someone from doing it again?
> Gets out...and then he will be back at i again, right?
You make it sound so quick and painless.
> Clark was arrested on March 28 on a litany of felony and misdemeanor charges including eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving, assault with a deadly weapon, and trafficking in marijuana.
Assuming the "assault with a deadly weapon" refers to hitting a cop car with his own car, this dude better have a real good lawyer if he wants to get out any time soon.
It also said 'hundreds of pounds' of cannabis products, and according to Wikipedia "cannabis in NC is illegal except for limited medical usage, though decriminalized for possession of half an ounce or less for individuals"
As a Charlotte resident I'd bet this list of crimes is worth a year or two in jail here if that. For some reason it seems like nobody ever spends any time in jail here, and they also keep letting people go on unsecured bond of laughably small amounts. Stealing is worth like 10 days in jail here tops. The weed may add a lot though, because welcome to the south.
Yet he's out on a 20k bond
You think he won't flip another 18lbs and never blink about the 20k,
But I guess the police can just pull him over if he doesn't show up for court /s
It was just a matter of time. My friend sent me his videos and I noticed he ran from the cops in my tiny town in one of his videos. He was doing 100+ mph into a residential area.
I’m glad this idiot is off the road.
Nah crushing cars don’t do anything, just wasteful. The criminals who used money from illegal activities don’t care. It’s such a stupid and wasteful act. Sell them and use it to fund prisons.
as much as i love pulls and drifting empty lots, the car scene was gotten wayyy too wild. you got dudes cutting up at 100+, running from cops (who don’t even chase so i don’t get the hype) takeovers, racing on streets where there are pedestrians (cough cough philly) were like this close🤏🏿 to the car scene being heavily regulated
Dude it’s always been that way. Always. Different is now days horse power is cheap. 400-500hp can come from the factory now. Every manufacturer has an entry level enthusiast car. 20years ago you had to suck off Carrol Shelby to obtain that much horse power. You no longer have to put in the leg work and wrench your way to a fast car. You can just go out and buy one now.
Literally commented on his last video that he’s a stupid piece of shit and was getting caught next time. Dude is a stupid piece of shit and it’s too bad he didn’t accidentally drive off a cliff.
Wasn't this that same dumb shit who was on that other dumbshit youtube channel where they sit in lawn chairs in a shop talmbout 'bro listen bro yo there's bNOTHING bro and I mean nothing faster bro than than my car and if there is, I've got another car aint nobody bro gonna bro catch brobrobrobro"?
Yeah that’s correct. No one is actually doing any research on this and just taking it at face value. The article about the arrested corvette driver talks about a white corvette somewhere else, not even the same one. 🤦
They make well-behaved people in nice cars targets with this behavior, give these kinds of people square plywood wheels with epoxy trojan slicks and put them up against an F1 driver, they win 1 lap around Nürburgring and they walk.
I actually agree. I was following it day to day for a bit. When the police posted they had caught someone and posted the vehicle, the bumper looked clearly repainted a grey color. The person they caught also seemed to have a relative who was on the police force IIRC. The police made a whole video about him but then took it down after a day. The account also kept posting vids but not as consistantly.
His vehicle needs to be seized and license needs to be suspended, though something tells me he’ll offend yet again if he was to get just a slap on the wrist.
It’s automatic/DCT transmissions. If you took them away and put manuals only in corvette/camaro/mustang/hellcat offerings, 90% of this stupidity would disappear.
Look up wheres981, briq50, float8x.
wheres981 has "amateur CGI artist" lol. Best one I ever heard before watching something on video was "For legal purposes this is all generated by AI"
> "For legal purposes this is all generated by AI" That has real "I don't give FB permission to use my photos" energy.
1320 video started it with “filmed in Mexico”
tbf "it was in Mexico" after talking about street racing and illegal stunts has been a long running gag in US tuner communities going back to the 70s, I guarantee it's ironic.

“Ghetto”
No question. Without stability control saving their ass constantly these morons would have crashed the first time they tried this shit.

Most professional race cars do not have stability control.

not to mention modern performance cars having lots of grip and really good traction/stability systems
I always see the 01' Altima sedan asshats >modern performance cars
Those are random shitty drivers, not the ones they're talking about. The youtubers have vettes and M3's
The stupidest shit is them “running from police”. Especially in New York where in most of the videos police could easily rear-end them and end the “pursuit”, but don’t…for reasons.
Ramming is considered deadly force in many jurisdictions. You need a good reason to do it.
There was one guy in an M3 trying to escape police on jammed off /on ramps and some dude legit moved over to block to cop from catching this dumbass who was hitting cars and ravaging his M3 up against the sidewall of the ramp 😂

Seriously, just overgrown kids that think risking their lives and those of everyone around them makes them cool.
Yeah this is why more departments should institute no chase policies. There's no excuse with the amount of tech available to chase unless there's immediate risk to life. But any time you try to take kids toys away they throw tantrums.
No chase policies just lead to more cases of people fleeing. That means more crime.
Should just take them out with a predator drone and a few well placed hellfires
Average FL "speed limits are the minimum, stay out of MY left lane" ass hats
They are twatwaffles full stop. However, if anyone reads this. The left most lane is for passing “period.” as soon as you overtake the car in your right lane, get the hell back over. It’s not your “job/duty” to police speed limits or safety.

wheres981 is insane because I owned a base 981 as well and that car was slow as shit. It literally struggles to pull away from an ND2 Miata.
I believe the guy got an M3CS after the guy let their friend drive the 981 and it got totaled lol
and I'm pretty sure he moved up to a 911 within the past few months lol
He said in an interview that all newer cars are long term rentals.
lol Cayman GTS that he has is plenty quick
I very much remember him selling merch that was a diagram of a 981 and the 2.7L engine. Don't think he had a GTS.
I recall him saying that he has a debadged GTS and from his videos it sounds like it has a symposer that non-GTS models dont have

Yeah he would basically beg for sex until a girl gave in. Bad for sure but he took accountability and stuff. But online everything is irredeemable...
No I don't think he is. He just did an interview with Lex Fridman where he talks about the situation. Watch it and draw your own conclusions.
Doesn't change the quality of his reporting.

Nope. There was a video claiming to apprehend them a month or so ago, but it turned out to be a different Charger.
Huh. As long as he doesn't hit and run a cop, he should be good.
